CORAS POV

The Plane ride was far from what I expected, the girls were so excited and since our show was sponsored by a few big companies we flew first class. When we landed in Sydney jet lag had officially taken its toll on each of us. Everyone just wanted to check in to the hotel and go to sleep. It was well into the middle of the next day when we arrived and there was plenty time to explore. The companies spared no expense and we were staying at a very upscale hotel. Inside the rooms there was one bed and a small kitchen area. The window opened up to a wide view of the city below and the Harbor. We each had our own rooms which was probably a good thing considering most of the girls planned on having a fling or two with the Australian locals. We already had our schedules tacked to our walls. I walked into the bathroom and stripped down to shower when I heard my phone ringing. Wrapping a towel around my waist I rushed into the bedroom to grab my phone.

 JAIS POV

  I watched her walk to the elevator and my eyes were fixed on her perfectly round ass, dance had done her body well. After closing the door I turned around to find Mila flat on the floor. She looked  tired and irritated. “Come on girl. don’t you worry about ya mum She’ll be right” I patted the side-a my leg and she got up and followed me to the couch.

“Well Mil, I should start packin so that we ken see ya mum soon” I patted her head and got up to handle business. A few hours into the day Jason called to say he was headed over. I didn’t complain, I could use the help to sort out this mess. Mil had found a place in the sun and had fallen asleep her loud snores brought comfort to this place and I was grateful. I saw J’s mug at my door in the security cam and I got up to open the door.

“There he is!” I grinned and clasped Jay on the back as he walked in. J really was my best mate and it would be hard to leave him behind.

“Hey man! How’s the packing going?” he smiled but after taking one look behind me he frowned instead.

“What the fuck bro, you havent done shit!” he laughed.

“Oh Hush up. Its been a shit day” I grouched. He raised his eyebrows and I told him what happened with Mecki and Cora.

“She was so smooth about it. I was about three secs away from havin a pash with her before she left. She’s screwin with me mate” I sat at the bar stool as he helped himself to a tin in the fridge.

“You are so fucked man. You sound like a lovesick dog on the street.” he laughed again.

“Ya terrible ya know that?” I grinned.

“What’s stopping you from calling her and making your fantasies a reality dude?! oh I know.. NOTHING” he said dramatically.

“I just… I wan her and I wan her now” I could feel myself becoming frustrated.

“So call her tonight but until then we have got to get your place packed” he pulled of his coat and we started putting stuff in boxes.

LISAS POV

I was putting dishes away out of habit when Jason and Jai walked through the door with Mila in tow. The kids ran off with Mila promptly and I asked the nanny to keep an eye on them. “Hey baby” I smiled as Jason  came up behind me and placed his strong hands on my waist and leaned forward to kiss my cheek. “How’d the packing go?” I dared to ask and was rewarded with Jai’s grimace.

“Bout ready to toss the whole lot” he shook his head.

“How’s Cora?” I asked.

“She's… alrigh I guess” he closed his eyes and walked off into the living room. I turned to look at Jason with raised eyebrows.

“What’s going on?” I asked curiously.

“He’s frustrated by the mere thought of her” he smiled thoughtfully.

“What does that mean?” I smirked back.

“He’s hooked my love, He just wants to uhh.. How do the Aussies say it?” he turned from me and called out to the living room.

“Hey Jai how do Australians say have sex?” he yelled and I started laughing.

“Hav a good root!” Jai yelled from around the corner.

I looked at Jason and he looked at me and wiggled his eyebrows making me laugh even harder.

“I wonder if he knows it yet” I said turning back to the dishes.

“What?” he cocked his head to the side still smiling.

“That he’s already fallen in love” I said over my shoulder…..

“He wont know until the words come tumbling out of his mouth” he winked and went into the living room.

Even though Jai and Cora were adults I deeply hoped they’d get together soon, Fall weddings are my favorite I thought and shook my head.

 CORAS POV

When I landed on the bed I saw it was a video call from an unknown number and without thinking about being in a towel I answered it. The call connected and I was staring into the handsome face of Jai.

“Are you in a towel?” he asked in a low amused voice.

