Faith was a bit surprised to see Lilah Morgan out of all people in Wesley's apartment. "I'd heard he was playing with fire, but the fucking devil herself. Damn. And to think he preached at me." Faith tossed herself down in the couch, not looking much like a guest. She never was the type to confine to all these social norms. "What is a lawyer like you doing here, with someone like Wesley?" She asked pointedly.

Lilah had just finished showering and was in the middle of finishing getting dressed when the knock on the door had come. She knew Wes hadn’t been expecting anyone. So of course she was slightly surprised to see Faith at the door.

That had been about ten minutes ago and now Lilah was standing in the middle of Wesley’s living room with Faith making herself right at home on his couch.

“What’s going on between Wes and I is really none of your business. Why are you here? Does he even know you’re in town?” She asked.

When Cody automatically insisted that Wes had it all under control Lilah laughed at the words. “Right.. read the room vision girl, they left us alone in a hotel with zero security! I hate to break it to you princess, but Wes does not have any of this shit show under control. “ they had weapons sure, but that was about it and there were far too many ways to get in and out of the hotel especially for a vampire.

Cordelia shot Lilah a hard look, sligthly, very, annoyed that the evil lawyer sitting in her hotel didn't think she had anything to offer. "This isn't my first run in with Angelus." Cordelia said, while knowing very well that she had been a scared teenager. Even if she had been angry. "Yeah, maybe he doesn't have it all under control , but we are going to get this shit right. No one of us is getting killed. Not tonight."

While the rest of the team was out looking for Angelus,Lilah was left alone in the hotel with Cordelia. Coming here hadn’t really been Lilah’s first choice, but she was injured and low on viable options,plus Wes had insisted that there was safety in numbers or something similar. So here she was sitting in the Hyperion lobby with a seer and former cheerleader. “So who’s brilliant idea was it to bring Angelus out?” She had a good idea of who’d come up with such a dangerous plan, but confirmation was always good.

"Pft, Wes got it all under control." she automatically replied, going straight into defense of her friend. Even if Lilah might be on to something. Wesley wasn't all as he was supposed to these days. Hell; no one was. This fighting the good fight thing? It was getting hard. Was it even worth it? What if they couldn't get Angel back? What if they had pushed the line too bad this time and Angel was gone for good. Cordelia didn't want to think about it even. Despite their ups and downs, Angel was one of her closest friends and more like family than her true one.

what if i say i think wesley did fell in love with lilah but thought he should be in love with fred because she was good and lilah was evil (in his mind). but the fred thing was more infatuation than actual love.

the shapeshifter!angel x lilah scene is so special to me bc of what it says about lilah. we see her pause for a second when he kisses her, consider it, and then she jumps right to tearing his clothes off. when she tried to seduce lindsey in s2 in order to frame him we see that she has no qualms using her sexuality for her own advantage. and when he goes in to kiss her i do think it's implied that she wavers, that part of her wants that intimacy with him. but with angel there's nothing to gain from it. with him it's purely the wanting to. but at no point is the dynamic between them ever romantic; lilah is not in love with him. the angel scene shows us that lilah is lonely, that she’s looking for genuine human connection and she’s so desperate for it that she’ll even take it in this sorry excuse of a form. for her, sex is the most efficient and the least vulnerable way to intimacy, and quite possibly the only strategy she has to get there.

A few days after her interview with Michael and Gabriel,Lilah decided she needed some place different from her usual drinking spots in town. Which is how she ended up walking into The saddle ranch saloon. Walking into the bar she couldn’t help, but feel a little bit like she was back home in Montana.

She walked over to the bar and took a seat on one of the empty barstools. She smiled at the bartender as he came over to her. “I’ll have a scotch thirty year old on the rocks please.”

Lannik looked around and smirked. "Now don't go insultin' the place," he laughed lightly. "Place may not be as upscale as you're used to, but it ain't bad," he grinned at her. "But we have some of the best spirits around." He gestured to her glass. "So you aren't the first high-end customer to walk through those doors."

Lilah took the whole day off for her birthday and had started her day early with a trip to the spa and salon. By mid day she was back in her apartment,relaxing with a glass of wine and listening to a song that had been written by David just for her. It was one of the few times she actively let herself think about him and everything that they had shared. The music softly played and David’s voice filled the apartment.

“Love your eyes, how they give me a reasonAnd how they change in the lightHope you know you're everything I wantedIn my whole life” she smiled to herself as she listened to the song.

She was In the middle of checking to see if she still had popcorn when there was a knock on her door.

Tolaas tilted his head at her, gently pulled her into his arms, and kissed her nose. "Ya seem really relaxed taday. Sure ya don't mind company?" he asked. "I don't wanna bother ya if'n ya wanna spend yer birthday alone?"

He moved over to the counter and looked at the cake. "Want me ta sing 'Happy Birthday'?" he laughed lightly.
