Yeah I could but that would involve explaining to them and I don’t tend to really like getting into conversation with the kitchen staff, they always find a way of trapping me there and making me dry dishes. A normal knife to me is a steak knife, I swear that’s all my Da has in his kitchen. Again seems like a big investment on the off chance I’ll get hit with the cooking bug. 

Aren’t mistakes just kind of dramatic experiences when you really think of it? Sounds like you’ve had some pretty shit experiences, most of my mistakes just end up in a couple of cuts and bruises or waking up to someone I shouldn’t.

Fair enough point I suppose.  I can’t say I’ve ever had that happen to me.  But someone has to do the dishes.  A steak knife is usually a serrated edge which is good for a sawing motion, less for a chopping one.  Well, I do happen to have everything needed for the dish and you’re already coming here, so we can just use mine.  But I don’t know how you plan on replicating the dish for yourself or someone else.  

Dramatic sure, but they are still mistakes.  I think it’s fair to say I’ve had some shit experiences, especially in some areas.  Thankfully I can’t say the waking up to someone I shouldn’t isn’t one I’ve made.  Then again, most of time ‘waking up’ to anyone in that way isn’t something I do.

I’m a big fan of making mistakes, how else do you get stories?

If you go down to the kitchens you can probably borrow some of those things.  Minus the food of course.  A pairing knife is a sharp, small knife, the smallest blade in the kitchen and exceptionally maneuverable, making it perfect for small and delicate prep tasks.  That depends on what your idea of a ‘normal’ knife is. To me, that is a butter knife and it won’t cut it, no pun intended.  The cookie sheet, the glass baking dish, a knife, a cutting board, the sauce pan with lid and even the chopper are all things you could potentially use for other meals.  In fact, I could teach you other meals with those.  Yes, that would make just as much sense.  

I get stories from doing things, from experiences.  In my experience you get regrets from mistakes, or you potentially hurt others. But that’s just my experience.

I don’t make my own, although I do want to start brewing my own beer, I just prefer to mix absolutely everything together. The goal of all my parties is to encourage people to let themselves go and if that ends up with them not remembering the night then that’s the mark of a good night

Salmon I can do.  You will need a pairing knife, kitchen sheers, a cutting board, a cookie sheet, tin foil, 2 lemons, a bunch of fresh dill, some extra virgin olive oil, a head of garlic, a small extra fine grater or chopper, a quart sauce pan with a lid, and a glass baking dish.  You will also need some rice, salt, freshly ground pepper, a filet of salmon, no bone, with or without skin, your choice, lemon pepper if you’d like, rice instant or not is your choice, a block of butter, and a bunch of asparagus.  I can come to your suite if you’d like, well if you’d come get me, but we can cook in your suite if that makes you more comfortable, or we can cook in mine.  Either or.    

Interesting.  I can understand wanting to let go and forget sometimes, but I am concerned with doing that in a party setting.  It seems a recipe for mistakes.

You could say that, yeah. I just like having things to do, and being productive. Relaxing, taking time for yourself, and all of that is great and needed, and I wholly advocate for that too but I wouldn’t want to relax 24/7, then it wouldn’t be relaxing anymore. Yoga has been great during this whole thing, and more and more people have been coming out to join, which makes me happy to see. We will, yeah. What do you play?