“Shit, let me go put some clothes on.” I held on to my towel for dear life.

“I am perfectly fine with the view I have of ya now” he grinned.

“I bet Mr. Courtney.” I situated myself on the bed so that I was laying on my stomach and wouldn’t have to hold up my towel.

“You are a beaut ya know that? Its been a long day and I wish ya were here with me n-stead” His eyes were low and he seemed on edge. His accent seemed to become thicker as the conversation progressed. I’ll admit it turned me on and again I was practically naked.

“Thank you, you aren’t half bad yourself” I smiled and bit my lower lip.

“Now don’t go an do that…” his smile vanished and was replaced with a lustful expression.

“You make being a lady very difficult.” I exhaled after I realized I was holding my breath.

“magine how I feel bein a gentleman” his blue eyes gleamed with all the dirty thoughts I was sure were in his mind.

“How’s Mila?” I asked trying to slow down the rising sexual tension between us.

“She’s asleep next to me.” he flipped the camera around so I could see her and then flipped it back to him.

“I see she’s made herself at home.” I laughed.

“Yeah she didn’t have any problem with that. Cora?” he said.

“Jai?” I smirked.

“I gotta tell ya, I wan ya more than anything.” His eyes were low again.

“You want me?” I asked my voice filling with desire.

“Fuck yeh I do.” he sat up on the bed and I could see his bare and muscular shoulders.

“I’m all Yours” I whispered.

“How long for?” he licked his perfect lips.

“For as long as you last” I batted my long lashes and rolled over on the bed so that the towel barely covered my breasts.

“Just make sure ya don’t have practice the next day sheila” he chuckled and his laugh sent shivers to all my intimate places. What had I gotten myself into…..

JAIS POV

I was halfway through breakfast when I saw her walking up to my flat on the security camera. I sighed and made a face. The doorbell rang and I gathered myself and got up to answer the door. I didn’t greet Mecki with a hug but I kept a polite disposition. Its not like we blew up, we just didn’t work out.  “Hello Jai” She said awkwardly. “Ey, wut brings you to the flat, forget somthin?” I was still standing in the doorway. “Yeah, there’s a box I left in the closet that has some things in it” she crossed her arms.

“Oh, Alrigh” I stepped aside and she walked straight through to the bedroom. I waited by the door and in seconds she was heading out of the bedroom door with a large packing box in her arms.

“That it?” I asked.  She turned to look at me on her way out and shot me the look of the devil she did.

“You know if you’re in such a rush to get rid of me you could have just answered my calls and left the box outside like I asked!” she snapped.

“Whoa, I meant nothing by my comment you’re the one who was offended. No need to come at me all hostile like!” I hissed back at her.

“Always full of excuses aren’t you?” she snapped back and shook her head in disgust.

“Me? Now love don go and get me mixed up with ya-self” as I said this  I saw the red rising in her cheeks.

“FUCK YOU!” she screeched.

“Oh yah, there ya go yellin as usual, that’s all ya know how to do anyhow!”  We had moved into the hallway. In our screaming we hadn’t noticed Cora standing frozen in the hallway with Mila on her leash…

CORAS POV

There was nowhere for me to hide as I looked left and right and then felt myself freeze. “Think Cora Dammit He’s looking at you!” I panicked inside my head. I took a deep breath and continued to Jai’s apartment.  I didn’t have anything to hide and therefore saw no reason to be intimidated by their lovers quarrel. Reaching the two of them I watched Jais eyes widen and Mecki stared at me with such an intensity that almost made me hand Mila over to Jai and leave. I stood my ground and cleared my throat shifting the bag on my shoulder. “Mila and I will wait inside for you so that you two might finish your conversation” I directed my words at both of them and stepped over the threshold into Jai’s apartment. They promptly returned to arguing and I caught the very last words.

“You bring another woman into our apartment!” she huffed in an ear-shattering octave.

“Its no longer any  of ya business who I invite into MY home Mecki ” Jai boomed back.

