as an agnostic who was never raised a certain type of way i feel like i have sort of an outsider’s perspective, so idk how hot of a take this is but seeing people completely change who they are for religion is incredibly disturbing to me.

AND. If you’re an outsider like me living in the south, do not sell your soul to the cult-like culture here.

Christianity, on its own, is harmless. Using religion as a source of comfort, community, and bettering yourself, is harmless. Just like any ideology, there are people who radicalize it. Typically for money and power. Karl Marx did not intend to slaughter millions of people with his manifesto, yet another man twisted its words to do just that.

I promise you; the people you are following do not practice what they preach. they only want your attention, and your money, and your clicks.

If you want to find God, that is something you discover for YOU. for YOURSELF. if someone is telling you what is holy and what isn’t, they are TAKING ADVANTAGE OF YOU. Which is more sinful than any homosexual act will ever be.
