p.s. youre so right, he WOULD be a nice guy. he's legit going out of his way to service and provide for people through working at the baroness because hes bored of his old malevolent history. plus there are characters who have canonically stayed at the place that he doesnt seem to be holding hostage. doorman is definitely the type of character to play 4d chess for a bigger agenda but i think if someone's ego isn't unchecked he's pretty chill around most mortals. bar the whole, psychological warfare he uses on the enemy in the context of facing the opposing ritualists in the maelstrom. i mean he's really kind to paige and bebop in their pre-battle dialogue... 🥺 okay sorry for gushing im just also experiencing serious deadlock rot and ur piece resonated with me ok enjoy ur day

oh wow this is a lot ! /pos i really appreciate the ask, I too am in the deadlock trenches. this game is making me draw people more, a skill I think im weakest at. this is such a fun game vro, the designs, voice actor, art direction, so good. all of it. i do wanna draw more of the doorman and other characters (when I find the time between art homework assignments and mental illness) but thank you for the kind words, it means a lot to see others relating. its been a bit hard to find motivation to keep up and continue my ideas at times when I feel like it seems the algorithm isnt in my favor. but man.... I do wanna explore more with how these characters are on a day to day basis (slice of life type). my twitter feed literally is half deadlock now. I literally do wanna draw more but human anatomy and getting the flow right is so hard for me. alas, i did it with mecha, so I guess I'll have to keep it up <3