Mecki must have turned on her heels because moments after his comment I could hear the clicking of her shoes and Jai had closed the door. He looked up at me sheepishly and I could feel his embarrassment from across the room. “I’m sorr-” he started. I Raised my hand up palm facing him to stop him.  “Whatever happened between the two of you has nothing to do with me and Id like to keep it that way if you don’t mind” I said coolly and smiled to reassure him that he hadn’t done anything wrong.  He breathed a small sigh of what I assumed to be relief.

“So, you two have already met” I gestured towards Mila. “She doesn’t have some extreme schedule but she does have a few things to be mindful for” I watched him nod his head in response.  

“First; Mastiffs are one of the top candidates for joint problems so, no jumping off of high areas and no running for long periods of time. Second; She tires easily, so always keep on eye on her hydration and be sure to let her rest, along with that she will also drink herself and eat herself to death if given the chance. No free feeding or drinking and I think that about sums it up” I put my hand down and Mila licked it in agreement.  

“Alrigh, is she allowed to be on the furniture? Bed included” he asked. I laughed. “Wut?” he asked. “She is a huge bed hog the first time you sleep next to her, but once she learns your body and how you sleep she has a knack for curling up in the perfect spot.” I dropped down to her level and gave her a hug, even though I would be seeing her again soon I had never been away from her for longer than a few hours. I was going to miss my baby.

“You’d better go” Jai said softly and I nodded knowing that he was right and I did not want to be late for my flight.  “Right, Bye Mila. Thanks again for everything Jai” I said walking to the door after telling Mila to stay put.  Jai held his arms out and I walked into them. His arms were huge and I sunk into his embrace perfectly. My brain was in heaven but my body was in agony. I wanted nothing more than to be carried off to his bedroom… shit even right here on the floor would do. The lengthy hug had reached the point of being awkward and I pulled back but he kept his arms firmly around me.

“ I really do like you Cora” he said as his eyes bore into mine. “I really wish it didn’t feel like my soul was being revealed whenever you looked at me” I whispered.  He chuckled “I don’t know if I should laugh or kiss ya.”  “Either is fine” I looked down surprised by my own response. I felt a bump against my leg and looked down to find Mila staring up  at us her tongue hanging out of her mouth. Jai kissed my forehead and a small pang of disappointment went through my chest. He was first and foremost a gentleman. Jai walked me to the door with Mila following behind. “If anything happens to her I will kill you Jai. Remember that” I said over my shoulder as The door to Jais apartment started to close  behind me. “Got it” he laughed and as I walked down the hall to the elevator I  could feel the heat of his gaze and I realized that the next three days were going to be torture.

Outfit Inspo For Cora

I was standing on stage in the club for the last time. I danced my heart out, I smiled and laughed. I took in every worn imperfection on this stage. I stared out at the crowd and tried to commit every face to memory. There was sadness in my chest; it was mixed with fear and excitement. It was towards the end of the set and the crowd was cheering for an encore. Every seat in the house was full, we hired extra staff for the influx of people and they needed it. I was back stage after the show, there was an after party and a lot of the girls were changing into comfortable costumes to mingle in I chose my red outfit.

 All my costumes had names some were obvious and others related to things that had happened while I was wearing them. After attaching my back piece I went back into the club area. Sugar was my closet friend that I worked with; she was tall with legs for days. She had hair black as night and was pale as the moon. She reminded us of Dita Von Teese.  She hardly spoke to anyone but me and I don’t even remember how we became friends. She walked up next to me as I was walking the back hallway.   

“You ready for tomorrow?” she asked “As ready as I’ll ever be, you?” I frowned adjusting my Garter straps.  “I was born ready, you know this. I’m already packed and everything, I can’t wait to get out of this wasteland” she griped.  Sugar’s real name was Molly. Her mother named her after Molly Ringwald and she had always been bitter about LA.  We rounded the corner and she pushed up her boobs in her corset and went left as I went right. I was walking around when I kept hearing my name, turning my head I saw in the corner of the room stood a table that we kept our VIP’s at. I walked over and the closer I got the more faces I recognized.

  LISAS POV

Coraleiani walked towards us in an extremely revealing, elaborate costume and I felt Jason stiffen involuntarily beside me. Jason has always looked at Cora as one of his daughters, he never voices it out loud but I knew he did. His face was pained as she neared the table. “Relax. This is what she does for a living you know that. She’s a beautiful grown woman” I squeezed his knee gently. He looked over at me, nodded and took a breath. I smiled, I had really lucked out finding Jason, there were few truly genuine people on this earth and I had found one for my own.  

