When you leave a toxic controlling relationship the chances are they will STILL try to control you after the relationship is over. This is his final attempt at controlling me. I can't be controlled, I do what I want, I can't be manipulated into believing the way I live is wrong. I left, I moved on, I text him 3/4 times in 2 months about things I couldn't find and thought I left at his house. I didn't want a friendship, I didn't want to rekindle love. I wad exhausted, so mentally exhausted.
The ONLY reason I text him this was because I was sat crying because I didn't want the cat to not have his birthday tuna. I didn't want a reply. I told him that, all I wanted for my peace of mind was for him to read it so I could think of the cat eating his tuna on his birthday.
Yet the reply makes it sound like I was always messaging him. This is because he NEEDS to be the one to break contact. To control the contact between us. Do I care that I can't text him? Nah, what have I got to text him about? He can't attempt to control me anymore so I'm feelin fantastic. Also found out he blocked me on social media, my response? Great!! Now I don't have to feel like a bad person from wiping all our mutual friends from my contacts.
I had a lot of messages worded like this, like, you do this (which I usually never did) so I'm doing this! Constantly justifing his controlling behaviour by finding weird things I did that drove him to his decision.
Everyone please don't let yourself be controlled, be you, find someone who will love you for YOU. Don't you dare change for someone.
And lastly, the main message for this post; they will still try to control you after you end it, in the weirdest ways. Watch for the signs and cut ties.
