Crazed Taylor Swift fan robbed a bank and drove to her R.I. house to give her the money

Taylor Swift had long been dealing with obsessed fans and — just days after one was sentenced to 10 years’ probation for threatening to kill her — another one robbed a bank in order to impress her.

NBC Connecticut reports that a 26-year-old Derby, CT, man named Bruce Rowley robbed a Webster Bank in Ansonia, CT, on April 4, then proceeded to drive to Rhode Island, where the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer, 28, has a beach house in Watch Hill. It was on the way back, on April 5, that police saw his vehicle — a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee — and there was a pursuit that finally ended over the Connecticut border on I-95 after authorities used spike strips to flatten the suspect’s tires.

While being transported to Ansonia, he told police that he has a “crush” on the 10-time Grammy winner and wanted to impress her. So after he robbed the bank, he drove to her house and took some of the money that he stole and threw it over her fence. He also claimed he tried to contact the singer, but she wasn’t home. (A spokesperson for the Ansonia Police Department has not yet responded to Yahoo’s request for comment.)

Rowley, who was bit in the arm by a Rhode Island State Police K9 when he was taken into custody, confessed to committing the robbery after he was arrested, according to the police report. During the robbery — which he pulled off without showing a weapon or making any threats — he didn’t wear a disguise and also seemed to drive his own car.  

Rowley has been charged with robbery in the second degree and larceny in the fourth degree. According to the news site, he remains in police custody until his May 8 court appearance, and a  public defender is representing him.

Swift hasn’t spoken out about this latest fan incident — and her rep hasn’t commented — but she’s long been a target. In 2013, a so-called “crazed fan” was arrested for trespassing on the Rhode Island property. The same guy later showed up at her NYC apartment — and was arrested again.  We mentioned that a week ago, another man, this time from Kansas, received 10 years of probation for threatening to kill Swift. And then another stalker made it to the hallway outside the door of her NYC apartment last year. Stalking has certainly been a problem that Swift has experienced throughout her stardom.

Amid all this drama, the songstress is enjoying one of the least drama-filled times in her personal life. She’s been dating actor Joe Alwyn since last year and, according to reports, she could think he’s “the one.” They’ve been spending a lot of time in his native England and her homes in NYC and Nashville.

Troubled 'Silicon Valley' actor T.J. Miller arrested for bizarre fake bomb threat

T.J. Miller touched down at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, NY, on Monday and was promptly arrested.

According to a press release from the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, the actor best known for his role in Silicon Valley, before he was cut from Season 5 due to allegations of unprofessional behavior, called in a false bomb threat while traveling on an Amtrak train on March 18. The 36-year-old has been charged by federal criminal complaint with “intentionally conveying to law enforcement false information about an explosive device on a train traveling to Connecticut.”

Miller appeared before a district judge in New Haven on Tuesday and was released on a $100,000 bond. The charge against him carries a maximum term of imprisonment of five years.

According to the complaint, Miller allegedly called a 911 dispatcher in New Jersey and reported that he was on Amtrak Train 2256 traveling from Washington, D.C., to Penn Station in NYC, and a female passenger had a bomb in her bag. Miller described the woman, saying she had brown hair and a scarf. Investigators stopped the train as it continued on its northeast route in Westport, CT. Passengers had to detrain and a bomb squad was brought in, but there was no evidence of any explosive device or materials.

Investigators followed up with Miller, who back in New York, where he recently relocated after leaving Silicon Valley, and he gave a different description of the woman with the bomb. During the conversation, the officer suspected Miller had been drinking, but he copped to only “one glass of red wine.” He denied he was mentally ill, saying, “No, absolutely not.” And he seemed genuine, telling investigators, “This is the first time I’ve ever made a call like this before. I am worried for everyone on that train. Someone has to check that lady out.”

It was then determined that Miller was actually on a different train — Amtrak Train 2258 — so then that train was then stopped and searched, again in Westport. Again, there were no explosive devices or materials. However,  during the second stop, an Amtrak train attendant from the first-class car told investigators that Miller “appeared intoxicated upon boarding in Washington, that he consumed multiple drinks on the train, and that he had been removed in New York owing to his intoxication.”

