Okay so I'm actually surprised you can't wait for my story, haha
Well, it's not like I'm going to be active here like I used to, but after going to the premiere of episode 9 in the cinema I felt a huge inspiration to write a Bunnydoll fic based on it. Not a retelling, but my own interpretation/adaptation of one of the plotlines in a different universe
Unfortunately, it won't be a happy story featuring Jax and Ragatha being lovey dovey with each other
It will be brutal.
And scary.
Totally not something you should romanticize.
As you can tell I love Bunnydoll but I also like to write them as toxic as possible, just like in my one shot 'The Abuse'
Also no details on the story before the youtube release of the episode to keep it spoiler-free!
Hello, just wanted to say that the 6th episode was a MASTERPIECE. I watched it with my friend and we both had so much fun. It literally had everything it should have, especially since I said once I would like funnybunny to have a relationship like from the fan song "Funny Things" and it surprisingly came true. I also loved every bunnydoll scene and oh boy the way I relate to Ragatha in her scene with Kinger when she's just nodding or shaking her head, trying not to cry, is just too much for me. Anyway here's my new laptop wallpaper lol
And wow, it's actually been one year since I created this account! Unfortunately, every journey must come to an end. I'm no longer as interested in TADC as I used to be. I was still hyped for the fifth episode, but after watching it, I felt pretty disappointed. I don't know why.
So, yeah, I've been thinking about this blog for months, wondering what to do, and I've finally come up with the right solution.
I'm cancelling my AU and abandoning this account for good.
I'm extremely grateful for your support, though! "Who were we before we met (again) in the Digital Circus?" was actually the first fanfiction I ever finished writing. It may not be my best, but I still read it from time to time and don't have any complaints.
I'll continue watching TADC and shipping Bunnydoll, but now I'm more into other fandoms. Maybe one day I'll write a new Bunnydoll one shot. Who knows? For now, though, I want to focus on other things.
All of my posts will be set to private since I want this blog to be clean.
Once again, thank you for your support, I was honored to be a part of this amazing community <333
As for the angst it's probably half of the chapters of my main fic, the abuse and prwtsd one shots and that one thing I wrote about bunnydoll kids not existing in the real world
And the fluff is of course all the stories with my kiddos
Fun fact: I hate reading angst but I love writing it
No need to worry when you have someone who cares about you
My Secret Santa gift one-shot for @michiruxbna! I hope you'll like it <3
Finally, the day came when Caine snapped and decided to make his new adventure adult only, no rabbit rag doll kids allowed. And since Jeager was the oldest of the four, all the responsibility fell on his shoulders.
Ragatha was the only circus member that Ethan became a cuddly bunny next to. With the others, well, it was a different story. Jeager happened to be the main target of his younger brother, along with Ellie and Pomni. Testing his patience was one of Ethan’s favorite things to do when he was bored, and he couldn’t wait for the day when Jeager would yell at him like their mom yelled at their dad.
Before everyone entered the portal to another dimension, Ragatha looked at her children one last time. Owyn sat in the corner, reading a book Gangle had lent him. Ethan was missing, probably getting ready for another prank. And there was Jeager, standing right in front of the portal with Ellie hiding behind his back. Neither of them liked it much when their parents left them with twins, even if they didn’t do much harm. It was just a matter of the closeness they shared. Jeager took care of his sister a lot when she was a baby, so she grew more attached to him than to Owyn and Ethan. The age difference between them and their older brother was small compared to that of Ellie, but it was more than obvious who was the most mature of the bunch.
“Can you promise me that you will take good care of your siblings?” Ragatha asked Jeager, her digital heart filled with worry. She knew her boys were in their teens, but sometimes she still treated them as if they were her little babies.
Jeager nodded his head. “Of course, Mom. I’ll try my best.”
“Just…” The rag doll started to look around nervously as if searching for someone. “Make sure Ethan and Ellie don’t go at each other again. And call Caine if you need help, but ONLY if the circus is on fire or some uninvited NPC eats one of you.”
