I have been an educator for over 35 years and have just recently completed my Masters Degree in Integrated Technology. I live in Beijing China and teach Grade 3/Year 4 at an international school. iPad and Student Observation

I came across what I think is a terrific idea through Diigo this morning. I have not yet downloaded Keynote on my iPad nor have I worked with it but I love this approach. I have actually used this grid system for years but with pen and paper and then trying to remember to transfer to the computer.

I am definitely going to read more of this blog.  This is one of the reasons I am becoming a Diigo believer.  I know I am late to the party but I am learning to use the controls and have what I want pulled into my Learning Sphere.

Using the mobile app

While there is not yet an app for the iPad the one for the iPhone or iTouch which I have seems to be working well. It has all of the required features and is easy to use. I am becoming a believer in Tumblr. I just wish it could be accessed without a VPN here in China.

What a great time I had there for three days though I was jet lagged out of my mind after a brutal school year, especially from January to June. In the background you can see Alcatraz.  I was getting ready to go out on the ferry.

Learning About Tumblr

So I am off on a new learning adventure.... Tumblr.  Other than setting up my own page and getting a background that I like I have gone no further.  It will be interesting to see where this goes. 

Is this something that my students could use?  At the moment it is open in China so that is a plus but educational purpose - don't know. I have added it to my summer learning.
