nowhere else to put this and ive never watched digital circus in my life (only know what I know from brief clips and what I’ve heard in passing) but i think people putting down the use of “isn’t she lovely” in the finale to be kind of annoying

i saw somebody say that it’s “just being used as a shitty trans allegory” which is such a disingenuous reading of it. like, having the line “less than one minute old” over top of a character who’s only coming to terms with their reality and their actions for the first time mere seconds before they die (and realizing how badly they want to live) is kind of heartbreaking, actually. and i dont even go here

when i was watching severance s2e2 with my friends and we got to the scene of helena watching the kiss it freaked me OUT. I was on that helena is pretending to be helly theory so I was like Ew, oh my god, she’s evil, she knows about the kiss, she’s totally studying it to replicate those feelings convincingly when she goes down—

And then my friend just said “Was that her first kiss?” And it completely reshaped the way I saw the scene. Because oh. Oh. :(
