Something Serious

Okay guys. Today at school, I had a really bad panic attack and I collapsed. It was really bad, because I was in a dark room alone and nobody knew where I was. I was out for just over an hour. And I awoke having no recollection of what happened. I went to a trusted teacher and told him what happened, and long story short I’m seeing someone tomorrow. I’ve been having really bad stress problems, and it’s pretty bad now. I’m taking a break from social media for a bit. I will post my haul stories when I return though, so no worries c: I just feel like I need time to just figure out what’s going on with me and I need time to recover from it. I’m still scared about how I just blacked out like that and nobody even knew where I was. I’ll be back soon.

Lift #idk

Okay so I didn’t really intend to go lifting today but I went out to get some food from this takeaway place, but it’s nearby some shops and I ended up going in there and I literally just shoved everything I wanted straight into my bag. The shop was dead and nobody was paying attention to anything. I doubt they were checking the cameras anyway. Even if they did, I was in and out in like 3 minutes and I got away with just a few basic items. I got:

Wax Strips (pack of 20) x2 - £2.00

Luxury Lotion Set - £6

Vibrant Dream (perfume & cream) - £3

This shop is closing down anyway (there’s boxes everywhere and shit) so I doubt they care about lifting any more. I’m going to lift the shit out of that shop while it’s still open. I really want to go for all the beauty products there (but the boxes are massive, I literally just carry them out when nobody’s looking) and I want to get some food from there as well. The shop looked like a ghost town - and I’m not even kidding. It was near closing time, so there were like 2 customers and 2 workers out there (and they were nowhere near the entrance) so I was fine. I wish I had got more, but I didn’t bring as many bags as I normally do, I only had the one bag so I just got those things. I’m happy with what I got though :)

I’ll start posting pictures of my hauls very soon, I just need to learn how to take all those artsy pictures because photography’s not a strong skill of mine. But I plan to go on a proper lift this week to get some food and possibly other little items if I have time, with one of my friends. This is the same friend that went with me on the trip I got caught on. We talked about it, and they said that they really want to try and get into lifting so I’m going to teach them what I’ve learnt :) I really want a lifting partner as well. I’m fine going into places near me, but I’m really nervous about going to the shopping centre alone ever since I got followed by security. We’re hoping to go this Thursday, and I’m also going there this weekend with two other friends. But I’m not going to loads of shops on Thursday - it’ll just be food shops. The weekend will be for getting clothes, make up and so on. I’ve probably rambled on a bit, but I just love this so much. I love being able to get nice presents for my friends that I couldn’t before. I love being able to pamper myself and getting all these new things to experiment with. I just love finally feeling like I have control over something.

Lifting struggle #1

When it’s been a while since you last lifted and you have an opportunity to get loads of things but you get nervous ¬_¬

Haul #3 (I think)

Okay so this time it went SO WELL. For the first time, I actually tried the whole concealing in the fitting rooms thing and it was so good. I got so much stuff, like there’s too much to list. I got like 10 different make up items too! I’m so happy with this haul. I got this cute swimsuit which was like £18, then a £6 scarf and a £10 mascara and so on. I’m not going to total individually, but I think the overall amount saved was around £100 :)

It was SO easy though. In the first shop I went into, they had all these signs up saying “If you notice any suspicious behaviour, please report it” then “Thieves, you WILL be caught!” Lmao, how did I manage to get two boxes of perfume then? That was so easy. The shop was fairly busy, but I managed to find an empty aisle to conceal in.

Then, in the clothing shops I used the method of getting like 5 items I wasn’t interested in then two that I was because I thought they’d want to count my stuff but the changing rooms were so DEAD lmao. I was so surprised. I’m definitely going back to those shops! They made it so easy for me, damn. River Island does NOT fuck around though... like wow. That’s the only clothing shop near me that I haven’t successfully lifted from yet. They tag every-fucking-thing and the SAs hang around you like a bloody disease ;-; I’m going to try the whole rubber band method at some point though, because they have so many nice clothes and I just want them so bad.

The only negative is that I didn’t get everything I wanted bc I literally ran out of bag space lol. I had two bags - one plastic and one of them my lifting bag - and they were both just full of items. I got so many clothes and makeup that I didn’t have much space for food (which was what I wanted to get in the first place). Sigh. I’m going to go on a food haul sometime this month though so stay tuned :) I might talk more about this haul later but right now I need to go to the gym, so peace.

