He sniffled, stepping back and trying to make himself appear smaller.

Aw, he looks like he’s going to cry. His eyes watered, his bottom lip stuck out in a pout, and he looked ready to start bawling. You hurt his feelings, Angel.

Light sniffles, tears dripping down his cheeks.

Light bows quickly, his whole face red. He had just bumped into a girl! Who knew someone could reduce someone as powerful as him into a blushing, stuttery mess. He even had tears in his eyes.

❛ ... Ah, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to bump into you, ma’am... Are you alright? ❜
He bows apologetically before straightening up. He looks a little nervous though, trembling in his spot. He was afraid she might hear his armor rattling with how much he was shaking. Who’d think an entity like him would be so scared of someone completely normal? Or at least... normal by his standards.
❛ I like how you think. I hear there’s lots of less than desirable things happening there. Sounds like a plan. ❜ He smirked, then focused back on the portal. Eyes glowing a dark red, it seemed to come even more alive, tendrils reaching out for the twins to take them to the desired location.
Dark felt more alive than he had in ages. Payback, dear brother. This is for all the shit that you have cau- sed me to endure, he thought to himself. Times like these when he had corrupted the other were at the height of his skills. It takes a lot to snuff out the Light and create a mixture of the two.
Revenge for that time stuck in his own hell. He hoped his brother was pained inside. Screaming for release of the other control, begging for it to stop. He hoped that he was sufficiently getting upset and pained by this.

His body moved against his will. He tried to scream, to resist. His movements slowed, and he began to clutch his head, squeezing his eyes shut. He shuddered, his grin turning into an annoyed scowl. This unrelenting voice was really starting to get on his nerves. As his anger increased, so did his temperature. His breathing was starting to pick up, the world growing hazy.
❛ Brother... Can’t you do something about this annoying voice in my head? ❜
❛ Well then Lucian! ❜ Dark suddenly boomed, looking up at his sibling with a wide grin, his red eyes glowing. Dark was always one to please this version of his brother. Chuckling, dark tendrils began to grow from his hand, wrapping around the two as it enveloped a wall in complete darkness, tendrils of sha- dows and shades reaching out, creating a vortex.
❛ I say it is time that we go have fun then, wouldn’t you? After all, what kind of brother would I be to not have some adve- ntures. Where should we go? The Underground in London, the crook infested streets of New York. Gangs and Wars and Crimes and Deaths. All the fun to be had no matter where we go! ❜ He laughed, all the possibilities getting in his head, causing him to be- come more and more corrupted himself. The deeper down the rabbit hole of insanity and chaos he fell, glad not to any longer be held back by that whom he considered an annoying brother.
❛ Hmm... How about New York? ❜
A sickening grin came to his face, and his mind was screaming. How dare his brother turn him into a monster again?! He felt so powerless... He could only hope someone came to help him.
Hotter and hotter. It was almost unbearable with the summer heat as well. He wanted to cry, to scream and stop them, but he went unheard.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.
❛ Of course we can! What else would we do? I’ve been gone so long and you’ve been left alone, we have a lot to cat- ch up on. But I haven’t the slightest on what to do here. ❜

Light frowns, leaning back so his feet leave the ground and he’s floating. he closes his eyes.

❛ Indeed it has. It was a shame that we have been separated for so long. You’ve been a good sibling, haven’t you? You haven’t messed with any of my toys, right? I would hate to have to break something of yours just cause you broke something of mine. ❜

Light grins, tilting his head a bit. His head was pounding, his mind was screaming, but his body rebelled, as if it had a mind of his own.

