mental health status: need to look at the sea for hours and stay quiet
We report: we now get around to a month of short nights, a handful of hours between the two ends of nautical twilight. We wonder whether this is enough time for the thermometer to go down. It still smells like sunshine on our skin, even as the sun is getting further away from us.
"i think", i say, about my own ocs, who i made,
"my headcanon" i say about my ocs, who i make up what's canon or not for

I used this picrew to make Will and Cassandra. They mean so much to me you don't even knowwww (well if you follow me here you probably do know xD)
love it when audio drama leads, be it they have canon names or not, go by these special monikers: the archivist, the voice of night vale, the obituary writer—long live vague and mysterious titles for protagonists.
hmmmmm... the lighthouse keeper :))))
LIGHTHOUSES AND ANGLERFISH ARE POLAR OPPOSITES BUT THEYRE THE SAME DO YOU HEAR ME
I wrote a little something that's kind of a lead up to a lot of my lighthouse story hehe (Will is not the lighthouse keeper, I've decided that her name is Claire, might change my mind about that at some point)
On August 17th, 1997, Astronomers worldwide noted a surge of energy in the cosmos that they couldn’t understand. A glitch in the universe, like someone briefly turned the lights off and back in, only twice as bright - only to go back to normal am millisecond later.
A little over twenty years later, a group of scientists in the basement of some small university were still trying to figure out this blip in the universe.
Somewhere else in the world, water for tea was being boiled in a kettle on an old stove.
Somewhere else in the world, a bird was singing a familiar melody.
Somewhere else in the world, Will was sitting on their bed at their grandmothers house, skipping through radio stations on her old radio. It was a slow day and nothing interesting was on and Will was trying to find something interesting to listen to while drawing. They had let themselves sink into the pillows, staring up at the fluorescent stars at the ceiling that had been there since they were a child when they heard it. Some old song on the radio fading away into fuzzy static - replaced by the voice of a girl, far away and slightly distorted but still clearly audible. Will sat up to turn up the volume, listening to the soft voice speaking
“i think a storm is coming… there hasn’t been one that bad in a long time. I know i shouldn’t be worried but something is different. I can feel it… But i-”
The voice cut off and the original program resumed. Will furrowed their brows and glanced out the window. The sky was clear, only a bit of wind rustling through the leaves outside the window. The sunlight had almost completely faded away, the first stars twinkling in the at the horizon.
(idk where I'm going with this yet but I enjoyed writing this)
i should be in a magical lighthouse outside of time and space 😔
when a star falls out of the sky and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
it's just me and the unreasonable amount of images of lighthouses i've saved on pinterest against the world
