As they passed the gates of LPA, May could feel a wave of bliss similar to Hikari’s. It had been forever since she was able to visit Lilycove City in the day time, and boy it felt refreshing. It felt like home, which was certainly a feeling she missed. LPA, though a comfortable school, was still school. She associated school things with it, like bad grades, drama, and peer pressure. I guess you could justify it by say that today was for the preservation of her “mental health” in a way. Stepping outside the main gates and being able to see the bright and lively city had energized May, and she was certainly looking forward to this much-needed skip day. Thank arceus Hikari had texted her.
Having been admiring the excellent weather and beautiful city previously, the brunette whipped her head around to Hikari, “Oh, well I think there are some cute shops on the main promenade, or we can go to the big Department Store down a couple of blocks. I dunno which yet—but either way, lets just get moving!! We’ll figure it out along the way, right?”
With that, May linked arms with Hikari and they were off down the city’s brick sidewalks. She tried to remember some of the places she went as a kid with her family, her eyes darted around the city. As she searched for that one cute clothing shop her mom would take her into, her blue eyes made their way over to glance at Hikari.
“Soooo,” she started, drawing on the vowel of the word, “How have you been lately anyway? Everything been going well with your boyfriend?~” Eyebrows wiggling at the last word, she couldn’t help but to be a little playful on the subject. “You guys look really cu— OH OH THERE IT IS!” Still expecting an answer back from her friend, May dragged them into a local clothing store with white, pink, and seafoam green colors accenting its interior layout.