Further, according to the release, “The attendant also advised that Miller had been involved in hostile exchanges with a woman who was sitting in a different row from him in the first class car.” The woman was identified and investigators determined that Miller “motivated by a grudge against the subject female, called 911 to relay false information about a suspected bomb on the train, and continued to convey false information to investigators while the public safety response was ongoing.”

A legal rep for Miller has yet to respond to Yahoo’s request for comment. As for why he wasn’t arrested sooner, likely because Miller has been on the road recently doing standup.

Miller hasn’t been getting good press lately. Silicon Valley returned to the tube without him due to his frequent tardiness, a tendency to fall asleep on set, and abuse of alcohol and other substances, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The story also noted he was “explosive” and “almost a danger” to have around. Miller denied being under the influence while working.

Also in March, Miller settled with an Uber driver over a dispute they had — over Donald Trump — which reportedly got physical.

And in December, Miller denied newly surfaced allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman while in college at George Washington University. He painted the woman as a crazed stalker.

Aziz Ansari makes his first public appearance in months

Aziz Ansari all but disappeared after being accused of sexual misconduct in January, but he’s slowly edging back out into the spotlight.

The Master of None star, 35, took in a Knicks game on Monday night, sitting in courtside seats between Chris Rock and 2 Chainz. Nothing dramatic happened — just a few guys watching the game … and recording some Instagram Stories during breaks.

After the Knicks lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Ansari and Rock caught a bite of sushi. That too was documented by Rock. (Ansari gave up social media last year.)

Ansari and Rock have been friends for several years — and have caught at least one Knicks game before. Friends are probably super important to Ansari after he recently found himself at the center of a national discussion. A woman, whom Ansari went on a date with in 2017, told Babe.net about a sexual encounter they had in which she felt pressured — and that Ansari missed her “verbal and non-verbal cues” that she wanted him to stop. While the woman, who was inspired to tell her story after seeing Ansari with a Time’s Up pin at the Golden Globes, viewed the incident as sexual assault, Ansari said he believed it was “completely consensual.” In his response to the allegation, he added, “It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.”

The accusation against Ansari stirred up a debate over whether the #MeToo Movement had gone too far. Some called the article poor journalism. Some felt Ansari was unfairly humiliated. Some applauded the woman for furthering the dialogue on a controversial subject because it’s not a black and white issue.

While this debate took place, the comedian and actor dropped out of sight. According to Indie Wire, he was living “overseas.” His Master of None co-star Lena Waithe told The Independent that he was “doing good” and “in good spirits.” His former Parks and Recreation co-star Adam Scott echoed that sentiment.

If Ansari was overseas, he was back by April 2. That’s when he was photographed for the first time since the allegations. He was walking down a NYC sidewalk. It was a week before he made his first public appearance at last night’s game.

As for what will happen with Master of None, for which Ansari won Best Actor in a Comedy at the Globes? Waithe told The Independent she wasn’t sure. “I mean, I talk to Aziz and Alan [Yang, co-creator] but it’s the last thing that ever comes up in our conversations,” she said.

A buzzed Jennifer Garner gives fans a tour of her purse — and there's some weird stuff inside

Jennifer Garner has proved yet again that she’s one of Hollywood’s most relatable stars.

The West Virginia native who still embraces her marching band roots is back to work on the set of her new TV show Camping, but it was after a fun evening drinking wine that she decided to invite her fans on social media to take a look inside her purse. The findings were kind of amazing because we’re just like: What? Huh? OMG. But at the same time, who doesn’t have a lot of weird crap in their purse? In that sense, we totally get it.

Garner, 45, was the one to note she had been drinking — and we definitely caught hints of that while she pulled out the oddest things from her bag. While a datebook isn’t so crazy (though in the days of smartphones it’s a little outdated) or the tea bag, stray dollar bill, or endless sticker collection (she has three kids), these things kinda were:

A honey dipper — or as she called it “a honey thing.” We’re not sure why anyone would carry one in their bag, but she takes her gardening seriously, so there could be a good reason.

