I saw someone say that The Night King is a metaphor for global warming, and they were using that as a point against the show, saying they had dropped the ball. But I think it’s a point FOR the show. Because global warming isn’t the problem, it’s the result. Just like the Night King. WE are the problem. We caused it to happen. So it makes sense why he isn’t the ultimate evil. As long as we are at war with each other, it will never end. On and on the wheel will turn, forever. The only way to get a resolution, is to change the way things are. Like I said in my previous post, this is why the throne must be destroyed and a council of all the houses must rule. Because if we sit, say, Jon on the throne, what’s to stop his descendants 100 years from now starting war AGAIN. It must end. That’s why I think this past episode is amazing. Because it shows us that we are fighting a losing battle if we are only focusing in result, not the core issue. Nobody DESERVES the throne. Because it’s only a temporary solution.
