My FR is NoodleNoot. (Only accepting friend requests from people I interact with regularly. Please don't take it personally if I don't accept yours!) Wishlist holder (wishlist is organized by "main"/high priority wants, and "secondary"/lower priority wants. Within each tier, items are organized by category.)

Not a roleplay blog. I don't know what I'm doing even after four years. I am only just now getting vague ideas for lore together.

I can't find the post where I first laid this out so I'm saying it again: GIVE UP ON INDIVIDUAL ANCIENT GENES!! UN-SINK THE COST FALLACY!! each ancient gene should have ONE parchment that lists the breeds it can be used on and is APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE DRAGON WITHOUT HAVING TO BE TRADED IN FIRST!! GET GLASS & GLOSS A DIFFERENT JOB!!!!!!!! if you could do the eye type redux you can also do an ancient gene redux!! I'm sick and tired of having 14 copies of one gene!! it's confusing to new players & it makes searching for items unbearable!! just look at this bullshit:

There used to be one on one of Maki's threads, but they stopped updating it a few years ago (which is fair, they're constantly running half a dozen different coli data threads)

It's very similar to the venues that are best for grinding festival currency as you need a venue that's highly populated by the element you're after

So here’s my headcanon on the Auction House that sort of gets rid of the problematic bit where dragons are selling other dragons, dragon children, etc.

The Auction House is a GoFundMe sort of thing for dragons. Those who want to move to a new clan but can’t afford it post to get funds for the move. Or, dragons willing to work to pay their way to a new part of Sornieth let everyone know what their expertise will cost. OR young dragons put themselves out there to be apprenticed to an adult who will teach them a skill.

I greatly prefer the idea that the dragons on the AH want to be there, and also the idea that the AH has a lore component.

Battle for the most Asteri-shaped dragon.

Pros and cons below:

Sandsurge:

Pros: Spiky, big, looks fast and like she’d bite you

Cons: four limbs, looks very terrestrial, snatched waist, can’t wear clothes

Undertide (2&3):

Pros: Definitely lives in water, bitey, can be sharp/spiky (with the right genes), no forelimbs

Cons: Thin, does not look like she can go on land, can’t wear clothes

Banescale (4&5):

Pros: Spiky/sharp, bitey but also cutes, no hands but yes legs, nice weight distribution, long tail

Cons: can’t wear clothes, questionable ability to swim, WHAT are those elbow fans

Fathom (6):

Pros: Can swim AND go on land (and looks like it), can wear clothes (!), big noticeable wings

Cons: Hand-like forelimbs, could be spikier, not very bitey-looking, tail could be a bit longer

Everlux (7&8):

Pros: Fat!, hella jaw, antennae, big wings despite fat, cutes

Cons: LIMBS, very small (just a big bug), can’t wear clothes

Bogsneak (9):

Pros: Fat!, tongue, looks like she could probably do okay in the water, can wear clothes

Cons: Forelimbs with THUMBS, small-ish wings, vibe is a little off
