On the Twelfth Day of Christmas:
On the twelfth day of Christmas, Lifeline Malawi gave to me a dozen words of thanks to our donors. We have donors from Canada, the United States, Paris and the United Kingdom. Together we are making a difference in the lives of those living in the Warm Heart of Africa in Malawi: Thankful Grateful Blessed Overwhelmed Appreciative Delighted Humbled Praise Generous Gratitude Astonished Zikomo (Chichewa for Thank you!)
On the eleventh day of Christmas Lifeline Malawi gave to me, 11 soccer ⚽️ players. Did you know that on top of medical care, Lifeline provides youth programs to local teens and children in the community? Here is the proud soccer team after winning a game. On the tenth day of Christmas, Lifeline Malawi gave to me, 10 years of service. Justus Kanyuka has been humbly serving Lifeline for 10 years. His servant heart and compassion for people make him an incredible manager and such a vital part of the Lifeline team. Thank you Justus for all that you do for the people of Malawi.
On the ninth day of Christmas Lifeline Malawi gave to me, 9 people singing. Lifeline provides community support groups for folks living with HIV/AIDS. Together, they support and encourage one another.

On the Eighth day of Christmas Lifeline Malawi gave to me 8 maternity beds. At Lifeline, we LOVE babies. Did you know in the last 5 months, the team at Lifeline has delivered 238 babies?! That is an average of 57 babies delivered per month. We are so grateful for the opportunity to provide care and support for new babies and their families. Together, we can help to give a positive start to the precious little ones coming into the world.
On the seventh day of Christmas Lifeline Malawi gave to me, 7 days a week to bring hope, health and healing to the community of Ngodzi which is home to over 200,000 people. Did you know we saw an average of 6, 265 patients per month for the past 6 months? We are so grateful for the work that is being done and the patients that are being helped
On the sixth day of Christmas Lifeline Malawi gave to me 6 special words: "AIDS is not a death sentence." Lifeline provides counselling and testing services to help individuals becomes aware and learn about their health. We supply life giving antiretroviral therapy to patients on a weekly basis as well as group counselling to bring knowledge and awareness of living with AIDS in the community. We desire to help individuals feel empowered, help prolong lives and reduce the number of orphans as parents are able to continue to take care of their families. Thank you for partnering with us and helping to bring health and hope to Malawi.
On the fifth day of Christmas Lifeline Malawi gave to me 5 days a week of health talks to waiting patients. These health talks can be heard each at such times as the early morning in the waiting area, or at outreach clinics in remote villages in the community, or to the Youth at the Lifeline Malawi Youth Program, or at the Under Five Clinics. Also counselling is always always part of HIV Testing and Treatment services. We are so honoured to have staff who care so deeply about the work they do.
On the fourth day of Christmas, Lifeline Malawi gave to me 4 incredible prenatal delivery nurses. From left to right: Tryness, Violet, Gloria and Veronica. These ladies work tirelessly to provide the highest care and attention for all the patients they care for. We want to thank them for their continued compassion and love. These ladies help deliver all the babies at the RoseTree Maternity Ward. They average about 58 babies each month.
On the Third day of Christmas, Lifeline gave to me 3 days a week of under 5 clinic. At Lifeline, we love children and we desire them to live full, happy and healthy lives. Children are referred to the pediatric clinic which provides access to post-maternity services, check-up services, immunizations and nutrition counselling for families. In the past five months there have been 2,857 visit by mothers and children to the Under Five Clinic.
On the second day of Christmas Lifeline Malawi gave to me 2 helping hands. With over 40 staff, we have many many hands serving the people at Lifeline. Through their servant hearts and compassion, patients are receiving love and much needed medical care. Thank you Lifeline Malawi for being the tangible hands of Jesus to the community!
Today we begin our 12 days of Christmas, highlighting different areas of Lifeline Malawi. So without any further ado...on the first day of Christmas, Lifeline gave to me the stunning Baobab Tree. This tree is the logo of Lifeline, but it means so much more. The Baobab tree symbolizes the values that Lifeline Malawi embraces and represents the birth of the outreach as Dr. Brooks held his first medical clinic under a baobab tree. Just like how the tree provides shelter food and water for those in its environment, so too does Lifeline desire to be a supportive and providing presence in the community. In the past five months, over 18,800 have visited the clinic for medical services offered by Lifeline Malawi.

There are an estimated 55,000 deaths each year from rabies worldwide, 24,000 in Africa, 500 in Malawi. Until now, with over 400,000 dogs in the country, only 0.5% have ever been vaccinated. We care for the victims of dog bites at the Lifeline Malawi Health Centre, most of the them are children. most of the attacks are from unvaccinated dogs. In May 2019, Lifeline Malawi assisted the Malawi Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Health to carry out a three day vaccination campaign against rabies in our Ngodzi area.
