A Silent Love Song
Hartley stared up at his impossibly beautiful lover, his eyes half open and blurry form his orgasm. He wished he could capture the rapturous expression on Barry’s face, keep it locked away in his heart for when he needed to remember why he kept going everyday. And when he leaned down to kiss him, slow and sensual, making his toes curl in delight, he knew he’d never feel like this with another human being.
Barry was his light, his reason for getting up. Once he had been so focused on revenge and hatred, that was washed away by Barry’s love. Eclipsing all other thoughts or desires, with his warmth and acceptance. And as they kissed he wasn’t even slightly embarrassed by the few tears that rolled down his cheeks, so utterly and stupidly happy in this moment.
And when they finally parted their lips, foreheads resting against each other he let his fingers lightly trace Barry’s cheek. “I love you.” his words soft, barely there but written all over his expression.
Barry gave a soft smile, seeing the tears on his lover’s face and knowing they weren’t out of sadness. He wiped them away and kissed over each of Hartley’s eyes gently, saying without words that he loved Hartley, too.
He rolled off him, tangling himself in Hartley’s limbs as he continued to cling to him, peppering him with kisses and petting along his skin. He pulled back after a moment, signing at Hartley to wait a moment as he got up.
He returned with a wet washcloth and and wiped them both down, smiling all the while. This had gone better than he’d expected, and he felt lighter than he had in so long. He turned to look at Hartley and signed once more. “So... dinner?” He grinned, humor in his eyes.
