Honey potion mask Claims:smooth, nourished, hydrated skin. Also dewy glow and younger appearance (w prolong use) I have a small travel sized sample that I got in a set from Sephora! I like how the sample and the full size are both glass bottles. Feels sturdy and pricey. The price is moderate for the amount you get I think: 50g for $38 or 117g for $58 No scent from bottle but when applied to face, there is a subtle honey scent Very sticky consistency. Apparently a little goes a long way. Its easy to apply even layers with fingers but I wish the pot wasnt shaped this way… Or if I got a spatula to use this(it may be more sanitary) It a Clear yellow color but when applied onto skin, it turns into a opaque whiteish color. Gradually gets warmer after massaging face. No irritation or burning sensation noted But my face feels really warm esp my upper lip area bc Im breathing though my nose. It gets uncomfortably warm when exhaling…feels weird. Afterwards: Dont notice much difference. The package claims my skin should glow and be hydrated. I think my face feels softer and firmer? Not sure about hydration. My dry spot is still here but it did seem to dry out my acne? So its a little different from the claims. Idk mmm 5/10 bc I feel nothing. I see no benefit. Its not good but its also not bad? Maybe ill change my mind if i use this more. UPDATE>>>i have gotten used to the warm sensation. Ive been using this pretty “regularly”. I really like it especially since it is getting colder out. My skin always feels so soft afterwards! [Reiterating] It claims to hydrate the skin but I am still unsure about that part.(I’ve been using facial oils and moisturizers/lotions regularly since it’s so dry out). The only thing I am not too crazy about is how sticky it is and its a little hard to spread it evenly on the skin if you use a tool. Fingers are great(body warmth helps I think). I recommend getting a small spatula or popsicle stick and putting a small dollop on the back of your non dominant hand (sanitary) then using your fingers to warm the product so it spreads easier on the face. I am going to give it +2 points I think. So 7/10 its not bad. I dont see much benefit. It doesnt irritate my skin and my pores look a little more clearer which is nice. The warming may take some people more time to get used to but overall pretty satisfying. The claims make this product seem like its the most amazing thing ever. I feel that my skin felt smoother and softer. I dont know if my skin became more hydrated, glowed, or looked younger from using this product( My skincare regimen keeps my skin hydrated already and Im still relatively young…and I have no idea how to determine “glowy skin”). Its pretty relaxing to listen to a podcast while laying down on your bed and having this mask warm your face.

The Official “Log Off” Protest F.A.Q! 

The “Log Off” protest is in response to the recent NSFW ban announced by Tumblr. The ban flags all content the filtering system detects as NSFW, reducing visibility to the community. The system has proven time and time again that is inefficient, oftentimes flagging SFW material as NSFW. 

This SFW material includes art, memes and so on. This ban directly hurts the community and will not solve the actual problems at hand due to the poor flagging system. Because of this, the entire community will suffer.  

So to respond, I propose that every user on Tumblr logs off of Tumblr for 24 hours on December 17th at 12 am EST.

I really love tumblr, it has always been a place for me to come and see what people have made. I love the fandom communities and honestly can’t imagine not having tumblr.

But. Their new policies go against everything that makes this a place for creation and community. Their policies are hurting creators and there’s no point in me being here if all the stuff and blogs i love gets falsely tagged as NSFW and removed.

Please. Help us keep tumblr the chaotic mess we know and love. There is a better way to improve the website.

For everyone interested in signing the petition floating around, and for everyone interested in logging out of tumblr for 24 hours, like another post is saying, I’ve got one question:

If staff doesn’t act on this, what are you willing to do?

If your answer is “Delete my account”, then by all means, go on.

If your answer is “I don’t know” or “Nothing”, then I would ask you to reconsider.

The truth is that tumblr/staff/verizon probably will not listen to any petition. They will not be actively hurt by seeing any number of people being against them as long as they are still on tumblr. They will not be actively hurt by anyone logging off of tumblr for 24 hours as long as they log back in later. As long as the accounts are on tumblr, they will not be hurt. The only way to actively hurt tumblr/staff/verizon is to remove your tumblr.

This post explains why.

Please share this, please reconsider taking a passive approach. It’s a very hard decision to make, to remove your tumblr, but they are forcing our hands and we need to act. They will benefit from us being passive. We need to be active.

There needs to be a consequence.

REVIEW TIME! Drunk elephant sukari baby facial

My roommate kindly let me use a little bit of hers(donated a bit to my cause). I also got a mini sample in my Sephora petal skincare box (from the 15%off sale. Such a steal!)😍

Its a pump bottle so quite sanitary which i like The product is a brownish yellow sticky gel with specks in it Doesnt have much scent so thats great for those sensitive to fragrances

When applying: I used 2.5 pumps from this sample bottle to cover my face. I immediately felt prickling needle sensations all over my face when applied. IT HURTS! Face felt warm...with some pain and tingling. Maybe a little burning...

