The LW/OE split extended play will be available at "name your own price" on bandcamp 9/8/15. The cover bears the monument for the great Elijah P. Lovejoy, who was a very important figure in equal rights and freedom of speech and expression. We hold a great reverence for these rights and the place from which we (LW/OE) are based. We are excited to share these songs with you all and hope that you will listen as well as remember the people who sacrificed so much so that art like this can exist today. #stl #localmusic #music #lifewithout #oakwoodestate #freemusic #420
Its been a phenomenal summer. Thank you to everyone who attended a show. Thank you to everyone who cares about music. Thank you to anyone who cares enough to be reading this right now. Thank you easterxdaily for the most excellent photos. We have very exciting things in the works, including a very imminent announcement of the incredible band we are paying tribute to at #AUCW9 (AN UNDER COVER WEEKEND 9: NIGHT 3-SEPTEMBER 27TH 2015)
Some shots from the other night with I The Mighty, Hail the Sun, Too Close To Touch and Ursa Major. Fantastic lineup, great vibes. Photos courtesy of the fantastic michael-rex \m/

Friends:
Our record 'Uncertain Circles' is now out via band camp and CD. head to: lifewithout.bandcamp.com to stream and listen now. It has been an incredible experience creating this record and showing it to all of you. The feedback has been fantastic and we could not be more excited for what the future has in store. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, Ryan at birdcloudrecording for masterminding this piece of work and Walle B for the magnificent artwork. Please give the record a listen, we hope you enjoy. We have many greater things in the works. You can expect a 2 song split from us and our friends in Oakwood Estate soon. Warm regards and the best of vibes,
LW
I’m looking back at the past week at Bird Cloud and I’m lucky to have such a varied work load:
-Mixing a free improvisation record tracked here last week with Darin Gray (amazing weirdo bass player / dude in Tweedy who always wears a hat) and Tyler Damon (similarly amazing weirdo drummer / guy...
Our good friend Ryan Wasoba @ Bird Cloud Recording had some cool information to share about the making of our record. Check it out!

Opening up the Blue Swan Record's tour was too much fun. St. Louis couldn't of treated a group of Illinoisans any better. Thank you.

Studio update - 10/7/14
Hello Tumblr,
Last night marked the end of our third session on Uncertain Circles at Bird Cloud Recordings. For newcomers, that's the record we've been working on recording for awhile and the first things we've written as a band.
The nitty-gritty of the record is about 3/4 of the way done with us getting the lion's share of the guitar over-dubbing done last night. We didn't quite reach the level of effects pedals used on At the Drive-In's Relationship of Command, but we had our fair share of things. A couple of Brett's favorites in the studio were the JHS Superbolt and Strymon Flint. Being as he doesn't know how to play guitar, we wouldn't really sound good without those.
Ryan's advice has been paramount. He has no problem helping you dial in a guitar tone or telling you when something "needs more ass" and we can assure you... An assless record is one we are not interested in making; nor is it one you would want to listen to anyway.