“Oh, come on, they’ll be fine. It’s not like we're leaving them with Bubble or anything.” Jax put a hand on his wife’s shoulder. Just like her, he was worried about the safety of their children, but Jax being Jax, he would never admit it. “Right, Jello-Fello?”
“It’s Jeager, Dad…”
“I didn’t name you.” The rabbit shrugged, causing Ragatha to give him a death glare. Then she felt a tap on her shoulder.
“We have to go or Caine will send us to fast food again.” Zooble said, ‘excited’ as always for a new adventure. Jeager could swear he saw his mother’s non-button eye tear up, and he hated it when she cried.
The moment the portal disappeared, the oldest rag bunny let out a sigh. He glanced at Ellie, who was kicking a ball that was lying nearby. It was disturbingly peaceful and quiet for a place like Digital Circus. Jeager knew that Caine could show up at any moment, but usually he spent his free time in his office, creating maps and NPCs for future adventures, or taking Bubble to exclusive places like a spa, an elegant restaurant, or a tennis court.
This day… couldn’t be that bad. Jeager turned to his younger siblings to ask them what they would like to do together when suddenly a loud bang was heard. Ethan ran out of the bedroom area, panting and smiling at the same time.
“What’s up, bros? Having fun doing nothing? Cause I’m sure having fun after shooting that NPC Caine left for us in case Jeager couldn’t handle us.”
“Wait, where did you get a gun?”
“Found it in Dad’s drawer.”
“Seems legit.” Owyn spoke up, his eyes never leaving the pages of the book. It was fascinating how these four were siblings and yet so different. Jaeger turned his attention back to Ellie.
“So, what do you want to do today?”
“A terribly ugly dress for Ethan.” The youngest exclaimed, a mischievous grin on her face. Taking more after Ragatha, Ellie was the sweetest child and Jeager’s personal favorite. They often plotted revenge on the older twin for his pranks and prepared tea parties for all the circus members, including Caine and Bubble.
But even if Jeager didn’t feel alone, and had loving people around him, there was one thought that bothered him a lot.
As brother and sister walked through the halls of Digital Circus, Jeager could feel the nagging uneasiness. All the rooms around him belonged to real human beings, six of whom still lived there, and two of whom were none other than his own parents.
Caine still had trouble figuring out exactly what Jax and Ragatha’s children were. Before Jeager was born, pregnancy was a thing that never happened in the circus. Especially when it came to the humans trapped there. The rag bunnies weren’t exactly NPCs, but they certainly weren’t humans.
Usually, Jeager didn’t even try to think about more serious things, he reacted to every bizarre adventure in a non-dramatic way, having fun and trying to convince the others that it wasn’t so bad. However, like any other teenager, his mentality changed over the years. The twins and Ellie weren’t mature enough to understand some things, but Jeager… he was worried. Worried about what would happen if one day Caine decided to let them all out of the circus. What if he walked through the exit door and appeared in the real world as a completely different person? Or maybe he couldn’t, since he was born in the digital world and had to stay there forever?
Or…
What if he magically disappeared because he simply didn’t exist?
Ragatha often made sure her children were loved equally, giving them everything they needed and wanted, even if she wasn’t sure they were real. Honestly, they couldn’t ask for a better mother. While Jax often got his name wrong and thought he was the same age as the twins, Ragatha styled Jeager’s hair, mended holes in his clothes, helped him with personal problems, and gave him hugs and kisses whenever he needed them.
But that didn’t change the fact that Jeager felt insecure about his own identity.
15 years earlier
An adorable laugh spread throughout the circus as two-year-old rag bunny tickled the tummies of his two newborn brothers. He was fascinated to see such creatures lying on a soft blanket, wearing green onesies. And hearing their squeaky laughter was like music to his bunny ears.
