Here's some advice from moi:
Don't go to college unless you're REALLY sure that college is what you want to do.
Don't go to college because you feel like you HAVE to go.
Only go if you feel like going to college is really going to beneficial to what you want to do in your later years. Shit, only go if you think it's really worth it.
College is stressful. I've cried over papers because I felt like I wasn't going to get them done. I've cried over courses because I felt like although I was trying my best, I wasn't doing well enough. College is SO mentally draining. I've cried because I couldn't get into a class that I needed for my major because it was already filled. I'm now at a point where I don't/can't even cry anymore because of this place.
College is expensive. THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR A PIECE OF PAPER. STUDENT LOANS THAT TAKES YEARS AND Y(t)EARS TO PAY BACK. BOOKS FOR THE SEMESTER THAT TOTAL OVER $500. And even when everything is paid off, your living expenses are still a factor. Let me remind you that working and being is college takes up so much of your time. I had to call out of work so many times because I needed more time to work on my course work and leaving me with little to no money.
No way am I saying "don't go to college". If that was my message here, I wouldn't be in college lol. I'm just saying that college is tough. It's not just a walk in a the park. It takes a lot of time and dedication and it can be emotionally and physically wearing. You're going to just waste a huge chunk of your life if you go just because you feel pressured to go because your friends are. If going to college is something you really don't want to do, then don't enroll. It's as simple as that. Whether you're going to get a degree, to find a future husband/wife or even for an experience, go because you have a reason.
I know in the end when I finally graduate, the tears are going to worth it. I can't wait to be a college graduate.
i’m following back tons, message me if i missed you
