i’m interested in getting a job at SUN entertainment and i’m curious if anyone had any advice for interviews/how to stand out in that field. also, i’m not sure if their staff page is old or not but it looks like there is a pretty small staff, so i was wondering if it’s hard to get a job there? thanks so much :)
Anyone?
not sure if it’d work for everybody, but for the person trying to change housing this might help. i think it would depend on what place you’re in now/wanting to be in, but they are doing something new this year where each hall is supposed to be grouped together with certain majors. I was originally a communications major and in Allen however i changed my major to marketing and since that didn’t fit their placement they wanted me to move lol. i just switched back to communication and im fine now

I completed my housing before I found this blog and it's made me want to change the hall that I live in. Is there any way for me to do that or am I stuck in the hall that I originally chose?
I haven’t looked at the housing portal in several years, but I would recommend going back to the original link you first used to pick a preference. It may allow you to modify you request. It may not. Even when you choose a freshman hall preference, there’s never a guarantee you’ll be placed there, so consider that, too.Â
hi there! im going to be a freshman in the fall and currently i live out of state. im moving in with my sister over the summer and my parents will be moving to arizona while im in the 2018/19 school year. is there any chance ill be able to qualify for in-state at some point?
Your first year, no. Maybe your second year. Read more about residency here: https://nau.edu/ssc/arizona-residency/
This is a really random question, but I was wondering if you knew if NAU had hard or soft shower water?
I don't know. I'm sorry.
FYS Topics, my dudes! I'm a few years removed from actual experience, but in my recent work at NAU, I heard all about the topics for these classes and got supremely jealous. The professors who teach them are super willing to work with you on any subject, and they're genuinely interested in the awesome topics they're teaching you. Hit em up for "filler" classes or even just classes if you can!
Agreed!
Can you recommend any easy/fun filler classes?
I have no clue how old this is, so sorry if time has passed. I liked crime and the media (CCJ215), different FYS topics (politics of Dr. Seuss, Zombies and Fear of the Future, the Think of Your Ink), Human Sexuality (soc316), art electives, etc.
So if I haven't enrolled for classes next semester and I want to withdraw from NAU, I don't have to fill out any forms?
I would think that'd be fine, but also consider your housing contract/meal plan if relevant. I also recommend double checking just so you don't get charged.
Hi, I am attending NAU in the fall of 2018 and was wondering if you knew which halls were for environmental science majors. I want to be able to pick a hall with a nice view but is still close to my classes.
Most science courses are on North Campus. Views in most units are by chance, but the closest halls would probably be Morton, Campbell, or Taylor. The north quad is lovely in the fall.
I want to leave school but not transfer and it's my freshman year. How would I go about this? Do I have to fill out a certain form or email someone?
This page is a few years old, but I believe it gives good direction for finding out what to do next: http://www7.nau.edu/academiccatalog/2011/introduction/important_policies/Combined/Withdrawing_from_NAU_Entirely.htm
first day of college in media: “Please open up your textbooks to chapter three because I expect you to have already read the first two chapters in preparation for starting this class”
first day of college in reality: “We’re going to spend the next hour slowly and thoroughly going over every page of the syllabus because I strongly suspect at least half of you assholes don’t actually know how to read”
So, just for clarification, if I feel that I need to move and it isn't working with my roommate and I, I should go talk to my RHD?
That's definitely something you can try. They might encourage a mediation with your RA first, but if it's completely not working out and there is space elsewhere, they may be able to move you.
What is in the Wedge? If you buy stuff there can you pay with dining dollars
Snacks, drinks, pizza, basic household items, etc, and yes, you should be able to use dining dollars.
