heya everyone, i’m bee 🌼

a 26 year old disabled practitioner for around 10 years.

right now i’m focusing on learning how to exist happily and ended up making this page to talk about everything i’ve learned about my practice so far.

i think i might have the whole rainbow colour collection in cardigans thanks to my autism.

maybe i should start associating my cardigan colour with the magical property i want to channel that day heheh.

cleansing rituals 101

cleansing rituals are used on those days we just feel a little off. whether it’s the energy in the air or our own burn our - sometimes it’s nice to take a few seconds to cleanse our body and mind in these little ways <3.

- doing a sound cleanse with bells/music you enjoy.

- using blessed skincare to help yourself feel cleaner.

- having a bath / shower to wash away the bad energies.

- applying enchanted oils to help ourselves feel a little better.

- veiling to keep the bad energies away.

- using associating herbs/herb bags to help cleanse/protect.

- writing down your worries and burning them away.

- sleeping in and taking a nap when needed.

my favourite witchy herbs series 01 - st john’s wort 🌿.

st john’s wort is a flowering plant in the hypericaceae family and has been used to aid humans for around 2000.

in witchcraft, st john’s wort is a staple herb for protection and banishing rituals. however the herb can also provide courage, aid in divination, help with moods and bring good luck.

so why is it a must have herb? because of its variating properties outside of witchcraft. so far, st john’s wort has been found to help with:

- managing depression and lifting moods.

- managing anxieties and seasonal blues.

- managing hormonal balances.

- reducing aches and pains.

my fiancé finally caved and let me buy food for the wildlife creatures - so now our morning mental health walks have turned into woodland feeding time hehehe :3

so far i have a bag of nuts (researched checked of course) for squirrels, bird seed for the birds and a bag of cat treats for the strays.

i think i’m slowly unlocking that ‘bag of wonders’ achievement :3

welcome to spring!! ahh i’m so happy it’s here!! what are everyone’s plans? we’re having a picnic (indoor if the weathers bad) with some home made fried chicken + fruits 🍗🍓

deity questions : how do they react to your disability?

short answer? they don’t care.

my disabilities and mental health don’t lessen my worth when it comes to working with my deities.

they don’t baby me, they don’t take pity on me - they just treat me like everybody else :)

yes, our relationship is a tad altered because i can’t do as many rituals or light their candles as often as i like too. but i still do my best to show my devotion and respect to them in other ways that makes sense for my practice.

i will get a reminder though to go easy on myself if they think i’m doing too much at once :) they’re a lot more compassionate and understanding then people think they are <3

“why is community so important in witchcraft?”

is a question i see often when i do my little late night scrolls on the internet and the truth is, there’s no definite answer - community means different things for different people.

for me personally? i think community is so important in witchcraft because not all of us have community in our normal day to day lives.

not all of our families are loving or believe in the same things we do - or even accept it. some of us don’t really have friends to rely on or a village to support us when things get tough.

so that’s why we find it so important - for some people its the closet we get to peace and acceptance <3

i think i spend more time researching and double referencing for my practice now than i did when i was studying for my degree.

whoever said learning stops when you graduate lied, hahaha :3

deity work rambles.

one of the biggest things i've learned through my time with lady aphrodite is how to be comfortable in my own skin.

forcing myself to stand and look at myself with love in my eyes rather than a insecurity scanner.

learning how to style clothes to fit my figure rather than someone else’s.

unpacking the forgotten trauma as to why i even felt those feelings in the first place.

reprogamming my brain to cancel out those insults i'd laugh off to make other people feel comfortable.

forcing myself to really believe that there are people out there that care for me and love me dearly.

and honestly? it's so hard.

i never realised how truly hard it is to love yourself. but y'know what, i'd rather learn/struggle now then regret i never did when i get older <3.

so if you're reading this, take it as a sign to start being easier on yourself because you really are one in a million <3.

tip for practitioners with altars and cats.

please do not lie to yourself like i did.

i did feel a tad insulted that she targeted the tarot cards - felt like that one was a indirect message from the deities hahah.

mother nature has arrived and every month i feel like i’ve somehow managed to piss her off more with the cramps she gives me.

i think next month i’ll try to bribe her or something - maybe then we’ll be friends.