When she got to the table I saw her eyes widen at Jai sitting next to Zoe. She had no idea how smitten he was and she probably never would. You can only see love like that from the outside looking in. Jai’s eyes wondered over her entire body quickly and then painstakingly slow, like he was drinking her in and savoring the taste. Jason noticed it to and started smiling. I figured I’d better break the silence and I was about to say something when Jai spoke up.   “You look beautiful” he said.  She smiled and said “Thank you. I didn’t know if you guys were going to make it” she looked down and her long dark lashes brushed her cheeks.  “Who wants a drink?” I said kicking Zoe and Jason. They both looked up and then agreed; we all got up and left the two of them alone.  

  JAIS POV

Cora stood next to me and I felt like my mind was imploding on itself. The gentleman in me wanted to shower her with roses and tell she was beautiful every two minutes. But the man in me wanted to bend her over this table right now. I cleared my throat and watched as she sat down on Zoe’s empty stool. She placed her hands in her lap and sat up straight.  “Are you okay?” she asked.  “Forgive me, I’m trying to be polite but it’s quite the task with you looking the way you do” my eyes were trained on hers.  “Oh” she said modestly which was funny because her tone of voice was the only modest thing about her at the moment. The costume she had on was all red, the middle section of it was beaded and her breasts sat up beautifully.  Her hair was done in waves and attached was a sort of feather headdress. I couldn’t contain myself much longer. I needed to feel her skin beneath my hands, her lips belonged on mine.  I was about to say something rash and I hope I didn’t offend her.

“Cora I want to tell you something…” I started to say exactly what was on my mind but someone interrupted me.

“Hey Blondie can we get a picture with you?” a group of young men asked her.

“Sure if my company doesn’t mind” her Amber eyes flicked over to me.

“No, of course not go right ahead” I looked down at the table and then watched her get up and situate herself in the middle of the group. For the first time I was the invisible one; it felt strange and I most definitely did mind but I had no place to say that.  when she returned to her seat she seemed unbothered by what just happened. I wish I could say the same…

CORAS POV

“So are you ready to temporality be in the company of Mila?” I smiled at him and to my pleasure his eyes lit up and he smiled fabulously. 

“Absolutely, she’s amazing. I made all the arrangements and we will fly out three days after you do.” he said in a thick Aussie Accent.  I was staring at him intensely as he continued to talk about Mila but I was long gone from the conversation. I was practically naked already, I had fantasized about the two of us together a million times since we first met. I imagined how he would feel against me and what it would be like to wake up next to him in the morning.  “She will be in good hands, I promise I wont let anything happen to her” he had finished talking and I smiled and nodded. I needed to go back stage to pack up my things and Lisa, Jason and Zoe were walking back over. when they all sat down I stood up. 

“Well, I hate to run off but I have to get all my costumes packed or Leon has threatened to leave me here, but I really appreciate you all coming” i smiled and walked over to give Lisa and Jason a hug.  I told Zoe I’d text her and then I walked over to Jai. “I will see you in the morning when I drop off Mila” I leant over paused and planted a lingering kiss on his cheek.  I started to walk away when I felt my hand being grabbed. I turned around quickly.  “How can you kiss my cheek knowing its your lips I want?”  Jai asked and his ocean colored eyes almost resembled a storm.  “You didn’t offer your lips” I sighed.

He had pulled me against him and it felt like the entire room was holding its breath. I could hear my heart pounding. “May i?” he asked. “You may” I answered quickly.  His lips were on mine in less than a minute. I could tell he wanted to touch other parts of me, but it was hardly appropriate in this setting. His tongue entered my mouth with rhythm and purpose. He was warm and inviting, the stubble from today’s growth  brushed my cheeks as the kiss deepened. We pulled back at the same time and I kept my eyes on the ground. Jai lifted my chin and his beautiful eyes bore into mine. I noticed his dimpled cheeks  as he smiled.  “See you tomorrow Cora” he politely stepped back from me and I turned and left.