“They’ll have hiccups if you keep tickling them, sweetheart.” Ragatha took Jeager in her arms and gently pressed her lips to his forehead. “I know they’re cute, but they’re living beings, just like you.”
“Mama! Gooo!” Jeager squirmed and tried to push his mother away by kicking her with his little legs. The rag doll just giggled and rubbed her son’s cheek in a soothing way.
“I know you want to be an independent little man, but I’m not letting you go anytime soon. You’ll always be Mama’s sweet baby, no matter how big you get.”
Ragatha stood up and waved to Pomni, who was standing nearby, to let her know that she would be leaving the twins with her for a while. Then she walked toward the exit of the tent, still holding Jeager carefully in her arms.
The baby rag bunny looked around, his curious eyes taking in the surroundings. Finally released from his mother’s embrace, he squealed as soon as his feet touched the surface of the cold Digital Lake. Ragatha grabbed both of his hands to make sure he didn’t run any further into the water and to acclimate him to the temperature of the lake. After a few seconds, Jeager jumped, making the water around him splash, which made him let out a loud laugh of joy. It was his first time doing such a fun activity and he couldn’t help but want more of it.
They stood like this for a few more minutes before Ragatha took a tired Jeager back into her arms. His pants were completely soaked, and the cool wind mixed with the water made his legs frosty. After entering the tent, the rag doll went straight to the bedroom area and then to Jeager’s room. It was filled with toys appropriate for a child of his age and some additional supplies. Ragatha took off his pants and replaced them with dry ones. A yawn escaped the boy’s mouth, and after he was placed in his bed, he closed his sleepy eyes.
“Sleep well, sweetheart.” She kissed him on the forehead for the last time, turned off the light, and left the room.
Jeager couldn’t be more happier.
“Hey Jeager, are you okay?” Ellie tugged on her older brother’s shirt. “You’ve been looking at the wall for a few minutes now, you know?”
Jeager shook his head and snapped out of his trance. He didn’t even notice that they were already in Ellie’s room and that she was preparing needles, thread, and various fabrics. His confusion lasted a few more seconds before he picked up the pin box and smiled mischievously.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Let’s make this the worst dress in the entire digital world.”
In the end, what mattered most was that he had a loving family here and now.
Thanks for reading!
(I made Jeager insecure about his own identity because he's the oldest and has a different mentality than the rest of the kids, I hope you like my interpretation of him :))
Digital drawing of Owyin and Ethan if you are up to👉👈 I do think you improved love A LOT at art and I would like to have their reference so I can make fanarts🩵💙✨️
Again only if you are up to it. Luv you
Thank you so much for your kind words, to be honest I didn't expect to improve in such short time, especially in digital art 😅
As for my babies, I'll draw them sometime soon and make some changes in their designs, but as for now I'm a bit busy and my mood is also not the best, so it'll probably take me more time to draw them
Hey Livi! Now we know more about Ethan's reaction and insecurities when Ellie was born. And it got me curious to hiw he felt when more siblings arrived hehe
Tight hugs for you
Hi Alice!
Oh well, that boy doesn't want to be responsible at all lol
He probably got into a fight with his parents because he couldn't understand why they would like to have more kids + they told him he has to help them with every new sibling as he's one of the older kids
During the first few times he felt similar to when Ellie was born, worried that no one would pay attention to him, but now as a teenager he's more like "nah, I don't care about the others, I'mma go kick the baby" lol
He's a cuddly bunny only when it comes to Ragatha and after a long time he finally tries to be a better older brother, but only to not let his mama down (that doesn't mean he doesn't have favorite siblings, he is quite fond of these who are similar to him aka taking more after Jax + Owyn, since he's his twin)
Ethan had had enough. Ever since his and Owyn’s younger sister had been born, it seemed that everyone in the circus had forgotten about him. He knew little Arabella had serious health problems and had to stay under their parents’ observation most of the time, but that didn’t mean the twins weren’t important.
