James Bond is truly a man full of surprises.
Who would've thought an aircrewman in training would fit so naturally into the Double O program? Hell, who would've thought that he'd be able to bring the spark back to greenway?
James, somehow, managed to fit right in with everyone. Cressida, Monroe and the rest of the team. Maybe it's all part of the charm. Maybe it's all part of what makes him James.
So should you really be surprised that he can play a piano? So beautifully at that too?
The way he sits at the piano is effortlessly elegant, his fingers dance on the keys like they've been born familiar with each note. If you two weren't in Antractica for a self-assigned mission, this could almost count as romantic.
Such a pity that you are where you are now. If you close you eyes and focus you could've seen it, what could've been if you two had met under different circumstances.
So deeply lost in thought, you don't notice James getting up from the piano seat. You do snap out of your thoughts. It's when you feel the warmth of his hand almost caressing your face, hanging above like he is afraid of breaking an illusion.
"Shall we go now? If you're done testing out the robots ofcourse." Your try your best at erasing the previous thoughts from your head. You're playing with fire here.
"No 'Oh James, I didn't know you could play piano'? Did I miss a note there?"
Oh how you'd love to tell that stupid handsome face of his that your heart is beating so fast.
"What can I say? I've come to expect the unexpected from you, mr.Bond" You try your absloute best to tease him, hoping so desperately that it would hide the feeling you're trying to cover which seem to be under a spotlight so bright.
A smile, a genuine one, appears on his face. Not the one he portrays for his act. Something you haven't seen since before the mission on Slovakia.
"Well I better try my best not to disappoint then." His gaze drifts back toward the utility entrance before he steps away.
You already miss his warmth.