A geode — ya know, a rock with crystals in it? “Why though?” she asked as she held it up, but answered for herself, “I don’t know.” Perhaps it gives off good juju in her post-Ben Affleck life?

And finally, a faux light switch, which she demonstrated its usage with a laugh. It’s definitely not an essential … for anyone. So why do we suddenly want one?

Garner ended the silly bit, by saying, “That concludes today’s episode of ‘What’s in My Bag’”— meaning she now has not one but two fake online shows. The other, of course, is her pretend cooking show, which is equally adorable — though she seems more sober. She takes her cooking seriously.

The actress is back at work on her first big TV project since her Alias days. It’s a show called Camping, which is helmed by Lena Dunham, so maybe the light switch flashlight will come in handy on the set. We’re not sure anything else in her bag really will.

Mama is ready for a little “me time.”

After taking her four children for an epic spring break trip through China, Japan, and Hong Kong, Heidi Klum was ready for a little adult time — and she found it on another vacation with her new man, German musician Tom Kaulitz. And make no mistake, it was adult time — because she spent a lot of it topless.

Historically, the hard-working star of Project Runway and America’s Got Talent, 44, is known to go topless while sunbathing on vacation. (“I’m a European German girl and we like to go topless. Don’t love the tan lines!” she has said.) She continued the trend in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Sunday when, while kicking back with Kaulitz, 28 outside their villa, she dropped her top. They cuddled, snapped photos, and enjoyed drinks. At one point, he was fully sitting on top of her on a chaise lounge.

So clearly Heidi has moved on from her last romance, with 31-year-old art curator Vito Schnabel, which ended in September soon after he was photographed out with another woman. However, like Schnabel, Kaulitz is a younger man.

What do we know about him? Well, he’s also German. He and his twin brother, Billy, are in the band Tokio Hotel, which has been making both German and English hits since 2001. Tom plays guitar. Their band was big enough to get stalkers — and Tom found himself in trouble after he hit a female one. Tom has modeled. He was also briefly married — to a German model Ria Sommerfeld until Tom filed for divorce in September 2016. (Heidi has been married twice.)

Tom was spotted visiting Klum on the set of America’s Got Talent in March — and they packed on the PDA — and that was the first hint that something was going on. Just weeks before that, Klum was on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and said she was “very single and ready to mingle.”

She’s not a woman who wastes time! And why should she.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and her teen daughter share a mutual love of fashion. That’s what brought the pretty pair together on Sunday night — a girls’ night out in NYC for the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda Fashion Show at the Metropolitan Opera.

The fresh-faced Carys Douglas looked like a younger version of her actress mama — with a splash of Michael Douglas. — right down to her strappy toesies as she sat side by side with her mother inside the show. The teen, who turns 15 on April 20, clutched her phone and made sure to document the show on Instagram. Ya know — Instagram or it didn’t happen.

Their arrival was documented as well. After they posed for photographers, they walked up the red staircase holding hands, guided all the way by a handler. Carys had on an off-the-shoulder top along with skinny black pants while her mom wore a black lace dress. They both had on strappy black sandals. Mom clearly had a spray tan.

The women have attended other fashion events before — and are on the same page when it comes to fashion. Catherine has even said she’s OK with Carys sneaking a short skirt by her famous Fatal Attraction star dad, 73.

“I said to her once, ‘Why aren’t you wearing that gorgeous little corduroy, vintage-looking skirt [to school]?’” Zeta-Jones, 48, told Yahoo Lifestyle in January. “She goes, ‘I packed it, because dad’s taking me to the train station.’ You know the deal: Dad’s taking her to the train station. She’s got her leggings on and then, when she gets to her friend’s house, she whips on the little mini. And daddy’s none the wiser. I went, ‘I love you for that… Good call.’ The less they know, the better it is.”