Okay, so I’m not sure if I already mentioned this but I went on a two-week vacation and it was amazing! The only thing I lifted was a can of Pringles from the airport lmao. It was like 3am and the airport was dead, so I just took it.

I also lifted myself a new bag, but that was actually a mistake. I was in New Look and I legitimately bought a whole lot of clothes but I was still holding the bag and I forgot to hand it over. Oh well. It was a really good chance for me to see what I can and can’t do. I’m going to try and lay low with my lifting though. I’m so damn happy with my new bag though! It has so much space, and it’s a zipless bag so I can just drop whatever in. Can’t wait to use it soon!

I know I said I wanted to take a break from lifting, but I honestly don’t think I can take a long break. I’m just going to be more careful, because I have been quite sloppy recently. I literally concealed in front of a camera at one point! I was pretty scared at one point, but I feel that I know how to deal with it now. I just have one question - if you’ve already concealed some items but you’re being followed, do you just pull the items out of your bag and leave or do you just leave without taking them out?

Fears

Okay, this is linked to my previous post and the friend I went with. Now, it actually didn’t go as planned. I was doing the lifting, and she was on lookout. But I think we drew too much attention to ourselves (not intentionally, but I guess we just aroused suspicion) because my friend told me that they saw like the shopping centre guards lurking around EVERY STORE we had been to. Every store. I was lucky they didn’t get me. Or them. My friend didn’t actually take anything, but they were just scared for me because the socks got me caught in Primark and it was them who asked me to get the socks and they were just really guilty and I hated seeing them like that so much. It was their idea to go, but I didn’t realise how scared they were for both of us.

If she hadn’t been with me today, I might have been caught.

I’m positive they have my image on some kind of notice board now. I mean, if I got over £100 worth of items then... yeah. I know I’m not going back there for a while... but I don’t know if I should lift any more. Yeah, getting free things is great but my sister was quizzing me today on how I was able to afford all the new lipstick I was getting, and my mom was quizzing me about my watch the day after I got it. They’ll get suspicious, and if my family ever found out they would hate me for this. They really would. I was confident about this at first, but I really think I need to stop. I’ve gotten everything that I really need, and I’m content with the idea of stopping. Plus, where can I go now? If I go back to that shopping centre they WILL suss me out. Problem is, I need to go there with my mom to get my glasses. Fuck. I feel like this is going to come back to bite me on the ass. In fact, I’m positive. Sure, my face will look good but is it worth all the risk? Maybe I just have to accept I’m not ready for this. I’m not ready for the every moment my heart stops for a moment as I walk past a sensor and pray that I didn’t miss any tags. I’m not ready for suspicious glances from staff. I’m not ready to lie to my family and friends. Not any more. Lifting is starting to become a bad habit for me. I go out at least once a week, simply just to lift. And I shouldn’t.

Basically. I’ll make posts and all, but I’m definitely taking a trip from hauls. I’m going to Spain - and I definitely don’t want to be lifting abroad. I might change my mind, but after seeing the fear on my friend’s face, I can’t. I can’t help but feel responsible, and I need to just stop. It’s going to stress me out. I know this is a really long rant and I’m sorry but I just had to get it out of my system.

Third Haul

Okay, third haul. Today, my friend invited me to come to the shopping centre to get some stuff, so of course I said yeah. They were looking forward to lifting with me. We’d done it before, but that was at one shop and it was just one item each. It was easy. But this time... I don’t know.

Firstly, we went into Bodyworks and I lifted

2 nail polishes (£2)

2 eyebrow pencils (£4)

1 hair brush (£4)

So in total, that was a £10 haul there. Next, we went into Lush and I managed to get

Grease Lightning - Spot Treatment (£6.99)

Rose Lollipop Lip Balm (£5.50)

Green Scrub Thing (£3.50)

So in total, that’s £15.99 (or just £16, basically). My friend said that the woman saw me, but she just smiled and let it go. Thank God... anyway, next we went into Waterstones and I lifted

My Grammar and I (£5.99)

I just shoved the book up my shirt and then we walked out. I also checked to make sure there were no RFIDs chilling on any pages. My friend was too nervous to try and take anything.

Next, I got them to come to the toilets with me so I could switch bags. I couldn’t find my lifting bag today so I had to use this stiff one, but it’s really obvious if I put things in there because I literally have to pull it open and then put the item in, so I was just getting things that I could conceal on my person so I could finally use the plastic bags in my bag and use them to get more things. It did stop me getting bigger things, but I don’t really mind. I actually got everything I needed (apart from a drinking bottle, but I can get one anywhere really).