The younger rag bunny threw another rock into the Digital Lake. His brother was probably looking for bugs with Kinger since he was the chess piece’s favorite ‘grandchild’. In fact, no one liked Ethan except Mom, Dad, and Owyn. He was always fooling around, destroying the props on adventures, and was locked in his room by Caine a few times. Sometimes he even thought that Ragatha only loved him because he was her child, when in reality she was deeply disappointed by his behavior.
A single tear fell from his eye. He was just a kid.
“You okay, kiddo?”
Ethan wiped away the tear and turned to face his father. Jax had his hands in the pockets of his overalls and a look of exhaustion on his face. He had been sitting with Ellie for the last two hours, occasionally rubbing her tiny head to soothe her.
“How’s Mama doing?”
“Still needs some time to recover.” Jax sighed. He hated to admit that watching over their newborn was quite a challenge for him, especially since Ellie’s condition was still a mystery for Caine to solve. Ragatha was not feeling any better. She hadn’t gotten out of bed since the birth, needing a lot of rest. All the circus members were required to help with the fussy rag bunny, who was still uncomfortable with a button in place of her left eye. Even though she was only a digital being, the pain she felt was strangely as real as possible.
There was a moment of silence between father and son before Ethan decided to say what was on his mind. He was stubborn and grumpy, definitely taking more after Jax. But like any other kid, his mentality was fragile.
“Why no one loves me?”
Jax’s eyes widen. He had softened a lot over the years, but only when it came to Ragatha and their children. To hear his own son ask him the same question he had asked himself when he was much younger was something he hadn’t expected at all. Did this mean that he had failed as a father?
He was no saint, that was more than obvious. But on the day the twins were born, he promised himself that he would not be like his own parents. Yes, from time to time he called them little [BEEP]s, however, that was just his way of showing affection.
“What the- what are you talking about?” Jax tried to keep the tone of his voice stern, but the slight tremble was definitely there. “Stop talking nonsense, kiddo. Mom loves you, Owyn loves you, and I love you. Hell, even Kinger loves you! And don’t think otherwise.”
“But Uncle Caine locks me in my room and won’t let me play with the others.”
“Because you’re annoying him.”
“Annoying him is fun.” Ethan pouted, his short leg kicking a larger rock. How could something that was supposed to be a mix of both Jax and Ragatha turn out to be almost an exact copy of his father? “You annoy him too.”
Damn, this kid was too smart for his own good. Jax wanted to say something, but he knew he should refrain from some words. Instead, he just crouched down and put both of his hands on Ethan’s shoulders.
“Listen, Ethan. I’m not good at this whole dad talk, but let me tell you something.” He took a deep breath before continuing. “It’s not the number of people that matters most when it comes to loving someone, as long as their love is genuine. I remember your mother crying with happiness when she saw the two of you for the first time. But you were annoyingly noisy compared to Owyn, I almost grabbed you by the onesie and threw you in the Digital Lake.”
The rag bunny let out a giggle, his father’s words immediately making him feel a little better. Seeing the change in mood, Jax smiled under his breath but didn’t stop his monologue.
“Then you became extremely clingy and wouldn’t let Mom leave you in someone else’s arms, even for a while. She gave you lots of hugs and kisses, even more than she gave me! So if you think she doesn’t love you, then I’m sorry, buddy, but you’re so wrong.”
“She loves me even when I cause too much chaos?”
“Ethan, [BEEP], she would give her life for you, Owyn, and Ellie. Causing chaos doesn’t mean you don’t deserve her love, and I know that from experience.”
Without saying anything, Ethan snuggled into Jax’s soft fur. Comfort from his dad was all he needed right now and he was more than happy to get it. Even though he knew full well that it was Ragatha's words that Jax quoted regarding love.
Still, it was enough to make him believe he was truly loved.
“You know your old man used to steal my centipedes?” Kinger handed Owyn a butterfly net, ready for another bug hunt. “But I found them all, thanks to your mama! Weird, right?”
