There are about 50,000 indigenous Himba (singular: OmuHimba, plural: OvaHimba) people living on both sides of the Kunene River: in the Kunene region (formerly Kaokoland) of northern Namibia and in Angola.

Young men of the tribe are in their late-twenties, early-thirties before getting married, but young women are married off at puberty, and start having children very young.

Embera indians live in remote province of Panama called Darien. It is here where the Transamerican highway has a few houndred km gap. The people here paints traditional signs on their skin with a fruit juice caled "kipara". Paintings stay on their skin for over a week. Little villages are surrounded by dense joungle cut neetly by the web of rivers. They feed themselfs by coultivating rice, platanos and yuca, also by fishing.

They are one of the nicest people Ive ever met in my life

On the banks of the Kunene River in Namibia, two young Himba men were acting as photographic models - working in the afternoon heat under soft-boxes and off-camera flashes.

We know this young man is unmarried by his hairstyle: a single braided plait sculpted to the back of his head.
