Sansa as a northern character being so aesthetically pleasing never gets old for me.

In a world of white and gray and black and of course, icy blue, the color auburn shows itself off very well. The way she looks like a weirwood with her porcelain skin and red hair is so cool. And her blue eyes can be a reminder of Others' eyes (and also a nod to Starks having Other ancestry which I root for). She even tolerates cold better than many other characters, spends half a day in snow and doesn't bat an eye.

Generally, storytelling with color and design is so powerful in her arc, with George reflecting her mood and goals through the things she wears, and the same attention has been put through her own colors.

Congratulations on being one of the only asoiaf artists who knows what auburn hair looks like lol everyone makes Sansa a ginger 😭 I have auburn hair just like how you draw Sansa’s and it always irks me that everyone thinks auburn is ginger!! Auburn hair is the color where some people definitively call you a brunette and others definitively call you a redhead—but never a ginger

The name Sansa is of Sanskrit origin, and it means ‘praise’, and ‘charm’. If this isn’t just perfect for Sansa’s character! The name is suitably chosen. I love it. Sansa is a beautiful, charming, young lady of noble birth.

I wish more people understood that Sansa was being abused from the time she met Joffrey, Cersei, and Littlefinger. They didn’t become abusive the moment they became overtly cruel, most abusive relationships start with a grooming process where the victim is manipulated with false affection, grand promises, and instilling fear (usually of others to start with to drive the victim into the abusers’ arms). Their goals are to isolate the victim from their family and support system, to gain their compliance, and to prepare them to accept later abuse because they think the abuse is not the real person and expect the “love” to come back. When people hate early Sansa, they hate a sheltered, insecure child being manipulated by abusers the way many adults are powerless to recognize or resist. Not to mention that those abusers are objectively some of if not the most powerful people in her world.
