The thing about telepathy is that it’s one of these powers who needs a lot of hidden fine lines in the contract in order to work correctly.

Exemples :

- You hear thoughts on your own voice and never know who they are from

- You can only hear thoughts if you directly looking at someone

- You have no idea if you are hearing the conscious or stream of unconscious thoughts someone may have

Because most of the time in media thr person knows exactly who they are hearing, are able to process thoughts like they would process a normal conversation, can turn it on/off…

“How does this fandom thing any any bearing on this piece of media?”

If the media is a one and done thing, sure.

If the media in an ongoing series and thousands of people get all up in actors/writers face, that’s another situation.

If # are flooded with a specific pov, if a character is extremely popular or not at all, it will be noticed by the company funding the thing (especially if it aligns with an agenda they have).

Fandom does not exist outside of everything else and half of fandoms makes sure it DOES have some power (most of it the power of nuisance and bullying but whatever).

So until fandom is truly separated from a piece of media (which will never happen), let’s not play dumb and act as if voices in fandom spaces are absolutely never listened to.

I know we live in an era online where you have to out “I don’t care” everyone else when it comes to relationships but losing someone you thought was “Your person” truly leaves a hole that is hard to ignore.

And that, even if that individual isn’t ~the best~. You can spend 10 days cursing them and remembering every flaws and hurt but in the end, you still thought about them 10 days, you know what I mean?

A sense of 360 disappointment lol

You could say with your chest and really believe that being back in each other life wouldn’t make much sense anyway and STILL a tiny mosquito voice in your bedroom at 2am would sing “But you miss them”.

The idea that there’s people actually and purposely fighting to get the legal right to poison people is something quite crazy to me.

Truly capitalism at its most vile.

And I get that you need to get money and whatnot but you are lobbying to use products that may and/or do fucked up people. You chose to use something that will give people cancers and illnesses.

Shouldn’t you feel some kind of shame?

And I still think that the clock and bird app having THAT MUCH political power is insane.

People genuinely give them that power over them.

7 times out of 10 when I see someone use “Internalized homophobia” the thing they imply a gay man should be or do feels very backward and in alignment with homophobic views.

And for people who claim to be more self aware than everyone else it annoys me a lot when they are unable to understand that the discourse they have does exist in conjunction to other injunctions about gay men existence.

The “authentic self” they envision is a one size should fit all that simply does not work.

I very rarely have nightmares but I do have occasionally dreams that pisses me off.

There’s characters archetypes I simply do not enjoy. Movie, book, comics, across mediums I simply do not vibe with them.

And unfortunately for me, they tend to have very passionate fan bases. Very “How dare you not like them??”. I wonder if it’s because people project onto them.

While I do think TikTok especially fucked up music artists and the way they are promoted,

I did find songs I liked there.

Sometimes I do kinda annoy myself when it comes to popular topics on social media because I end up thinking “This is cute, now let’s see how long it takes before things turns weird”. 😅
