when youre fluent in two languages and in casual conversation it often happens that you forget a word in either of those languages and usually thats not that bad bc you can just say it in the other language if that person understands it or look it up through google translate if not but its the absolute worst when you forget the word in BOTH languages so now youre stuck in the middle of a sentence with the concept of a word that you cant even describe because youre too busy scouring 2 languages for the right word and its just an awful experience

i dont use LLMs in general anymore because i learned it is extremely bad for the environment and id like to witness all of my favourite media finishing before the world explodes

but even if it wasnt, i dont use LLMs for academic writing because id rather be intensely frustrated and turn in shit while stressed tf out than turn in shit and not even be aware it is shit because i cant think critically anymore

there are already so many problems within academics that the addition of non-precise calculation algorithms will only muddle it further

i understand that academic writing takes a long time and is very tedious, but that is how science has been and is able to develop and how we can systematically learn what is and isnt likely to be true about ourselves and about the world

didnt you choose your majors and specializations and research directions because you found it interesting? because you wanted to learn? do you not get excited when something new finally clicks?

if it doesnt, why not? why bother studying this discipline in the first place?

i truly implore people who use LLMs in their academic writing to reassess why they do so and whether they can stop because i think it is already a problem and it will get worse if nothing changes

These were all drawn in a 2 hour time span. I have a PROBLEM. These guys have a chokehold on me and I can't escape. It's so bad chat.

This all started because of Abolish thanking Pyro for the wither rose in Ep.4 and it all went downhill from there once I remembered one of the original pieces of vampiric lore that says, "Placing a wild rose on the coffin on a vampire will prevent it from leaving". Something about giving another person the means of imprisoning you and trusting them not to do it.