  JASONS POV

Jai walked back over to the table with a shit eating grin on his face. He rubbed the back of his head and said “I Think I’m going to head out”

“I bet you are man!” I grinned.  Lisa laughed “You just couldn’t wait could you?”

“Come on guys, you’re embarrassing me” he grabbed his coat and waved over his shoulder.

“Should we make plans for a fall wedding?” I bumped Lisa gently.

“I don’t know, we might be attending a baby shower at that time!” Zoe raised her eyebrows and we all laughed.

It’s been a wild ride for the last four years. I haven’t seen my family in a long time but I know they support me from afar.  These are the same thoughts I’ve had since the first time I stepped on stage. I could hear the crowd of rowdy men and women from behind the curtain.  It echoed in my ears like the sound of a siren blaring down the street.  I welcome it, like a blanket on a snow day.  The curtain rose and I could see my sequined corset catch the lights.

“He wants to take me to breakfast

 He wants to meet me in London

  Three steps to the left… turn and smile at the crowd, leg up and gasp. Turn around shake my ass, half face the crowd right leg up smack my ass. Turn again dry hump the male dancer, who by the way is definitely gay.  Tip my hat, three steps to the center, drop into a split, flip forward hands in the air, lifted by male dancer walk together towards the center of the stage….

The small venue erupted with cheers as the curtain came down. It was our last set of the night and I was exhausted. I always enjoyed preforming for the burlesque but it was almost all I had time for.  I was a full time performer straight out of college, Julliard for four years and then touring with a company. I loved all styles of dance but burlesque was my favorite. After changing out of costume I slid into my favorite pair of black jeans and tossed my curly hair in a bun on top of my head. I looked up as my best friend and her mother were coming to my vanity.

“You were amazing!” Zoe said. She was always calm on the big screen but in person she was hyper. Her mom Lisa was the complete opposite. She always spoke in a calm and soothing voice that had been calming my nerves at every dance recital since I was five years old. Lisa was the only reason I was able to attend Julliard. I’ve always called her mom and she’s never treated me any different than Zoe or her two other children.  “Very sexy” Lisa smiled.  “Thanks guys, I’m so glad you could make it” I said pulling my hoodie over my shoulders. It was winter time in LA and I planned to enjoy it while I could.

“I can’t believe you’re going on a world tour! I’m so jealous” Zoe teased as we started to walk to the back door.  “Neither can I, I’m nervous.” I frowned.

“You have nothing to be nervous about. How many nights do you have left here?” Lisa asked as we neared the car.  “I have two days left here and then it’s off to Australia” I smiled.  “Ugh I hate to see you go, that’s so far away from us” her mouth turned into a thin line.  “Oh mom, I’ll be back before you know it and I will facetime everyday” I hugged her and Zoe.  “Come by the house to get something to eat, it’s pretty late.” She got into the driver’s side of her car and Zoe and I got in mine. “Soooooooo, have you talked to your mom?” Zoë asked and I frowned. “Not really. What am I supposed to say…? “Hey mom I dance half naked for a living and I’m going on tour” I’m sure she’d just love that” she made a face of discomfort “Point taken, you’re going to have to tell her eventually.  “I know…” the remainder of the car ride was silent as I turned up the music. My mom is Lisa Bonet’s best friend Cree Summers; I didn’t know she was mother until I was five years old. When I was born my mother and father made an agreement, they were never married and my mother wasn’t ready to be a mother. I was to be raised by my father and kept  out of the spot light. Long story short the universe found out about me and I found out about her the end right?

