Sorry for the slowing down of TS3 posts! On one hand I'm experiencing some lag. I need to figure out how to make it disappear, it's a bit annoying...

On the other I got my very early birthday gift (it's near the end of July actually), a Nintendo Switch Lite so I've been playing Animal Crossing New Horizons nonstop... I've been admiring others play this game for so long but it seemed unattainable because it is way out of my budget. This is such a big moment for me 😭🙈 I put some info about my early game under the cut.

My native fruit(?) is Pear

My starter villagers are Deirdre (whom I'm a little unsure about) and Genji (whom I love!)

I absolutely love Blathers and Leif. Gulliver just came and went so I don't know yet. Tom Nook is sus... Timmy and Tommy are cute minions to him though!

I chose the map with a lot of rivers so my island is pretty devided. Which means a lot of my buildings are unfortunately crammed in one space 😅 I'm hoping to get this fixed later when I can.

One thing no one told me about/haven't realized from watching others play (maybe because it's been common knowledge?) is that you need a membership to download custom designs by others and visit islands not near you... the switch is already expensive, the game isn't cheap either and there's paid membership?? It's a letdown, not gonna lie. I might get a membership but definitely later. I want to learn how everything works first and get into the groove. And then decide if it's worth it for me 🤔

Best-friends-to-lovers. I didn't really read a book/saw a story where enemies-to-lovers was executed well.

H/C but not fan of either much, to be honest!

Fantasy AU or modern AU?

Modern!AU. I dip my toes into fantasy sometimes but I've never been much of a fantasy girl 😅

Mutual pining or domestic bliss?

Mutual pining can be a lot of fun to read/see, actually.

Smut or fluff?

Fluff. I read smut sometimes too but a good-written fluff is my everything~

Reincarnation or character death?

Reincarnation! But even that is stressful...

Multi-chapter. It's nice when a story takes you on a rollercoaster of a journey.

Road trip fic, I guess? I've never liked kid fics.

...there is something like accidental marriage?? I read good arranged marriage stories in the past but I don't seek them out anymore.

Time travel. I recommend Kerstin Gier's Ruby Red Trilogy if you're interested in some fun, fluffy romance with time travel :)

Even though they're now engaged, their routine is the same: working when the other is at home and vice versa. Not interacting much even on a day off. At least the woohoo is great. But is that enough?

I really thought Brenna will get away with cheating because it was like three in the morning, no Sims to be seen... then a now Teen Celina showed up and ruined everything 🤡 Good news is I think Brenna can rest assured Celina won't tell Jared. Phew!

Literally the same day Brenna learnt Parker got hitched and moved in with his now-wife, he called her on a date... and she couldn't resist. Despite dating for a short time then breaking up suddenly, Parker and Brenna keep gravitating towards each other 😣

Brenna learned some very interesting information from her boss bestie, Morgana... It's the cherry on top that Ayesha is also a friend 😅

Later that day she hung out with Jared's first child, Celina. (Celina is Claire Ursine's child yet to be born when starting the game.) She seems like a sweet little girl. She was at the birthday party also!

Bonus: Brenna is so busy boyfriending others she barely raises any skill but she is progressing well in Charisma! I love the Skill Challenges in the Sims 3, very neat feature 💗

Meet the families of my Medieval town Eldoria 👪🏰

These are the three main families I will be playing rotationally as I try @tedsies Medieval challenge. I started small, I would have liked to start with more families but I wanted just a few to get a hang of things as I’ve never played rotationally before. So here are the three families and small descriptions of them.

The Forrest Family:

Edmund and Lyanna Forrest, have small piece of land but it's home. Running a small farm to hopefully feed themselves and the people of Eldoria. Edmund and Lyanna are very keen to start having nooboos, and plenty of them as they both are Family Aspiration sims. Will the watcher grant their wishes of a big happy family? We will see!

The Mormont Family:

Samuel, Claud and Marie Mormont. Samuel and Claud are brothers who share a very close brotherly bond and Marie is the younger sister to Lyanna Forrest. Samuel is a fortune Aspiration sim, Claud a romance (as he is the town cassanova) and Marie a Family Aspiration sim. Just like the Forrest Family they have a small piece of land, that the brothers hope to have a small farm and Marie hopes to have many nooboos with Samuel. Will Claud settle down or will he sow his oats wherever he can?

The Jorah Family:

The Jorah sisters, Margeret and Merilynn are sisters and best of friends. Margeret is a “looking for a good time” type sim both in her everyday life and love life as a Romance Aspiration sim, the thought of raising many nooboos doesn’t call to her at all. Marilynn is a soft spoken hopeless romantic sim. As the towns midwife (and as of right now the only midwife) she feels it’s her purpose to help being new life into this world and she can’t wait until she can have many nooboos as she is a Family Aspiration Sim, she wants to fall inlove, marry and have as many nooboos as she possibly can and as fast as she can.

There you have it! Hopefully these families make it through the medieval times and the watcher spares them from death rolls!

🌒 The Midnight Hour Legacy Challenge for TS4 🌘

Welcome to The Midnight Hour - a time when mysterious creatures of the night revel beneath the darkened skies and pearly moonlight. This Sims 4 legacy challenge will take you through 10 generations of storybook-esque occult gameplay!

General Rules:

Max the skills listed and complete all the gameplay goals. 

Reach the top of your career.

Each generation has two aspirations. Switch between them during gameplay in order to complete both unless otherwise specified.

Normal lifespan is recommended, but you can play on any lifespan you want.

Cheating for money is allowed (although not recommended).

Do not cheat for skills or goals (unless you encounter glitches/bugs in which case please be my guest and cheat).

Use the hashtag #midnighthourlegacy to share your gameplay.

Notes: 

Each generation has a CAS, build, and gameplay specific challenge. 

Most packs are needed to play this challenge in its entirety. I urge you to change up any rules or goals to suit your own gameplay and whatever packs you have.

As occult gameplay is often lacking, I highly recommend playing with mods/cc to enhance your gameplay. Always download and add mods/cc to your game with caution.

Disclaimer:

There may be some issues with completing certain goals in this challenge due to the already existing lore in The Sims 4 where certain occults do not get along with one another (werewolves and vampires hating each other upon meeting, also fairies disliking spellcasters and vampires). If you have any issues please feel free to send me a message on tumblr @jasminesilk so I can update the challenge accordingly.