Done, finally. When Darkness called his twin a playmate that was no exaggeration. He was a toy to the other, a play thing. Something to see how many ways he could break the other and twist him into being someone quite different. The shadows retracted from the elder’s hands, allowing his brother to be released from his confines of nothingness. My, this time had be- en quite the difficult venture.
Maybe he was losing his touch.
The room was dark, and Dark chuckled, the shadow casting over his face masking all but his grin. A tilt of the head, he looked at the other, a childishly playful tone und- erline with a very sinister meaning came from his mouth.
❛ Light? Light, do tell me that wasn’t all for naught. I miss my friend, brother. ❜
❛ Hah... ❜
Light had buried his face in his hands. He felt hot-- his body was too hot underneath his armor. When Darkness spoke, he lifted his head from his hands, piercing red eyes focusing on his brother. His mouth curled into a slight grin.
❛ Hah... Hahahah! It’s... been so long, hasn’t it, brother...?~❜

❛ Who said I cared, Light? I only asked why you flinched. ❜ He chuckled darkly, grinning at his counterpart. Oh, if he had a secret to hide he was going to learn it. ❛ Do you have a secret to hide, dear brother of mine? ❜
❛ Maybe I do, maybe I don’t. I’m not going to tell you. You don’t care, so it doesn’t matter. ❜
Light turns away, crossing his arms. He’s going to be stubborn. They were dark memories that he did not like to talk about. He scowls, floating away from his brother.
❛ I want you to tell me what that was about? ❛ As chaotic as Dark was, he paid attention very well. Seeing his brother flinch that caused him to get curious, looking at the other with a hint of concern that would never be voiced but shown through his eyes.
❛ It’s nothing. Don’t worry about it. ❜
Light sighs, leaning back more and drawing his legs up, laying in the air.
❛ Why would you care, anyways? ❜
❛ …. You’re more boring than I remember. ❜ He groaned, flipping in the air until he was standing right again. Looking at the other rather bored, he huffed, red eyes analyzing him. This was terrible. He was hoping for some fun upon his return. Not this childish sibling banter.
❛ Well, I consider you my playmate, then again, one as serious as you does not take this existence so jovially do you? Always acting calm and caring, all you are is what you wish me to be. Serious and focused within the minor details. You’re boring. ❜ He groaned, rolling his eyes.
❛ No, there is nothing to do now that I have come. Truly the plan had almost worked. I am impressed, if I shall compliment you this once. That’s no way to treat your brother, however. And my definition of fun is what you call chaos, yes? Because you do not know how to let existence go as it should be. You care for thi- ngs that are trivial and won’t last. ❜
❛ ... Well, I’m sorry I don’t enjoy violence. What exactly did you want to do, anyways? ❜
Light sighed, leaning back and running both his hands through his white hair, closing his eyes. Though, when he did, old memories flashed though his head, causing him to gasp and flinch, opening his eyes quickly again.
He stepped out of the shadows, chuckling playfully as he childishly walked over to his twin. Oh, how he despised the other, but he was so fun to mess with. A grin spreading on his face, he lea- ned in close to his brothers face, tilting his head to the side slightly.
❛ Brought it upon myself? What, you believed our reality to be fun? Perhaps in it’s final moments, but nothing more. It was fun tearing apart all you and the trio of imbeciles we call friends built. ❜ He laughed, floating back in the air as if he were floating in a pool.
❛ So. Now that I’m here, what are you going to do? You know one of us can’t exist without the other. Would you rather fight and destroy a town? I miss our games Light. Come now, at least you have your old playmate back. ❜

❛ We can’t exist without the other. You’re not my playmate. I simply tolerate you because I have to, got it? Your definition of fun and my definition of fun are two very different definitions. ❜

❛ Oh come now, brother. You don’t think that little stunt locked me up for good? ❜ His voice spoke from the shadows, a dark corner that seemed to ooze with malevolence. The shadows soon turned into whisps and strings of black, forming together to create a shadow form of Darkness. He was back. He had just recently been unlocked; set free upon this dreary world.
❛ Or did you think I would just overlook this betrayal. You know you’ve been a slimy bastard over the eons, but this has been your worse trick yet. So, did you miss me, Light? ❜
❛ I wish I could say I missed you, but I’m not exactly one to lie, brother. ❜
His tone is cold, dripping with venom. It was much unlike his friendly, gentle tone he usually used. But this was his brother; he was different. His twin was much... darker, for lack of a better word. Evil. He was everything that Light was not.
Cruel. Malicious. Violent. Dangerous.
