He huffed at that and looked away. âNot lost. Besides. What are you doing here then? Stealing more wallets or trying to find something else to eat?â Maybe he was being salty. Nah, he was kind of being salty.
âhm? oh, are you stilled annoyed about that?â the blond tilted his head slightly, and offered a small chuckle. âI can pay you back, I took your wallet that time to see what the Prince would do,â he shrugged, âBut seriously, are you lost?â
I would say Iâm sorry but Iâm not
@sciatth
âOsiris-- look, look!â excitment and pride in his voice. The lesser looked rather pleased with themselves, another glance at the mirror, before he turned to face him. âIâve never done this color before, itâs always been blond or brown-- sometimes black.â Iapetus chuckled, arms stretched as if to see how this shape functioned-- if it suited him or not. But what did he really look like anyway?Â
He spun around, hands carded through his smooth hair, without the soft waves like before, or the bedhead when blond. âwhat do you think? this-- is the first time youâve seen me shift, right?â
ultimabladed·:
âFlattery wonât get you anywhere. Kind of a stray cat, first time I met you, you were stealing my wallet from me. Makes you a stray something.â
âI donât know, seems to be working in my favor,â he quipped. Iapetus snorted at the comparison, and the fact the other had agreed. âOr something. So, your highness, why are you wandering this side of the area? Lost?
You Are An Emotionally Volatile Nightmare
Your heart guides you and sometimes that's not as dreamy or romantic as it might sound. It's true that your feelings often inspire you to heal and create, and as long as those feelings don't steer you wrong, you're capable of truly visionary accomplishments in the name of empathy and love.
Feelings, though, aren't always gentle and sweet. You know that better than anyone, because your own emotions - the same overwhelming forces that inspire you to make the world a better place - can take you to very dark places, especially if you believe that the subject of your ire has shown unwarranted cruelty toward you or something you hold dear. You know that your feelings aren't necessarily rational, but that doesn't stop you from dramatically blaming other people for causing you pain. Of course, you might not even stop at crying; that notoriously brilliant creativity might even spur you to express your wrath artistically - nothing says âemotional stabilityâ like a morose, vengeful poem.
Be Your Worst Self
itâs not completely wrong, less poetry and more physicalÂ

â...?â suddenly earmuffs? what the heck. âwhy are you humans so strange? i thought you were against cannibalism?â
stares. âwhat is happening?â
â Â SENSE.
kinda creepy/weird dialogue iâve caught wind of in town, vaguely in order of sense
âLook me in the eyes and say that again.â
âStop looking at me with your eyes!â
âLook down, they can see the fear in your eyes.â
âStop looking at me like that, youâre freaking me out.â
âIf I canât see it then itâs not there.â
âI swear I saw something.â
âI saw it! In the woods!â
âYou shouldnât look that way.â
âI think I heard something.â
âWoah, did you just hear that?â
âI heard it. We all heard it, right?â
âI heard it, like it was speaking in the back of my mind.â
âIt said my name.â
âI want to hear it again, but Iâm scared.â
âWill you listen with me?â
âIt was too loud. So I made it stop.â
âBe quiet, theyâll hear you.â
âThis tastes like battery acid.â
âHow do you know what that tastes like?â
âThatâs antifreeze. It tastes like soda.â
âPlease tell me you did not eat/drink that.â
âYou ate a bug?â
âSorry, it tasted good.â
âIf itâs any consolation, I think it was poisoned, anyway.â
âIt tastes how it smells.â
âI think thereâs a gas leak.â
âI know itâs bad, but it smells good.â
âEveryoneâs got a distinctive smell.â
âI think my sense of smell is gone.â
âYou can smell that?â
âI canât feel my fingers.âÂ
âI woke up, and my arm flopped over like a ragdoll.â
âStop, that hurts!â
âDid you feel that?â
âI feel like my brain is melting out of my skull.â
âI think Iâm bleeding⊠oh shit.â
âHow hard did you hit your head?â
âI feel like a statue.â
âI just feel ⊠cold.â

He snorted, a daemon? Him? That might as well been an insult! Iapetus pulled himself up further from the water. His body larger than it originally appeared, his tail remained partially submerged. âI am not a daemon,â he offered a grin, showed off his sharp teeth. âDoesnât mean Iâd be against eating you,â was the tease. Iapetus settled comfortably back down, the amused look remained, and chuckled. âFor a Prince, youâve got shitty manners... and you look like a dork in that getup.â
sciatth·:
â Working things out is never easy, but itâs something we have to do at some point in our lives. Whether we go kicking and screaming or whatever, its a hurdle we have to get over in our lives. As for my brother, heâs a lot different than me. Serious about his work and never has time for other things, let alone family and yes I do know the current oracle going around at the moment. â
Osiris stopped after that, noticing how it made the lesser slightly uncomfortable talking about affairs he wasnât apart of. A small frown spread across his face before clearing his throat slightly.
