“Sorry.  My life was not worth your effort.”

Tighnari squeezed his fingers almost to the point it hurt.  Just for a fraction of a second. He probably didn’t even notice.

“If you’re delirious again, you better stay quiet and rest.”

“But I’m not…”

“Cyno,” Tighnari covered Cyno’s mouth with his hand.  A barely tangible, slightly ticklish touch, just close enough to feel the warmth. His skin and clothes smelled of herbs. “These latest three days you were barely breathing. How about you first sleep a couple of hours without driving me into a panic every few minutes when you start getting apnea? And then we shall surely talk in the morning.”

Cyno fell silent. Normally he wasn’t easily embarrassed, but it felt like his cheeks and ears were burning — luckily his hair hid it.  Tighnari had the most absurd combination of politeness and impudence, and Cyno could have gotten used to it already, given their weekly meetings, yet Tighnari seemed to have an outstanding ability to unsettle him.

Сайно замолчал. Смущение было ему незнакомо, но, кажется, у него горели щёки и уши — и хорошо, что волосы это скрывали. В Тигнари самым абсурдным образом сочетались вежливость и беспардонность, с их еженедельными встречами можно уже и привыкнуть, но, кажется, он обладал выдающейся способностью выбивать Сайно из колеи.