Zeta-Jones added that Carys really “has a good sense of style,” and “to her dad’s delight, doesn’t overdo the bod.”

The Cocaine Godmother actress has said several times that both her children, also including 17-year-old son Dylan, are interested in pursuing careers in showbiz. It’s part of their genes being born into the Douglas family.

“A lot of people say to me, ‘How do you feel about that?’ and I say, ‘Well, they’re good,” Zeta-Jones also told Yahoo. “I mean, I’d be the first to say, ‘We need to change direction,’ and kind of steer them towards another occupation, but they’re good. And they love the craft of acting. They respect it. They know what it takes. They know the odds. They know the issues of being the daughter of, the son of, the granddaughter of, the grandson of… but they have it in their belly. And once it’s in your belly, it’s hard to get out of it.”

Italian luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana is showing couture for the first time ever at numerous iconic NYC location. Over the weekend, Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Gioielleria exhibition at the New York Public Library. Nick Jonas was among the attendees at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Sartoria Fashion Show in the Rainbow Room in Rockefeller Center.

Brooke Burke files for divorce from David Charvet after 7 years of marriage

Brooke Burke and David Charvet are ending their marriage.

The genetically blessed pair, who started dating in 2005 and said “I do” in 2012, are getting divorced, according to multiple reports including People, Us, and TMZ. She is the one who filed in L.A. County on Friday. 

A rep for Burke, who rose to fame as the host of Wild On… and won the mirror ball on Dancing With the Stars in 2008, has not yet responded to Yahoo’s request for comment. She runs the website Modern Mom, so expect the news to come out of there.

Brooke, 46, told Working Mother in 2010 that she actually met the Baywatch alum-turned-real estate, 45, developer when they were 21. “We had an on-and-off relationship for many years, then we were friends for a long period of time,” she said. After I separated from my husband [plastic surgeon Garth Fisher] in 2005, we got back in touch again and decided it was now or never. And we made a commitment and moved in together a year later.”

They became engaged in 2006 and had two children — Heaven Rain, 11, and Shaya, 10 — but that didn’t make them race down the aisle. Their long engagement ended in 2011 when they secretly tied the knot in St. Barts. “It was pure love, commitment, and romance that lead me to marry David in such a picture perfect way,” she said soon after. “Trust me when I say that my love story has been unpredictable at times. But this day was a long time coming, beautifully staged, and totally meant to be.”

Brooke explained at the time that the reason they didn’t marry before that. “Honestly, I was happy with how things were,” she admitted. “But something changed this past year. To stand with David in the middle of the Caribbean sea and exchange our promise to one another seemed so powerful and meaningful. It was the greatest gift that I could give to us and to our children.”

The last few years haven’t been without drama, however. Burke, who also has two daughters from her marriage to Fisher (Sierra, 16, and Neriah, 18), announced in 2012 that she had thyroid cancer and underwent surgery. And for several years they battled with their Malibu neighbor, The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss.

But just last year, it seemed things between the pair were solid. In an interview with New You, she said her failed first marriage, which lasted from 2001 to 2005, still weighed on her. “I regret having a marriage that didn’t work, because divorce is ‘forever’ for children. I regret that my two oldest daughters have to grow up knowing that sometimes a family falls apart. That’s my heartbreaking life lesson. But I’m happy that they can see love now.”

All the family photos Kim Kardashian has posted from Easter

Easter was Chicago West’s first holiday — and mama Kim Kardashian made sure to capture it all.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 37, posted yet another photo of her infant, who was born on January 15. She’s cradling the baby as our favorite pink-haired rapper, Kanye West, 40, looks on. The photo gives us a full view of the tot, who was treated to quite an elaborate first Easter, but, of course, won’t remember a second of it.

Kim has shared some stunning photos of the day. The most notable was the family photo she posted along with Kanye and all three of their mini-mes, including North, 4, and Saint, 2. Chi was sleeping through that — and it seems like that was for the best. Kim noted that three kids were crying soon after because the struggle is real when it comes to capturing family photos.