Am i becoming masochistic?😟

It dries quickly into a sticky mask and pain went away or i got used to the pain quickly after 5-10minutes but face still feels warm and there a slight prickling around my cheeks every so often

The first time with this product, I feared pain bc of the trauma from the fresh black tea mask so I applied it farrrrrrrr away from my eyes. This time, i knew what to expect so I applied it closer (still avoiding sensitive eye area for safety)

I had it on for the full 20minutes. After a while, its a little tacky but manageable. And its pretty lightweight on the face. It dries a shiny clear but with white specks on the face.

After washing, my face felt so soft! And super shiny and clean. Is it just me or does my face look plumper? Slight redness around my upper and lower cheeks, and around my nose so maybe a little irritation... But this does have a lot of different acids in it. There wasnt a lot of irritation the second time, just a little redness along my jawline by the cheeks

Ive only used this twice so far and its not bad! I do recommend using a facial oil afterwards to sooth the face.

This has 25%aha and 2%bha to exfoliate the skin and "improve skin texture and tone". It claims to "minimize lines, wrinkles, unclog pores, and boost overall clarity"

I will have to continue using this to see if it actually does what it claims but so far, I dont think its bad. However it is painful with each initial application so far and its super pricey. I read somewhere that if I prep my skin w the DE glycolic serum for a week, I can avoid the pain... That product is also expensive so when I can afford that(ugh), Ill let you guys know how that combo works.

Mmm should i get the full size? Its 80 but with 20%discount around november...$64 50mL hm so 1.28 per mL >>>grrrrrrrr still pretty expensive... Well maybe ill get it when theres the sale is save myself money. This is quite the expense. But I got a pretty good amount for a sample size from a gift box. i really recommend buying the sephora gift boxes.

Is give it 7/10 for now. Affected by the pain and affordability. Slight irritation the first time but none the second time (but if i don't think about the torture this has on my wallet, 8/10)

Fresh Black tea instant perfecting Mask Claims: advanced antioxidants immediately reveals softer firmer skin

I got a small travel sized container of this mask in my Sephora Power the Petal box (did a Sephora haul last weekend 😉 bc SALE~) and decided to try it out today

Appearance smooth creamy yellow color…kinda like a pastel beeswax color? Nice consistency, smooth and creamy not sticky…kinda soft which is intersting STRONG fragrance. NO idea what it is but something floral like? It doesn’t smell like any chemicals I know. It reminds me a little of some of the other Fresh products like the rose mask.

It states to avoid the eye area which I did… But seriously the smell is BURNING my eyes and giving me a headache Thank god it’s only for 10 minutes. I am willing to suffer for beauty My face feels super cool and tingly. Much stronger than many other cooling face masks Ive used so…it’s a little concerning But it could be because I exfoliated with my new Neogen lemon scrub before doing this? However, I have exfoliated before using a face mask before and this hasn’t happened.

Is this normal? Holy shit. My pores are a little smaller and they look a little clearer. Face feels a little tighter and smoother. But I think it dried it out a bit bc I can see a little bit of pustule forming…strange The tops of my cheeks are a little red too.

Welp. This is a sign for me to not continue to use this I think. >>>When they say IMMEDIATELY, they really mean it. This product apparently has some amazing reviews and won a beauty award in 2016. I can see why because it produced immediate effects. But for me, I think it was a little too strong? Or it didn’t mix well with my face routine. I may try it again once more without the exfoliating next time to see if its better.

But for now, first impressions 3/10. I thought I was experiencing a little 10 minute death. 🤐

<35 min later> While the website claims that this product has a moisturizing effect, I think it dried my skin out instead. I can see my pores producing sebum to compensate for lack of moisture… My pores look amazing though?

Thank goodness I got this as part of a set instead of buying the full container based off reviews.😝

Line Friends Mediheal PDF AC dressing ampoule mask Claims: skin soothing, sebum control, anti-wrinkle. Controls skin problems and oil secretion Lets be honest. I bought this one because there’s a little duck on it. Her name is Sally!

Strong scent right out of the pack Cute character on the right cheek Lots of essence on the mask itself and leftover in the packet Mask is easy to open despite not having one of this plastic barriers to separate it…well it does save the earth The shape fits my face well. There just enough space of nose are and the gap around the nose isn’t too wide. Mouth area is a little too big so it’s a little awkward Mask itself is soft and doesn’t irritate my skin Sticks on well and doesn’t slide off of face The mask feels cool and refreshing While the fragrance is strong, it doesn’t seem to irritate my eyes Essence is watery and not sticky And absorbs into my skin quite quickly I didn’t see any visible improvement to my redness around my acne By my skin does feel soft and hydrated which I like Perhaps If I use this specific mask more then Id see something but for first impressions, Id give it 7/10.

