Olympic Games Rio 2016 - Opening Ceremony

sorry rest of the world, but this is the best opening ceremony ever. i mean, sure, the spice girls are cool and all, but we had MC Soffia, Karol Conka, Anitta, Caetano Veloso, Gisele Bundchen and lots of escolas de samba. And look at the colors! I am so happy for my country. They didn’t pretend that slavery never happened when portraying our history, the narrator in the biggest channel in brazil called it a shameful period (basically. i dont remember exactly the what he said, but he did use the word shame), we are going to have a new garden with seeds planted by the athletes of the whole world, global warming was brought to attention to everyone, we will have a team of refuges AND there was a trans girl pedalling (is that the word you use?) one of those bikes that came before each country.

i will be the first to admit that brazil has a LOT of flaws, but we do know how to party. and i have never been prouder of my country.