Clearly the kids — including North and her BFF cousin Penelope Disick — had a ball at the Easter bash, which was over-the-top (in true Kardashian style) with eggs filled with money, a giant bouncy slide, tug of war, and the world’s biggest Easter bunny floral arrangement. Kim, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Kylie Jenner were all there.

Why Lorde apologized to outraged Whitney Houston fans over 'extremely poorly chosen' bathtub pic

Who knew that taking a bath could get someone into so much trouble?

This is Lorde’s current plight. The New Zealand singer, 21, has been on tour (fittingly, the Melodrama World Tour) and took a random photo of a random moment of her day and now — bam! — it’s a controversy. Of course, there are a few other parts of the story: Her random photo was of a bathtub and the caption was “And iiii will always love you.”

Whitney Houston fans felt like the post was an attack against their queen, who slayed that song, a Dolly Parton original, in The Bodyguard, but went on to die the most tragic of deaths after drowning accidentally, in a drug haze, in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton in 2012. (In the world’s worst coincidence, her only daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown died in a tub three years later.) Fans expressed their anger against Lorde on social media over the diss, some of them using the #LordeIsOverParty, which seems extreme for a mistake that also seems inadvertent.

Lorde had to have known that by drawing a bath full of water, taking a picture it, and then using one of Whitney's songs as a caption that people would get and suspect that she was being shady. It's quite obvious. Maybe she didn't mean it but still.

Nevertheless, Lorde found herself deleting the photo and apologizing to Whitney’s still-strong army after #LordeIsOverParty started to trend. She actually apologized more than once, and called herself an “idiot.” But she also made clear the point of her post in the first place wasn’t to rile up Nippy’s fans. The girl just was just excited to take a bath.

And if this photo is any indication, she’s been working it on stage. It’s not everyday that a singer’s shoes fly off during a show.

Luckily, Lorde — who has since posted photos with the comments off because they’ve been so awful — has her own group of supporters who have her back. They took back the #LordeIsOverParty tag by posting positive Lorde comments.

But let’s be real here. Lorde is used to dramz. Earlier this year there was a squabble over her not being asked to perform at the Grammys. And maybe it’s much ado about nothing, but she’s been linked, on and off, to Jack Antonoff, ex of her friend Lena Dunham. (He performed with her on a tour stop recently.) And basically everything she says about pal Taylor Swift is critiqued. So she can handle the bathtub.

Amber Rose recreates 'Psycho' shower scene to sell sex toys

Amber Rose has put a decidedly modern take on an old classic.

The headline-generating model, 34, remade the famed shower scene from the 1960 horror flick Psycho, something that has been done many times before. Only here’s the catch — her version is an ad for a sex toy.

Rose is getting her loofah on in the shower when in the shadows comes someone yielding a pink vibrator, the Ina Wave, from the brand Lelo. Unlike Janet Leigh’s Marion Crane, Rose was happy for the special delivery. “Ah, thank you,” she purrs. “I was looking for that.”

Of course, the real shower scene from Psycho is one of the most iconic in all of movie history. Last year, there was an entire documentary just on that scene.) Helmed by Alfred Hitchcock, 78 different camera angles were used to film it. And Leigh’s character didn’t have a, well, happy ending.

Sean Penn's son Hopper arrested for drug possession — one year after saying his dad's 'tough love' helped him overcome meth addiction

Sean Penn recently said that he and ex-wife Robin Wright “did not share the same ethical views on parenting, including the continuing parenting of adult children.” It makes us wonder how they’ll handle the latest challenge, which is the arrest of their son, Hopper, on drug possession charges.

The 24-year-old actor and model was arrested, along with his girlfriend Uma von Wittkamp, on Wednesday after a routine traffic stop for failing to signal in Nebraska, according to multiple reports. A search of the 1992 Volvo turned up 14 grams of marijuana, 4 amphetamine pills, and 3 grams of psychedelic mushrooms, Page Six and TMZ confirmed. Hopper was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance (psilocybin, which is in the mushrooms) and possession of marijuana (one ounce or less). Von Wittkamp, with whom Hopper has been stepping out publicly since 2015, was booked for two counts of possession of controlled substances for the mushrooms and amphetamines. Possession of a controlled substance is a felony in Nebraska.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department provided Yahoo with Hopper’s and von Wittkamp’s mug shots.