“Mama doesn’t like centipedes.” The oldest rag bunny spun around with the net, which was bigger than he was. It was fascinating that he was interested in bugs at such a young age, unlike Ethan.
Both twins were going through a hard time, they hadn’t even had a chance to get to know their younger sister properly. Not to mention that they had barely seen their mother in the last few weeks. Owyn, being the calmer one, handled the situation better and tried to spend as much time with Ethan as possible. Their behavior was different, but there were still twins who cared so much for each other. The moment Owyn saw his brother enter the main area, he immediately ran up to him.
“Ethan! Do you want to catch butterflies with us?”
“Huh? Oh, not really.”
“Actually.” Jax suddenly came up behind them, causing the younger twin to jump. He grinned and then put his hands on the boys’ shoulders. “How about we go see how Mama and Ellie are doing?”
“We can?!” The twins shouted in unison.
“Only if you don’t tell anyone.”
Jax and Ragatha’s shared bedroom was larger than the rest as it was created by erasing the wall between their separate rooms. It was pure coincidence that they were next to each other. Before the twins arrived, Caine made a few changes, like adding a double bed and some baby supplies.
At that moment, Ragatha was lying on the bed with baby Ellie nestled against her chest. After a few hours of soothing the newborn, they finally managed to get her to sleep. Ragatha yawned, growing increasingly tired and desperate to rest as well. Just as she was about to close her non-button eye, the door opened and she soon felt two more rag bunnies clinging to her.
“Ah, hello my babies. I missed you so much.” Gently, she lifted a hand to stroke her sons’ heads. “Just remember to be quiet. We don’t want to wake your sister from her peaceful slumber.”
Ethan leaned out from behind Ragatha’s back and his eyes widened the moment he saw Ellie for the first time. She was tiny, her chest rising and falling slowly. The missing left eye didn't make her any uglier, honestly, the blue button added a certain charm to her already adorable appearance.
Jax lay down as well, admiring his daughter and especially his wife, who was more than close to dozing off. Owyn also changed position, squeezing in between his parents’ legs to make sure Ellie had plenty of space around her so as not to disturb her.
“Come here, buddy.” The rabbit pawed at the spot between him and Owyn. Ethan smiled and immediately hopped onto the mattress.
For the first time in his life, he actually felt loved.
That one time when Ragatha (surprisingly) got jealous
For day 1 of Bunnydoll Week 2024 - Jealousy
It was the day a new character arrived at the circus. And unfortunately for Ragatha, it was a strangely cute pinkish rabbit. Dressed in pastels and ribbons, Mary Sue was the prettiest figure in the entire Digital Circus. But it was not her looks that the rag doll was jealous of.
After combining everything they remembered from their past lives, a conclusion was formed that Jax had in fact dated Sue in high school. Usually, girls lose their feelings for their boyfriends after they haven’t seen them for a few years, but this particular case was different. After being reunited with the ‘love of her life’, Sue wanted to make sure their relationship was still possible, but even though she seemed sweet and innocent, she wouldn’t take no for an answer.
The problem was that recently Jax was currently dating Ragatha and there was no way he was going to break up with her.
Right?
The first adventure Caine prepared for Sue also worked to Ragatha’s disadvantage. It was to be a treasure hunt throughout the circus, including the bedrooms. The team was divided into pairs and one trio, which was Ragatha, Gangle, and Kinger. All groups had about thirty minutes to find all the items to get a grand prize, which surprisingly wasn’t a feast.
Terror washed over Ragatha as she remembered something Jax had left in her room the night before. The thought of someone finding it under her bed made her dizzy, as their relationship was still a secret she shared only with Pomni. Mostly so as not to scare Gangle and not to make Zooble think badly of the rag doll.
Once the details of the adventure were explained, Caine snapped his fingers, and random valuable items spawned in various locations. There was no map or clues as to where to find them, which was to be expected from the ringmaster. His adventures weren’t supposed to be easy after all.
