Maybe he shouldn’t have mentioned the station. But then again, it would have reminded Quinn about his father, and how much he didn’t want to be in trouble. Jaycee grinned a little to himself, he loved his job.

"Tha’s fine with me." Glancing up, he looked the building over. “Look’s fahn." Heading inside, he quickly paid for a room, and spinning the key around his finger, signalled Quinn to follow him into the elevator.

"Yeah, yeah." Quinn’s tone was as blank as his face, eyes hard as they started up at Jaycee. He followed without a word, lines etched around his mouth as he frowned. This wasn’t an ideal situation, but the gentle reminder had solidified the weird sense of duty he had to doing it. He’d suggested it. It was his fault. He had to deal with the consequences.

He stared at the wall of the elevator, avoiding meeting Jaycee’s gaze- or even looking at him at all anymore. It was easier that way, and he’d avoid everything he was trying to anyway.

They didn't say anything while they were in the elevator, and they were in silence until they got to the hotel bedroom. Jaycee unlocked the door, and let Quinn in, before closing the door and locking it. Cocking a brow, he spoke, "So, wha' do ya' think is a fair price? I wouldn' want to land up owing you." He was aware that he made Quinn sound like a hooker, but he didn't care, he said it because it was amusing.

Jaycee rubbed his eyes, hair disheveled, "didn't miss the wait time for these lights-" he grumbled recognizing the person standing beside him.

Trys batted her eyelashes at him, rolling to face Jaycee. “And you would know where to get some?" She asked carefully. If he was joking, she could always pretend that she had been too.

Jaycee grinned a little bit. “Course ah’ do." Cocking a brow at her, he waited for her to continue. This might be interesting. He hadn’t had anyone to chill with and smoke weed for a while. Knives was into much harder substances, and so were most of his old drug buddies. On the other hand, if she did smoke weed with him, this would be excellent blackmail material.

"Hm and you promise you don’t know my father?" Trys asked a little suspiciously. She did want weed, hadn’t had any in a few months, but it was kind of risky.

"Ah promise." He chuckled. "You's a paranoid lil' thing, ain't ya?" Digging around in his backpack, he pulled out a bag of weed, about four grams. "Look, there ya' go. See."

Jaycee nodded. “Good let’s go - I gotta be back at the station in a little’ while." As entertaining as it was that he’d been sleeping with yet another Lestrade kid. “Quick quick, kid."

He headed down the sidewalk, long legs taking large strides.

Back at the station with his dad. Oh wow, that was a fucking kick to the teeth. Quinn shrugged, though, keeping pace with the taller man. It wasn’t hard. He was used to having to scurry through crowds and maneuver around people.

"Let’s get it over with, yeah?" He slowed slightly as they neared the building, suddenly daunted by- well, what was going to happen. Whatever. It was so he didn’t get in trouble again, he could deal. Probably.

Well. Well. It had been a long time since anyone had told him that. It made him chuckle a little bit. "Well, ah’ right appreciate tha’ doll." He wasn’t going to disagree with her anymore about it, he knew he was a nasty asshole and that was all that mattered.

"So, where were ya’ runnin’ off to so fast?" Jaycee asked her, in mild interest.

I looked down the street before answering his question and his comment, “no problem. You do. I don’t like to lie. And anyway, my brother thought that it would be funny to take my keys and run. So now I can’t use my car until he runs back." She rolled her eyes. Her brother was older than her but acted like preschooler.

She didn't lie. How wonderfully innocect. Licking his lip for a second, he added, "We could get your keys back if you wanted. Mah' squad car's down the road. Ah' could arrest your brother - and you could drop the charges later." Jaycee winked, "Course I'm not supposed to be able to help you do tha'."

"Maybe looking like a twelve year old would be an improvement," Trys suggested, pulling up a handful of grass and throwing it back at him. “You never know," he did look pretty sketchy, but Trys wasn’t too concerned. She knew lot’s of nice people who looked like dangerous criminals.

He pouted, “Ahm’ so offended raght’ now." Shrugging he added, “Ya’ need to calm down, smoke some weed." Jaycee chuckled to himself brushing the grass she’d thrown at him off onto the ground.
