I feel really bad about ending this blog. I loved writing as Felix and had some great experiences, but he's been tied to a really bad instance that happened to me and writing as him here would be triggering for me. I might return when my feelings aren't as hurt and when the memories aren't as bitter. Right now I feel like this chapter of my life got ended abruptly. It might've been for the best, but it's weird and it hurts me. So I'm signing off for now. Hopefully I'll return. If you please, I can give you the URLs to my other blogs so we can write there.

Felix stood, helpless, watching the man struggle out of his soaking clothes. For a long while, as he undressed, the lighthouse keeper wondered if the strange man had entirely forgotten about him, for he painfully stripped of his clothes without acknowledging the other. Briefly, Felix wondered if it was perhaps a cultural difference. Maybe it was nothing but a masculine denial of the need for help. Maybe it was nothing at all. 

The boy peered at him. 

“Would you like a bed, sir?” he asked again, hoping the question would register. Outside, the storm rumbled back to life. It began slowly, rolling thunder gently shaking the panes, fat drops of rain alluding to the torrents to come. Felix felt helpless and full of dread - the quicker he could get this man to a hospital, the better.

Annoyance creeps upon Felix and he balls his fists, trying not to get too upset. He’s not exactly sure what he expected, but his idea of Spider-Man was not a quipping, sarcastic, guy with all this spare time on his webby hands.

“If you’re not going to take this seriously,” he retorts, “then I’ll find someone who will. Not only is this an issue of national security, but it’s important to me that I have my own mission autonomous from S.H.I.E.L.D!” Oh shit. He did not say that aloud. 

Nice going, Felix.

An ugly storm rears on the broad horizon, the sky bruised yellow and black as the setting sun colours the world damned. The sea c h u r n s like the anxious stomach. A plethora of vessels bob fearfully in the creaking harbour. Lighting splits like a scar over the growing waves in the bay. Where will you go?

A sarcastic retort begs to be said, but Felix knows that it’s time to be serious. This matter is time sensitive. And he knows that what he’s about to say seems unbelievable, and excessive joking probably won’t make it seem any less so. 

“My name’s Felix, and that’s all I’m saying until you come here. I’d rather not tell you and the entirety of New York.”

Cars honk in the distance, a siren wails, a bat squeals. The air is cool - unnaturally so for even an early autumn night. His grandfather safely tucked in bed, sneaking out of their little flat was easy, as was sneaking into the park. I’ve forgotten mäi Mantel - my coat, he lied to the rangers and staff, rubbing his bare arms vigourously to play the part. 

Once all of the staff had left, Felix was left to find the only other person in the 358-acre wood. It was...surprisingly easy. However, knowing the talents of the spandex-clad vigilante, the boy suspected that Spider-Man found him first. 

“I’m glad your secretary got my message to you on such a short notice,” he quipped loudly.

Revan huffed, brow furrowed, teeth clenched, a grating sound coming from how tightly he pressed his jaw shut against the pain. It wasn’t so much a sharp ache, not something that emanated possible death, not that kind of pain, but almost worse in its deep set throbbing. It felt like his skin was awash in it, his muscles tightened and released and tightened again from it, his bones trembled and shook from it, the very marrow of those bones vibrated with the deep set pain.

“E-English,” he managed to bite out, but there was a trace of an accent under the word, something drawling sounding, something that certainly didn’t belong out at the sea. “Help me….g-get this…damned sweater off…” he huffed, trying to keep an arm wrapped around his lower body but also wriggle into a sitting position. The accent was Southern, thickly so once he had begun talking more, but this surprised him, because there were no memories. Small feelings of humid heat and ice cubes clinking in a sweating glass, and the rhythmic buzz of cicadas and someone screaming after him as his legs pumped harder and faster as he ran away, but even the name was fogged and blurred. There was an emptiness where there should have been a fully stocked life, like a shop with empty shelves and only the dusty circles to show that there had once been anything present.

Felix obliged immediately, helping the man - decidedly an American - struggle out of the soaking jumper. He tossed it to the side ( remembering to rifle through it later for the man’s personal effects ) and jogged to the kitchen. His saddle shoes clicked on the old hardwood and he slid a bit as he skidded to a halt in front of the clear medicine cabinet. Roughly, he fiddled with the glass bottles, trying to be as quick as he could. Felix pulled out a half empty bottle of morphine, a sedative, and cold medicine. He left them on the kitchen counter and returned to the injured man’s side. 

“There is a bedroom down hall,” he gestured. “You can rest there. Are you fit to walk, Herr?” Felix prayed that the man avoided any head or spine injuries. If he was well enough to move on his own, however, the lighthouse keeper was confident that he was okay on that front.

Relief causes the held breath trapped in his chest to relax. He was ready to arm wrestle the underclassman, trying to convince him that his business with the Spider-Man was serious. Felix had stayed up the night before working on American threats he could deliver should Peter offer resistance. This is ideal, though. 

“I cannot,” Felix shakes his head. “It’s...bigger than this.” The junior gestured to the hallway, to the school, to his little life in New York, thousands of miles away from home. “There’s a park in Queens - Cunningham Park. I’ll meet him there at nine, when it closes. Don’t let me down, Parker.”

Felix looks over his shoulder, making sure the students filing into the classroom next to them aren’t lingering. They don’t, and the last bell for fourth period rings without fanfare. Besides the fanfare that is the bell. But whatever. “I need to get in contact,” he says, thick accent lining his whisper. “It’s serious business, Peter. I cannot explain it to you, it just...needs to happen.” From what the part-time translator had gathered from the Embassy, Victor Von Doom would be arriving in New York within the next few days...unannounced. Granted, the foreign dignitary's arrival was not overly-suspicious, it warranted close scrutiny from the translator. His jurisdiction within the Embassy is limited, and so he decided to enlist the powers of the friendly, neighbourhood, Spider-Man.