As they wandered through the main area, Ragatha heard a giggle coming from another side of the circus and she could swear it was Sue. Unfortunately, she was paired with Jax and was probably trying to convince him that they should continue their relationship. And that made Ragatha’s non-existent blood boil.
In all the years she was trapped in the circus, Ragatha never felt jealous of anyone. She had her own opinions about each character, which differed slightly from what she said she thought about them. But no matter how bad or good they were, jealousy was something unknown to her.
Until now.
Even though Jax had promised Ragatha a thousand times that he had no interest in cheating on her, Sue's presence made her anxious. She glanced again in the direction the sound was coming from, but saw nothing. That didn’t help at all, as Ragatha felt her fists clenching.
She didn‘t care about the girls Jax was talking to because they were their friends. But this was his former girlfriend and that was a problem.
“Ragatha, are you okay? You’re shaking all over.”
“Huh?” The rag doll was pulled out of her thoughts by Gangle, who looked at her with a worried expression. “Oh! Yeah, I’m fine! No need to worry!”
“You always say that when something is wrong…”
Ragatha let out a deep sigh and moved her non-button eye to the ground. What was she supposed to say? ‘Oh, I’m just pissed off because this Mary Sue turned out to be Jax’s girlfriend from the real world, and by the way, me and Jax have been dating for quite some time’? No way.
Instead, she just kept walking until they reached the bedroom area. The first room they decided to check was Pomni’s, but Ragatha quickly ran to hers. She had to calm herself down before she flew into a rage, grabbed Sue by her bunny ears, and threw her out of the circus.
She sat on the bed and thought about what to do. What if Jax had already broken his promise and cheated on her? Ragatha felt her eye water. She had to find out. But before she could do anything, the door opened and none other than Jax entered the room. The first thing he noticed, of course, was the rag doll.
“Quitting the adventure? That’s not your style, Raggy.” He sat down next to her, expecting to hear some sort of complaint from her, but all he saw was her tears and trembling. The smile faded from Jax’s face. “Alright Dollface, what’s going on?”
“I… don’t like you hanging out with another girl, especially if she’s your ex…”
Jax’s eyes widen at those words. He had never seen Ragatha jealous before, so it took him by surprise. But it was a sight to behold.
“Awww, you poor little thing. Remember what I promised you? [BEEP], Sue doesn’t even have romantic feelings for me anymore, she just spends a lot of time with me just because she wants to be friends again.”
Ragatha looked at him as if he had just said that he had drowned Caine in the Digital Lake. She felt a huge embarrassment and hid her face in Jax’s chest. She hadn’t even had a chance to get to know Sue better and was already making assumptions based on her and the rabbit’s past relationship.
Jax put a hand behind her head and slowly ran his fingers through her yarn curls. He wasn’t angry with her for being jealous. In fact, he found it quite impressive.
Ragatha also had no idea that her boyfriend had noticed her strange behavior and the way she gave Sue a death stare. What a cutie.
"The polish version of Bunnydoll scene" investigation part 2! (half serious, half not lol)
"Ale chcę" means "but (I) want" and "ty lubił mnie" literally means "you like me". It's an obvious translation
But "I like you" can be also translated to "podobasz mi się". It's one of the synonyms for the default translation ("lubię cię") and it means that you're confessing your crush that you like them
It would be funnier if Ragatha said "Ty mi się nie podobasz. Ale chcę, abym ja podobała się tobie", which literally means "I don't like you in a romantic way. But I want you to like me that way", or eventually "I don't find you attractive. But I want you to find me attractive"
THERE'S ALSO THIS SCENE
The polish version looks like this
"na" can also be translated to "for", depending on the context
In the polish version of one of the previous episodes, Jax called Ragatha rag (szmatka)
So "czas na szmatkę" could also mean "time for Ragatha"
TW: IT'S SUGGESTIVE (and not serious)
Jax, you heard Gangle. You got time to talk, you got time to rag the rag out of Ragatha