â Sure, I would be more then happy to bring them down for you to see. Sith might be a bit excited to see a new person while Miya would just stay near my side. Sheâs pretty picky with who she lets pet her. â
âI donât understand why--â he stressed the word, in his mind, it his thoughts, they hardly connected. True, he held love and loyalty to his âmotherâsâ memory. But outside of that, he lacked comprehension. And the confusion showed upon his youthful face. âIs it because youâre family that you have the obligation to fix whatever rifts might be between each other?â Iapetus disliked that he sounded like a lost child, he was an Astral! ... a Lesser one, but still! And here he was with such simple questions.
âAre they... interesting? The Oracle? Iâve only heard rumors, guess Iâm curious of who was chosen.â
He huffed, leaned against his chair, caused it to tilt back.Â
âActually I--â bit his lower lip, eyes remained upwards, hid the light awkward expression on his face. â...I was wondering if I could visit. For once.â
âYour stance is all wrong.â
He never had a true reason for the weapons carried attached to the sides of his hips. Short swords that Iapetus utilized decently enough to leave damage, but more often he relied on his magic and his own unique attributes. Out of curiosity, he asked with a snicker if Osiris could teach him something, how to properly handle a sword. It was meant as a joke, yet here he found himself with an unfamiliar weapon.Â
Physically, Iapetus was not weak, stronger than humans, but he held it wrong and apparently couldnât figure out how to stand properly. He let out a frustrated sigh, and hit the ground with the sword he had been offered to practice with. How could he be wrong? He followed the otherâs instructions, so clearly there had to be a mistake! âWhy do I even need to do this? I can just bite their faces off and call it a day.âÂ
Huffed, stuck out his tongue in a childish manner, âI can just use my magicâ maybe Iâm just not cut out for the whole sword thing,â he murmured with a sigh.

The struggles had been there with the Deamons and Niflheim since the attack that took Noctisâ home and family away from him. Noctis couldnât just sit there and let people suffer from the destruction that loomed over their heads. He was determined to take back the throne that belonged to his family, one that he wasnât going to leave to suffer under the control of the Nifs. Anger was there, but he couldnât let it control him since it wouldnât help with what needed to be done to stop everything that was happening.Â
Noctis gave a light chuckle âThatâs normal for them, theyâve always been like that. Iâve gotten used to their protectiveness over the years, I donât think that is going to be changing anytime soon.â Moving to recast the line, he nodded âYou never know until you try, not that I would want to babysit myself.âÂ
The chance for a normal feeling was something that Noctis tried at any chance to get, he was grateful for the chance to have his own apartment and to go to school like a normal person would. Fishing was another thing that gave him a sense of normalcy and a way to pass time âSure, I need to catch a few more to bring back to camp.âÂ
Iapetus had yet to figure out if he cared or not, he supposed as part of him did. This affected Eos, and Eos was home-- as long as he was physically there anyway. âProbably not, guess thatâs what happens when someone cares about you,â he wanted to say that it sounded troublesome. A form of suffocation. Those thoughts were likely attributed to his lacks of social interaction in the last hundred years or so. His âmotherâ was never that protective of him, but Iapetus could fend for himself if needed. She mostly focused on other things.
âWell, itâs like babysitting a cat, your highness,â he smirked, before he shrugged off his jacket, âLetâs see who catches the most then,â the Lesser smirked, and slipped away into the water with hardly a splash. Oh yes, it might be cheating on his part, but it just came naturally. Canât fault him for what was natural. He tossed his pants up too, although they were soaked.
He swam in the small lake-- chased a couple of fishes, grabbed one-- paused. And literally tossed it out of the water, no warning given, at all.

Well, this was particular, he found a necklace lying on the streets of Altissia, it looked quite expensive with a gem attached. The gem in question looked as if some sort of powerful magic was floating within it, holding it up to the sun, Ardyn examined the gem, sparkling as if it just wasnât on the dirty groundâ he could feel something off of it, something empowering him. Whoever lost this must be a right sorry individual at the moment, it really was unique, and well, Ardyn had no intentions taking it to any lost and foundâ he wouldnât even need to as the individual in question tracked him down. Requesting that he could have his necklace returned, Ardyn didnât even really turn, he pretended to not hear the other, allowing his concerns to fall upon deaf ears.