No… my father did everything possible to shield me from it, but my mom was not giving up. After a lengthy court battle my father finally agreed to joint custody.  My father was still very adamant about me staying out of the spotlight and my mother  had also got on board. I shook the thoughts away as we pulled up to Zoe’s house. “Dads home, looks like he has a friend over” she said spotting the Motorcycle in the driveway.  I locked the car and followed her in. when I got to the door I could hear yelling coming from the living room. I looked at Zoe and raised my eyebrow.  She shrugged her shoulders and walked into the kitchen. I took off my jacket and poked my head into the living room to say hey to Zoe’s dad Jason.  Lisa remarried when Zoe and I were growing up after divorcing from her dad Lenny.  Jason was a big time actor himself and always a joy to be around.  “Hey!” I said loudly with a small wave.  “Cora! I didn’t know you were coming over!” Jason jumped up from the couch and pulled me from around the corner and into a bear hug. He was not a small man by far and in an instant I felt my back pop. “Jason.. Please” I gasped. “Whoops, it’s so good to see you!” he smiled sincerely.  He backed up and I noticed the other man who was on the couch standing behind him.

I felt like I had been hit by a semi and I prayed it wasn’t written all over my face. Jason’s “Friend” was Jai Courtney. He was pretty much a staple in entertainment these days. I had seen him on several magazines and in several movies. I could feel my brain imploding. “Jai this is Coraleiani but we call her Cora for short” he gestured to me “Cora this is Jai” I nodded coolly and said “Hello”. His eyes seemed to sweep over my entire body, not that I was wearing anything revealing. He smiled and stepped forward holding out his hand for me to shake. I hesitantly walked up to him and placed my hand in his. “HI” he grinned. “Cora, come eat with us” Lisa called from the kitchen.  I pulled my hand back slowly as  my amber eyes  remained glued to his fantastic blue ones. His gaze was intense, almost as if he demanded to be seen at all times. I realized that our hands weren’t joined but seemed to be hanging in the empty air. Jason cleared his throat and mine and Jai’s connection broke. “I’d better go” I said forcing my hand down to my side. I turned for the kitchen and ran smack into Lisa and Zoe.  I glared at both of them and walked into the kitchen. I sat down on the stool and Lisa and Zoe sat down beside and across from me. “Don’t” I said shoving the vegan pasta in my mouth that Lisa made.  “Oh my goodness, I thought you two were going to kiss” Zoe whispered. “Mhmmmm. If Jason hadn’t cleared his throat I’m sure they would have. Jai is a very attractive man.” Lisa smiled. “Mom, Zoe, drop it. I’m already embarrassed as is.” I dropped my fork on my plate and sighed. “Okay, but this isn’t going away. Jai is Jason’s best friend and you’re about to go to Australia” Lisa looked over at me and waggled her eyebrows. I just wanted to crawl under a rock and disappear. I finished dinner as fast as they’d allow and they walked me to the door. “Bye Coraleiani” Lisa hugged me at the door. I was trying to make a run for it  with what little shred of dignity I had left when I looked up and saw Jason and Jai outside by Jai’s Motorcycle. I took a breath and I swear I could feel Lisa and Zoe’s grins on the back of my neck. I walked to my car quickly and pulled off before I even turned on my music.

JAI’S POV

“You like what you see?” Jason smirked.  

“Who is she?” I stared after her black Chevy Impala.

“That’s Cora man, Cree’s daughter.” He grinned.

“Fuckin hell she grew up didn’t she?” I ran my fingers through my hair.

“Hey, she’s family. You can look but you can’t touch, Lisa will eat you alive” he crossed his arms.

“How old?” I asked ignoring his last statement.

“Same as Zoe, 28, I’m telling you leave her alone. She’s a dancer, went to college and everything. Works at the Shadow lounge down the block” his grin widened.

“That’s a strip club ain’t it?” I grinned back.

“Not exactly” he turned and walked away from.

“Really? You’re just going to walk away and leave me to wonder!” I called to Jason’s back. He waved over his shoulder. I frowned and hopped on my bike.

JASONS POV

I closed the door behind me and ran into my wife on the stairs. She was smiling. “What are you smiling about?” I adored my wife, I thought to myself.  “He’s enamored isn’t he?” she smiled crossing her arms. “How’d you know?” I sighed and walked up to take her into my arms. “The way he was staring, reminded me of how I stare at you” she wrapped her arms around my neck and then wrapped her legs around my waist. “Don’t worry I already told him she’s off limits” I carried her up the stairs. “I’m not worried. She likes him too. Just let things run their course” Lisa leaned forward and kissed me. “I Love you” she whispered.  “You better” I smiled kissing her again…