Claims: Firming/Lifting and Anti-aging

One can never start too early in addressing anti-aging issues…especially if you have troubled skin and make TOO many facial expressions. I smile and raise my eyebrows a lot so I imagine, If I get wrinkles first, it’ll be around my forehead and mouth. >>>Also Brown (Line friends character) is on the face of this package and he’s so cute!

Slight scent. Not as strong as the duck one.

Similar to the other mask in the series, its made of a soft cottony feeling sheet.

Very saturated in essence and thick when out of the package. Like the other mask, there an excess of essence! Eye holes are wider but on average, it’s kind of small. It JUST fit my eyes and eye spacing so …maybe people with larger and deeper sockets or different face shape will have problems with where it lays on the face

Shape is great. It is wide and long enough for my round face and there isn’t too much extra fabric overlapping and bunching around the usual areas like my chin and hairline.

However the product does sting my eyes a little bit. I am unsure if it is due to the fragrance or the size of the eyeholes (so some essence is either too close or in my eye)

Don’t see any immediate effects. The website says it takes 4 weeks for skin turnover so maybe if I use it longer, Ill see some amazing changes.

Face does feel a little tighter and hydrated afterwards

Again, for first impressions, 7/10. I like everything overall but kinda wish they eye holes were bigger and didn’t feel like my eyeballs were suffering

REVIEW TIME! 

This was a box of both the (pink) Whitening black mask and the (gray) Intensive repairing black mask

Ive tried out both the pink and gray one in the box and finally have the time to post something. [Note: i havent tried the eye mask one since i havent felt the need to use it yet]

Sooo overall thoughts: Like outer packaging. Its cute. I love all the heroine make products and the art distinctly reminds me of it.

In general, both masks:Mask is cottony soft. Hate how its folded inside the packaging. Other masks has like a plastic sheet or something to separate it and keep it in a nice shape so its easier to open and put on. This one is folded into half and then thirds which is annoying bc it sticks together (as most masks do) and makes it hard to take apart. Theyre quite large for my face but I am a small person. Essence is nonsticky and the masks dries quicker than most.

Pink one: Whitening Smells lightly of moms hair dye? Or salon?Soft cotton like fabric. Its thin and black. Comfortable on the skin. The essence doesnt feel sticky or goopy. Wide face shape. Easily sticks bc thin cotton. Nose part is wide but the lip portion is really thin and small which is weird. i cant think of anyones face shape being like this. Cooling on skin. Scent doesnt irritate me or my eyes.Longer than my face so lots fabric/sheet stretched on my chin. It was on for about 20minutes and the serum soaks in quite well and doesnt feel like theres a film of something on the skin Skin is smoother and more moisturized. Pores are tiny bit smaller than before but not that much. But cheeks are red. Maybe some irritation/inflammation is happening?

Gray one: Repair Scent is more strong and chemically but doesnt sting eyes.

It does slip on the face more so maybe it has more fluid?Nose area isnt covered well which is disappointing.Cool and tingly on face. Minimize pores. And less redness. My skin feels a little tighter which is interesting.The essence dried faster with this mask so only was on about 15-20min?Again it didnt feel sticky or anything but it does feel like my skin is more moisturized. I didnt wash off the remaining essence on the skin and fell asleep with it one. nothing abnormal with the sin in the morning besides feeling soft. when washing the skin, it felt like i was washing a layer off...im going to assume it made a actual barrier on my skin which is why it felt more moisturized instead of my usual dry patches.

I think I like the gray one better but...all in all, I didnt see much difference in the face afterwards? Im unsure whether it does anything for long term purposes.The quality of the mask itself isnt bad and feels better than a lot of other masks ive tried. the essence feels pleasant on the skin too.Id give it 7/10? I dont recommend these for those who are sensitive to fragrance though

2. tried it on my hand. Its a brush tip liquid eyeliner in dark brown. Does not tug on the skin with application and glides smoothly. No smudging or flaking off when i rub it. (I gave it 10sec to set) it claims to be waterproof so i ran the swatch under cold water and it stayed on. Slight fading on the edges when i started rubbing the swatch under cold water. After drying, i rubbed and scraped the swatch--it stayed put. Idk how it will do on a oily skin types over the course of the day (bc i havent tried it on my face yet) but so far so good? >>When applied it to my lids, it stayed fairly well on the lids for 4 hours in rainy weather but then it began to flake on the ends of the wing rubbing it made it flake more. Its kinda of weird bc when flaking it rolls a little into little strips? Whats happening here Color is lovely but stay power on oily lids is weak
