I haven’t been on Tumblr in a long time because it was negatively impacting my mental health, but this seems important to me.

I need a list of every single US company that imports to or operates within Canada, so that I can boycott all American products and services until such time as the US stops being literal Nazis.

The Women and Children's Shelter of Barrie (http://barrieshelter.com/) has over-stepped their bounds. A close friend of mine for the last decade who suffers from mental illnesses (borderline personality disorder, anxiety disorder, depression, and autism) was being stalked by some creepy barfly who sexually assaulted her, followed her home and was trying to frequently break into the home she shared with her 4 year old daughter. For obvious reasons of safety I will leave out their names. Of course, this situation wasn't in the least bit safe for her daughter, so my friend packed up and moved to the shelter hoping to find a new place where this creep couldn't find her in a short period of time.

Due to the situation and the difficulty in finding a place where her and her daughter could be safe on their own – and her recent seriously traumatic sexual assault - my friend had an anxiety attack, something I suffer from myself and which require careful, soothing words to calm. There was a brief explosion of anger because the shelter was saying things like “you're overreacting” and “you need to stop, you're acting like a child.” Then, to add insult to injury, they kicked her out of the shelter and banned her from the property and made her wait about 8-9 hours before they unwillingly sent her her stuff, which I'm convinced they only did because she told them she would call the cops on them if they didn't.

This is not, in any way, how you are supposed to treat a person with mental illness(es) who is having an anxiety attack. This is, in fact, the total and complete opposite of the things you should be saying and doing in order to shorten the duration of the attack. She literally was crying for the next 3-3 ½ hours while her daughter was holding her and trying to make her feel better. Her 4 year old daughter was handling her anxiety attack better than the adult staff of the shelter.

Then, they had the audacity to call Children's Aid Society and tell them that her daughter was “scared of her and hiding in the corner” and that she was telling her things like “we can't go to Grandmas because you're a bad girl” and other things she didn't say, and has never said, to her child. They called and lied about her to Children's Aid, who are now threatening to take her child away for literally no reason. They had no right to call and lie about her because they didn't have the training to deal with her mental illness and her anxiety attack one time. Now my friend isn't allowed to bring her daughter anywhere after 5:30pm, and Children's Aid has to approve her apartment before she moves in or they will remove her daughter from her care. For no reason. For an anxiety attack that did not scare her child, and for lies that were told by people who barely know her and don't care about her or her well-being at all. When multiple times in the past Childrens Aid have deemed my friend mentally fit and not a danger to herself or her child in any way. So I'm confused why now should be any different, when its the exact same thing. Someone doesn't like her and has called and lied and there is no proof or evidence to support their claim. In fact, there are at least two other residents from the shelter who are confused and upset as to why my friend has been treated this way when “nothing happened that [she] should have been banned for.”

Frankly, this is unacceptable treatment of a mentally ill person by people who were supposed to be there to help her. This is abuse of power, abuse of station, for these people at the shelter to hurt a mentally ill person emotionally and psychologically because they couldn't deal with the anxiety that they provoked and they couldn't handle the explosion that comes with pushing someone who has borderline personality disorder to their limit. Something needs to be done about this. This cannot be allowed to go unnoticed and there needs to be some kind of justice here. These people at the shelter have knowingly abused a person with mental illnesses because she has mental illnesses. Spread the word: literally the only women and children's shelter in Barrie is run by people who abuse the mentally ill.

Buffy’s second death couldn’t summon a Slayer. Her first death summoned Kendra, Buffy is now out of the line-up except as a functioning revived Slayer. Her second death and subsequent revival did not result in another Slayer or she would have turned up during Season 7. The First would have mentioned her. Something. But there wasn’t, just Faith and Buffy, the 2 active Slayers, and the Potentials.
