I like to imagine Reynold a fully healed man-child with a bright and endearing personality, but it's almost impossible for him to be purely happy after all the losses he's faced in life, which really makes me want to give him a big hug and not let go until he swears on his name that he's the happiest person in the world and take all his sadness from him and make them mine and give him not only his own happiness, but mine and everyone else's too so I made myself an oc, isekaied into the world of vadd, ran to Eckhart estate and dedicated my life to making sure he never stops smiling

I keep thinking about his reaction to Penelope running away -- he begged her to stop, but when she did, he accepted her decision, and then drank on his pain, obviously planning on going back to normal and proving he buries his suffering in his heart, multiplying the respect I have for him.

Still, though. I think he gets his sunny and cute personality from living in the moment and letting life take it's course for the future in a "I'll deal with it" kind of way and letting go of things in the past he can't undo, unlike Penelope and Derrick.

If you look at it this way, he's probably happier than you made him seem just now still crying while looking through my 'blushing and cute Reynold' pictures folder
