Maybe I missed a sociology or psychology chapter, but for some reason, if I’m trying to make a point to someone and I use terms that I know will make them tic and not listen anymore, maybe I won’t use those terms or try to change my approach.

Something that makes me crazy so fast is when I’m following an itinerary on my phone and it absolutely leads me toward the opposite direction.

I refuse to believe that multiple studios and writers are riding that Logan x Jean shit out of nowhere.

And because my feed never show me a single person who likes it, WHO IS THIS FOR? Where are these people living for this relationship?

Is it big enough to go deep into it? Probably not.

But I do believe that people should be a little more conscious of the “Flirting vs harassment” spirit because it’s not just beauty privilege but a real way we can sometimes filter events through a distorting lens.

Another weird thing for the next two Avengers movies is

Why did they decided to repeat Infinity wars / Endgame with Doomsday / Secret Wars by having 2 movies with a super high number of characters, managing to center characters who were already central last time and with a story where they lose by movie 1 and have a weird victory by movie 2 that won’t even feel like one really.

How little creative juice was there left in all of their combined mind?

And then down the line, they still will ask people to trust them post Secret Wars and they start that by having their biggest franchise given to people who made a flop?

What an interesting strategy.

it’s No Big Deal at all that the Blonde, White Man who used to be Captain America and gave the shield away to a Black Man who has CONSTANTLY been disrespected by the fans and the marvel company in general, and it’s NOT going to sideline The Black Captain America who has been cap for almost a decade in the mcu and over a decade in the comics

even though sam hasn’t been seen in any of the previous trailers and hasn’t said a WORD in this one and is the LEADER OF THE AVENGERS

Is an actor miscast or are they misdirected?

9 times out of 10 when I see someone complain about Steve’s “ending”, nothing they say is about Steve really.

It’s about someone else.

It’s not about if his choices made sense within the story or what he deserves or what form retiring is allowed to look like for him.

And, okay to be fair, the hero figure is held to specific standards but there’s something so… like people deny him his humanity including flaws almost. He exists only to serve and die and being any flavor of selfish is the biggest sin to ever sin.

If the MCU decided to give Sam powers and if they were to be different than what happens in the comics i wonder if that would be an interesting narrative for him now?

We saw characters get new powers yes but not that many when they were already established and already used to operate in a certain way.

Would he see them as interesting and cool or as something that makes him not feel like himself anymore?

Would these skills be fine if he didn’t learn to control them or would they be dangerous even “dormant”?

Would the MCU go the mutate route or the mutant route? Because, and it’s just an idea really, if they went the mutant route, it could be quite interesting for his position as Captain America and his role regardant mutants depending on how they are introduced. Plus you could have a lot of levels with all the racial conversations. But maybe that would be too much, idk.

That said, considering that Joaquin had a dramatic transformation of his own, I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided not to be Sam any kind of superpowers. This isn’t how I would do it but it wouldn’t surprised me. Which is a shame because if we went back to avian related powers and how Joaquin would be some kind of avian vampire style of individual, it could create very cool and unexplored dynamics.

Also it needs to be said but Sam getting powers should never be anywhere near “He needed them” discourse or narrative (unless shown as some sacrifice mayyyyybe). Or that he wasn’t enough. Because he is.

And if we think about Sam in this moment,

He is suing that team because they are using a name that don’t even belong to them.

He is speaking to a team that doesn’t respect him one bit, including someone he probably believed would be on his side no matter what (and by the way, let’s remember that Bucky had no issue using the fact that Sam helped him before to ensure his help and trust again in TFATWS. And now he is working with Valentina? Okay)

Thor is there talking all kind of things to say that they may not be good enough anyway and that they need nothing less but a miracle (assuming that the words matches the scene which may not be the case) and he brings back Steve???

Please explain to me how this isn’t some disrespect to his face?

If they had ended Infinity War with the snap but you didn’t know who disappeared and then 2 Endgame movies released at the same time where you follow one or the other half that both ends up with joining the timelines, it would have been an interesting concept to me.

First, I don’t think this is something you see much in cinema.

Second, it completely works with the timelines aspect of the MCU

Third, you could have added even more craziness because in the end you can have people who experimented the snap or even dying in the other timeline, maybe even create crazy rules.

And then because this event itself was crazy in canon, you can explain that it created more incursion in the multiverse and how it completely fucked over multiples timelines to stabilize this one. THEN you can have Doom lead his merry band of people who wants vengeance when they learn why everyone they love disappeared.

But again, DO YOU THINK THEY SHOWED YOU THE WHOLE TEAM IN THAT TRAILER???

And this is starting to get on my nerves because I do agree that if you take Sam team (I include Scott, Joaquin, Shang Chi, Shuri for now) + the Thunderbolts, it doesn’t make for a very diverse powerset. This is something I mentioned post Thunderbolts multiple times.

But now all this discourse is basically that none of them are worth anything except Sue and mayyyyybe Reeds (not even Thor is mentioned mind you).

And this whole angle is completely ruining character’s hype and relevance.

Truly, this trailer is not generating more hype than I see discouragement, annoyance, stupid takes and frustration.

And ok, I am not very generous myself with how they framed that trailer so I won’t say too much but I do wonder what was the thoughts process behind this trailer beyond hoping this specific part of the fandom will love it and be more hype and louder than everyone else.

Doomsday thoughts

Maybe Doom isn’t revealed to be the bad guy until the end.

Maybe he proposes a plan to save the multiverse and everyone agrees because there isn’t much options and he simply double cross them and Thor is one of the only survivor of that.

I think Doom will ultimately use everyone to create his perfect timeline and that’s how we get to Secret Wars.
