I used to go all the time and my dad told me that if they know you’re shoplifting, they don’t catch you or apprehend you at first but they keep totaling up what you’ve stolen until its a felony charge and then they apprehend you and add on everything else they know of!!!! (my dad worked in security for a long time)

Okokok so I was going to kohls with my family and I really wanted to lift but I realized you have to be hella talented to lift from kohls so I decided imma just scope the place out so that next time I know what to do. During this scoping experience I gained a lil bit of insight. First of all there are NO sales associates in the changing room. You literally can have anything in your cart and then bring your cart into the changing room and lift everything inside and nobody will know a thing. What I would have done if I wasn’t with my mom is in the beauty dept try on some swatches of makeup and then put a couple for each type u want to take and then take some clothes to put in your cart and then go into the changing rooms. Take what you want and then decide you don’t want the rest and honestly the changing rooms are a mess so i would just leave the cart in the changing room or outside it and head outta there nonchalantly. I plan on doing this next time so if u see a flaw in my system please let me know what else I could do or give tips.

I saw on another post on here that covering up makeup with clothing is something LP specifically look for, as I'm sure it's what a lot of shoplifters do. I mean I know people on here have done it, but I personally just wouldn't fuck with makeup there. Ulta carries almost all of the same brands. And for the love of god NEVER conceal on the floor at kohls you will die

HERE IS MY FIRST HAUL FOR YOU GUYS😘 this is my typical trip to the mall. It fills my entire purse and I love it💕 I’m not going to type out all of the prices but the total came to $511 and I was so shocked, has me rethinking that I have probably stolen 20k+ probably, I know in one trip my total was once 2k+ so it makes sense. Honestly so happy I lift, like this stuff should not cost this much! First photo is from VS, then Macy’s, and lastly Express! For the first time my VS tried to count my things but that didn’t stop me.

Little note, the Betsy Johnson earrings had an RIDF tag, like the one that is the actual tag with price and barcode so beware!

Hope you guys enjoyed my first haul, I can’t wait to post more!

Ugh I got caught in a Target today. I made the dumb choice to lift despite being really out of whack due to some personal stuff. I’m being super manic, but my husband is a whiny-ass shopper and opted to leave me by myself even though I’m Not Okay.

I tried to conceal a couple face serums since I could really use the cash. But it’s a new purse, and this was supposed to be a scouting mission only since I don’t go there [yeah, I shouldn’t be making decisions right now] so it wasn’t very smooth. When i was trying on clothes, I heard a security guy loudly remind the girl at the front to check for packaging after everyone left, like three times [there was none]. Then he watched me forget my basket and go back for it, at that point I’d already decided to bail, but it would be weird if I didn’t remember. He watched me put back the folded shirts, and then started bluffing about calling the cops, so I just gave him the serums and he let me go.

Weirdly, I wasn’t even acting suspicious, besides that sloppy conceal. I actually intended on buying some stuff, the lift was super impulsive.

Liftblr, if you feel manic or dissociative, and you tend to steal on impulse, take someone with you who can cover for you , or keep you from making stupid choices. I was lucky in that I had medication with me to blame, and that the guy didn’t want to do the paperwork.

I only rly post hauls when I’m rly happy about one bc 1.) My camera is shit and makes my hauls look like shit and 2.) After a day of lifting I’m exhausted and hot and don’t feel like setting my stuff up lol and then I never get around to it

But I agree w this you should have at least a few and maybe one or two recent hauls (within the past 2-3 months) otherwise it’s just a bit odd

@liftinghighs That’s is all that I’m saying. If you don’t have any hauls posted that’s an immediate block. If you have few then that’s fine as long as I know that you haul and just don’t reblog tips and what not and call yourself a lifting blog. If you can’t understand why I’m taking these precautions for myself then you can get blocked too (whoever chooses to feel that way). Although I am a lifting blog, I don’t plan on doing this forever and can’t fathom anyone trying to mess up my future just because I’m doing this right now as a side income and they’re assholes wanting to play cops. I have big plans and goals for myself later on in life and don’t plan on shoplifting forever so I need my name and record to stay as clean as possible and making sure that I take precautionary measures is important to me at this point. Is it possible for magnets to work on some tags but not others? 😥😤 I got some of those tiny neodymium ones in the mail (it’s ten of them all stacked together) and wanted to use them at VS, which usually has pencil tags. But then I got there and it was all hook tags! So I went to a different store and they had the tags that are like black rounded rectangles and the small metal circle on the oher side (?idk what they’re called I’m sorry) and the magnets didn’t work!!! It stuck to the metal part but didn’t pull it away from the plastic. I still want to try them out on pencil tags but maybe they’re just too weak 😳

If we’re thinking of the same black tags, you need to put the magnet on the bigger side, push the pin in a little and pull it back out. (I just got done with my work training and we were showed how to remove a bunch of different magnet tags)

Huh. Well thank you!! I'll have to try that later. I just put the magnet stack against the circle on the side where the pin is and tried to pull it out that way. And I found them on a tag post, it's called a square tag. Is that the type you're talking about?
