Hi there! My name is Haru, EST, 28, nice to meet ya. Thought I would share a little information about my baby Rae. She’s a character I’ve been building for years and I adore her. I would love to plot, doesn’t matter what universe you’re in, if you’re canon or oc, I’d love to write with you.

Rae spent a lot of time in Central Park, mainly due to being a fairy. Her powers were limited in New York, but she was able to care for and maintain many of the plants in the area. She would also weave blankets out of fallen leaves and leave them for anyone needing some semblance of shelter.

When creatures started attacking people in her neighborhood, Rae learned how to better channel her powers. She also took up more defensive martial arts in an attempt to be smart. Although she knows a lot about the other supernatural creatures in the world, she doesn’t fully understand how dangerous they can truly be.

Very strong-willed, but also sweet and very considerate. Will definitely put others before herself.

Used to be able to fly, but had her wings cut down. She doesn’t like to talk about it as she doesn’t know who did it or why. In truth, it was her mother. She didn’t agree with Rae leaving her initial forest and when she did they sent a hitman after her. But they didn’t want her dead, they wanted her hurt. They thought it would make her come home. It made her more focused on making a space for herself without the fae.

Likes a very nature-focused living space. Her apartment was flooded with plants and a few stray cats. Since she travels a lot now she keeps some plants in her car and takes care of community animals when she comes across them.

Has great healing abilities, but not sure how to use them.

Enjoys tea a lot more than coffee.

Loves the sound of rain and the smell of old books.

Can put up a fight, but doesn’t want to. But being a hunter has made it necessary to fight. So, she’s gotten pretty good.

Can wield a sword very well, as well as a gun.

— the nights were growing colder; it was almost winter. The seasons were winding down and trying to reduce control from the extremities of the heat to the lower temperatures. Yet, the weather seemed bipolar. Some days continues to be hot — while others cool breezes of air and gloomy days over took the scenery. However, it was almost time for the seasonal changes. Damon walked amongst the sidewalk, he just dropped off Elena at her home by foot; many were on foot actually, enjoying the fall, the leaves and pumpkin patches. Damon hated pumpkins. They were always so messy once opened.

He was almost to the Salvatore home when he heard a faint cry for help, his hearing abilities picking it up from miles away. He looks around, trying to find the exact direction before realizing which way; using his speed ability to follow the cries and screams. Upon arrival, Damon sees the sight of a young woman in pain, bleeding from her back in the middle of the woods. Looking around, he knew this wasn’t his doing. “Who did this?” He asks her, curious to know who was around to cause trouble, “tell me who did this to you.”

The absolutely terrifying crunch, that she assumed was her bones being crushed under the weight of her attacker, made Rae regret, for only a second, leaving the fae realm. She clenched her fists, attempting to move away from her assailant. Her movements were slow, predictable, and she knew that. The expanse of forest around her would normally have given her peace, but now it filled her with dread. Nobody was going to come out here. That was why she'd been chased out this far. The woods of Mystic Falls were not heavily explored.

Pulled out of her own thoughts by fingers grazing her wings, terror took over her senses. "No, no, no, please!" she screamed. She could hear them ripped from her body. She could feel the warmth of them replaced with the warmth of her own blood as it moved to cover her back. She knew she was screaming at this point. She knew she was sobbing, but she couldn't hear it. All she could hear was a high-pitched ringing in her ears. This was wrong. She was wrong. A fae without their wings wasn't meant to exist. This was the ultimate punishment, but why it had been cast down on her alluded her for now.

In a fog from the pain, the fae barely registered the presence of another stranger. She could see him, she could see that his lips were moving, but it took her a few seconds to process what he was saying. "I....I don't know," she breathed out. There was clearly still fear and adrenaline lingering in her system as her body shook. "I ran. I tried to run. I don't..."

"Thank you for the help," Dick meets her eyes as he says it and pauses before he continues. They're strangers to each other, but he wants her to know how sincerely he means it. His eyes dart back to the orbs of light, watching them dim. "I'm practically good as new."

He straightens, shifting his weight from the concrete wall to his legs. His hip is fine now, he's breathing without pain. He stretches his limbs, testing his body. He moves the torn fabric against his shin to the side to admire Rae's handiwork— all that's left is a thin scar. He grins up at her.

"You've responded to Deathstroke attacks pretty well so far. He's the one who broke my ribs," His voice is light, joking. He lowers his voice as he continues. "It was a tough situation. No fatalities reported yet, thank Gd. There are civilian injuries, but not enough to overwhelm the hospital system."

Offering Dick a smile in return to his grin, Rae notices the scar on his shin. "Oh! Sorry, forgot to mention, the scar will go away in a few days most likely. It's sort of a result of my magic lingering," she explained. Most of the heroes she'd engaged with already had a fair share of scars and didn't really mind an addition of a temporary one, but she still felt like she had to share.

Although Dick offered up a lightness that Rae appreciated, she also knew that he clearly cared greatly for the people he protected. "Well, I hope he doesn't get a chance to break them again, but if he does," she said. "You have someone you can call to help. And thank you for the update on the injuries. Are you heading back to Gotham tonight?"
