Hello Jorvik!

I'm Lili Queendragon! You might also already know me as @juliaqueendragon

I came to Jorvik to work as a horse trainer and riding instructor at Jorvik Riding Camp originally only for one summer in hopes of getting into the Jorvik Equine Institute. I didn't get in the first semester and also not the ones after but I fell in love with South Western Jorvik so I stayed.

On this blog, I'll post some of my photography or things I do around Jorvik. Hope you'll have fun reading!

AITA for not telling my dad that I moved to a different country?

So I (F20) have been living on Jorvik for 1.5 years. I came here to work as a riding instructor for one summer but I liked the island so much and I joined a group so I stayed for longer. My mom and my gran, who I lived with before I moved here, are supportive of me living here, have visited several times and are planning to move here as well if I plan to stay for the rest of my life.

So a few days ago I got an angry message on Facebook from my father telling me that I should have told him I moved countries. For context, my mom and Father divorced when I was 14 and I slowly lost contact with him. I was irritated by this because I post content on social media about my experience moving to Jorvik and it's not really been a secret. I got mad and sent him a message telling him he would have noticed over 18 months ago if he had paid attention.

So since I sent that message he blocked me and I've gotten a flood of messages from my aunts and grandma on my father's side that I am a horrible daughter and I should have told them and even my mom and gran got messages and calls.

I think they would have noticed but I'm also feeling guilty because I never told them and I was too invested in an organisation to text them. AITA?

Every time I come back to Moorland it always feels like coming home. I am here so seldom because the work in Valedale keeps me busy (but I did spend the last two weeks here to teach at January Riding Camp) but I'm thinking about staying and teaching here more often.

(I did make some Pictures again so I'll post them soon and I also thought I could introduce you to all the lesson ponies in Moorland)
