Okay, so this is a more official post recapping exactly what I want to do, as I’ve been discussing today.
I want to put together a group of people to help pay the monthly fee of a constantly running, dedicated Minecraft server. Each of the 10 other people involved would pay $1.50 CAD per month to keep the server going. It would be a 12 person server with 10 Teamspeak 3 slots, and I have a bunch of different ideas for it.
Polls - for if we should change a map, a new map theme, future quests, etc.
Quests like scavenger hunts for a certain amount of specific items, to see who can build something the fastest, to see which team can find a specific biome first, etc.
A primary congregation area where we can build a little village.
A Player vs. Player Arena.
A Trading Post.
A Stable where you can purchase and animal with a lead so you can take it home with you (any animal, including horses, ocelots, and wolfs).
The option to opt out of quests in order to go do your own thing.
Once established in the village you may branch out in any direction and begin setting up your own stuff or whatever you would like to do.
We could also make books and write short stories in them and share them with each other.
When a Map is switched out I will keep it on file, and have no problem uploading a clean .zip file of it to my personal website if you’d like a copy of it for yourself (because losing work sucks). I can and have no problem making a page that hosts previous map files once there are enough of them.
So if you’re interested in pitching in for a server, let me know.
I’ll be on the server as well as a friend of mine, anyone else interested in joining should go and mail her~
