My heart is so heavy today, and it goes much deeper than the results of the election. I am so mortified by some of the posts/comments that I've read, and conversations I've overheard. Regardless of who you voted for, we are human beings each with our own opinions and values, and we should be able to feel and express them without being berated or belittled. I am deeply saddened, and I refuse to accept this embarrassing lack of humanity as part of my country. Tomorrow is a new day and I will greet any intolerance and negativity with kindness and grace. We can do better than this.💜

Listen, I voted for her, but in my heart I don’t know that I’ve had many moments of truly liking or admiring her. But this moment? This poise? This complete self-control (in a situation where sexist men would expect her to be falling apart)? I have never been prouder or more admiring of someone. I agree, Bill. That’s our girl.
