The dance scene but with Roper instead of Roxana...
Checking ao3 fandom tags that never (or hardly ever) contain MM fics on an almost daily basis because you never know, today might be the day. It never is.
Just let Rupert and Tony hatefuck already. And let Declan watch.
Any chance the Rivals ao3 fandom can get a little less straight this series?
Thinking about Series 3 of Doctor Foster, and if Tom isn't gay with extreme daddy issues, I don't want it.
“you cannot ship these two fictional characters because—” actually I can because they are not real people. they are just toys I play with. you cannot apply real-world morality to fiction or how strangers play with their imaginary toys in their imaginary sandboxes.
you can, however, curate your own internet experience by minding your own business, muting/blocking/scrolling past what upsets you but does not hurt anyone in real life in any way, shape or form.
“ship whatever you want except xyz. there is a limit” so you miss the entire point of what I just said 👌🏻
there is, in fact, no limit. I may be uncomfortable with it, I may even find it unpleasant/disturbing, but my personal feelings are not rules that can be applied to other people, and they absolutely do not justify shaming or harassing other people.
Barely posting but somehow pissing some people off for reasons my stupid autistic brain will never understand, but will obsess over for weeks, is why I second guess everything.
Bertie Carvel as Adam Dalgliesh Dalgliesh 1.02 (2021)
Every time I see EastEnders making an effort with a mental health storyline for a male character, I get angry about how they handwaved away Max's all over again. All because them taking Max's seriously would mean having to admit that what the Beales (and Phil and the others) did deserved far more punishment than they got.
Just finished Young Sherlock, so like any sane rational person, I'm thinking about Moriarty fucking Sherlock's entire family (yes, all four of them) and making Sherlock watch.
Right when I needed it most, my favourite terrible fic has returned. (Kind of.)
Poor Martin Fowler. His first best mate/crush died before he could shag him, and then he died before his second best mate/crush started shagging men for money.
I would question why using the term yaoi makes me feel like I'm appropriating despite being a gay man who has been reading about men fucking each other for over half his life, but I'm not sure I want to get into it.
Against my own wishes, I've thought about this some more and it's not limited to "yaoi", it's all vocabulary popular online. And I think it comes from a fear of being told I'm using it wrong. Which in itself stems from a fear of being perceived. (Also not really an age thing, I've had a fear of using slang since I was a teen.)
For example, I was told I was probably autistic about three and half years ago now (and have been stuck on a waiting list ever since) and I've slowly been realising that some of the things I do would likely be considered stims, but would I feel comfortable calling them that? Absolutely not. Out of fear that someone could call me out on using it wrong.

I appreciate the commitment to giving Peter a new daddy every film, and I'm sure Frank will fill the role well, but I'm still disappointed it's not Matt.