Once more, the boy spoke, trying to draw Ardynâs attention to himself, and this time, Ardyn would look round at him, then at the necklace again, then back at him.
âOh, is this yours?â He came slightly closer to the boy, a tight hold of the necklace within his hand, he looked down at him, âHave you never⊠I donât know, heard of the term finders keepers?â A smirk lit up his face as he pocketed the necklace, putting it out of sight⊠and out of the boyâs reach unless he wanted to be called for harassing a stranger in public for it. Ardyn just stood there, eyeing the boy, waiting on what kind of response he might have received from himâ it wonât be a happy one, he knew that for sure.
He had lived long enough to understand when a situation wasnât led to the out come he yearned. Not for the first time. Iapetus silently scolded himself, the circumstance he found himself in was done by his own hands. His carelessness came back, ten fold, and had itâs nasty teeth in him. Blue eyes watched the otherâs movement, eyes fixated on his gem-- till it vanished inside a pocket.
Iapetus grew tense, something was... off, but he pushed this aside. Too centered on his problem for anything else to be considered.Â
It was brief, how brightly his eyes glittered, similar to the now captured gem, a sense of malice sparked inside. But he can NOT act on it. The gem, his gem, his everything, was now held within this strangerâs grasp. And by all intents, this man, became his owner-- and in turn Iapetusâ hands were tied down. He could not act against him, not physically, but with his voice. Perhaps a chance existed.
âI donât think you realize what that is, please, I need it back-- itâs very important to me.â Those were the words that might had left his lips, but his panic produced something else. âReturn it to me-- you have no idea what that is!â the words came out distorted, and musical. A pinch of anger. The runes on his neck glowed a soft hue, mostly covered by his scarf. There was no guarantee it would work. Heâs never... heâs never been in a situation like this before!Â
sciatth·:
Osiris leaned back in his chair for a minute, messing with his armor for a bit before looking back up at Iapetus.
â Yes I do, I work for Somnus who is my friend. Heâs trying his best to work things out with Ardyn gone and healing those with the scourge. My eldest brother is guarding him at the moment. â
The shield smiled when the lesser compliment on the cookies and how good they were.
â I do have animals, I have a dog and a cat that live with me and keep me company when Iâm by myself. â
He settled down in a chair, finally, listened as the other explained. Iapetus didnât know that much, but knew enough.Â
âWork things out... is it ever that easy?â he mused, âSometimes family just doesnât get along, for good reasons I guess, or not-- I wouldnât know.â Iapetus played with his necklace as he finished the sweets. âYou have an older brother, huh? Whatâs he like? Does this mean you know the current Oracle too?â
Suddenly, Iapetus became aware of how many questions he asked, and often said he didnât care for the affairs of Eos. Clenched his gem tightly, before he let go.Â
â...could I see them? I-- the only animals Iâve interacted with recently are the daemons. I guess theyâre fine for a good fight, or regular wildlife.â He looked nonchalant, but he had a spark in his eyes. Yup. He really did want to see them.
sciatth·:
Well that was obvious, with how dirty and dusty the house was it was a clue as to the fact that the lesser did not stay in this area too much. Still, the kind gesture was nice,
â Mineâs no better, I stay in the palace most of the time if only for the fact that his majesty wishes me to be as close as possible. My animals make some days a hassle to clean up. â
He joked, leaning on the table slightly,
â Oh dig in, I made them for you after all as a small gift. â
âHe had it out of habit. Despite his self isolation, Iapetus found himself outside more often than not, as he wandered in search of-- something. Unsure of it himself, perhaps heâll know once it was found. Til then, he remained restless. At least, he was approachable, when compared to before.Â
âMom would totally scold me,â he uttered with a slight smile. âThe palace?â it was probably explained at some point, but he most likely zoned out. âYou work for that King? Of Insomnia?â
He happily reached for a few cookies, ate away at them, his eyes grew wide and smile.Â
âItâs really good---!â Paused, he cookieâs edge against his lip. âWait, animals?â
ultimabladed·:
âYouâre rude. Even got you something to eat.â Noctis pulled on the branch again, sneering softly. âWhat view? See something you like?â
He hummed, shrugged his shoulders, âDid you take me for a stray cat? I never said I was nice.â His smirk deepened, âLooking at it.â