After switching, my friend wanted to try her luck at Primark so we went and I “worked my magic”. I managed to get

4 emoji bracelets (£12)

Choker (£6)

5 pairs of socks (£3.50)

£21.50 in total from there. I was going to lift some nail varnish for another friend, but basically my friend noticed that this woman had seen me and was getting loads of people to watch us. We went on the escalator down, and I could see this high up guy (I could tell he was important) literally following us and I understood why my friend was scared, so we split up and I dropped the nail varnish and the scarf I was going to lift, before getting the fuck out of there. I went into the toilet, calmed down a bit (because I literally almost got caught) and then I just switched bags again. I decided not to phone my friend, just in case something was happening. For the next half-hour, I just stayed well away from Primark and went into different shops.

I went into Superdrug next and this one was slightly harder to lift from than the one I went to on Sunday, because there were more people, it was more spaced out and yeah. Y’know. I spent so much time just finding the right time to conceal things. I saw my PE teacher there as well, omg. But I managed to get:

MUA Eyebrow Kit (£3.50)

GOSH Lip Oil (£6 - I think it was anyway)

Revolution Velvet Black Heart Matte Lipstick (£6)

Coconut Milk - for hair (£3.50)

£21 in total from there. While I was lifting the lipstick, IT FELL OUT OF MY FUCKING SLEEVE OMG but nobody noticed!! I was lucky to make it out in one piece. Then, I went into Boots and lifted a pair of untagged sunglasses (£36) and I just walked out with it nestled in the crook of my elbow. Then, I went into Claire’s and took a disco lipgloss (£2) before leaving. At this point, I decided to phone my friend and they sounded so worried when they picked up the phone. I told them to meet me by this shop, and then they just explained everything that had happened and that we were being watched. It was almost time for us to go, but I just had to go into Asda to get some food. So, we split up again and I went in, got some brownies (£1.35), more brownies (£2), bon-bons (89p) and a massive bottle of conditioner (£5.99) then I left through a different exit because I had a feeling I was being followed. Luckily, it was right by the exit of the centre so I was about to leave and I was on the phone to my friend, but then I noticed my other friend, who left my school just hovering by this display right next to me and then we just talked for a minute or two, before leaving to meet my friend at the bus stop.

In total, I saved around £122 pounds. All in two hours!

Second Haul

Okay, so last Sunday I went on a small haul in town. I didn’t get THAT much because most of the places were closed but I spent just under two hours browsing.

First of all, I visited the 99p store (and it’s closing) and I got a whole load of stuff. I’m not even kidding, I might as well have been carrying a bunch of rocks lmao. I got this new eyeshadow kit, some hair & beauty products, some food and since I got so much I decided to just buy a charger cord (since I needed a new one) and then I left. I did see this super cute coconut set thing but it was way too big for me to take without anyone noticing. Plus, it was placed by all the cameras and registers. Too big of a risk. It was so cute though :(

Next, I think I went into Superdrug and I managed to get two Bourjois lipsticks (£6.99 each) and I think I got myself an eyeliner pencil too. Not entirely sure, because I lose half of my stuff the next day I swear... I didn’t get too much because I was just being careful really. After the whole thing at River Island, I’ve been on my guard a lot more. (If you don’t know, I almost got caught trying to lift a watch and I ended up legging it out the store. I put the watch down, of course.) I could have gotten so much more though! It was like a ghost town in there. There was like 1 person at the register and a few people milling about. It really wasn’t that difficult.

Then, I went into Boots but I went straight back out because there were cameras EVERYWHERE. Plus, half the things were tagged. I really don’t like dealing with tags.

Next, I went into Poundland and I went to the Pick and Mix thing, filled up a tub and then just started eating it as if I’d bought it. I also lifted some liquid eyeliner. Then I just walked out normally.

Next, I went into Wilko and I think I lifted yet another lipstick and I bought two headbands for £1 (just because), then I’m pretty sure I decided to pop into Asda before going home but it was too busy and there were staff everywhere so I didn’t bother trying to get the food items I wanted. I just grabbed some bobbles and left.

I was pretty satisfied with my haul (I mean, those Bourjois lipsticks are absolutely fantastic) but I was pretty annoyed that I didn’t get everything I needed. But overall, I’m not sure what the total would be (I wasn’t really counting) but I think it would come up to about £40-ish.