Hopper Jack Penn, who is named after the late Dennis Hopper (as well as Jack Nicholson), has been candid about his drug troubles. In an interview with London’s ES Magazine last year, he revealed that he had a crystal meth addiction. It was his dad’s tough love that helped him beat it, he said.

“I was pretty bad,” said the War Machine actor. “I just got caught a lot doing stuff, you know? Whether it was my parents or the cops.” Hopper said he went from being “a pothead” to taking crystal meth. “I was doing a lot of stuff,” he says, “but meth was the main one that brought me down.” He got help after an ultimatum from his dad. “I went to rehab because I woke up in a hospital and my dad was like: ‘Rehab? Or bus bench?’ I was like, ‘I’ll take the bed,’” he recalled.

Hopper has made headlines for his troubles before. In 2013, he used racial and gay slurs during a dispute with a photographer. In 2009, he was arrested for illegal drug possession of the painkiller Vicodin at Malibu High School, People magazine reported.

On his recent book tour, Sean made it clear that he and his House of Cards star ex-wife, who ended their marriage for good in 2010, don’t see eye to eye on parenting.

“Um, we don’t not get along,” he said on Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast last month. “We have very separate relationships with our kids at this point, and it seems to work out better that way. They are making their own decisions, and as it turned out, she and I did not share the same ethical thoughts or views on parenting, including the continuing parenting of adult children.”

Penn continued, “It was better for her to be entirely whatever she is and available to them — and they love their mother and they have that relationship — and for me to be entirely available but also … we’re always going to have conflicting ethics.” When asked for clarification about that, he refused to answer. “That would be getting too much into my kids’ personal life.”

Reps for Sean Penn and Wright have not yet replied to Yahoo’s request for comment.

It’s now been 24 years since the death of Kurt Cobain, but that doesn’t make it any easier for Courtney Love.

The songstress shared a throwback of the late Nirvana frontman, whom she married two years before his 1994 suicide. In the shot, he’s holding their daughter, Frances Bean, while sucking on the infant’s pacifier.

Love, 53, said she missed the superstar, whose death still remains the topic of conspiracy theories. She also debunked the old saying, “time heals all wounds,” telling her followers that the hurt is still there.

Luckily, the hurt between her and Frances has largely been healed. After the model, artist, and singer, now 25, was mostly raised by her grandmother, Wendy Cobain, she and her mother reconciled in recent years.

Frances, who recently shared that she is two years sober, also paid tribute to her dad, sharing her first clip of original music. In the video, which she posted Wednesday night on Instagram, she sings, “I think I saw you when I was small. I think I found you.” Later, she sings, “Jesus hangs in your place on the cross/All these hinges become unscrewed/Heaven knows it was a cage on earth.” However, she deleted it soon after — perhaps because it got so much attention.

Courtney often recognizes her late husband on her social media accounts. On what would have been his 51st birthday on Feb. 20, she posted a throwback of them together, writing, “God I miss you.”

Despite the sizable fortune Cobain left behind when he passed, last week People magazine reported that Love is being pursued by the IRS over an unpaid 2016 tax bill that totals $568,674.62. Just three months earlier, she paid to settle old tax bills from 2012.

Jon Hamm is going to have to do better than that.

The Mad Men alum has given thousands of interviews, but seemed caught off-guard, unprepared, and agitated when, during a wide-ranging new interview with Esquire for the magazine’s spring/summer The Big Black Book style manual, he was asked about being part of a violent college hazing incident at the University of Texas-Austin in 1990, which led to criminal charges against him and that chapter of the fraternity shuttered permanently. In fact, the interviewer noted that Hamm’s tone after the topic was brought up became “tinged with anger,” and he said, “I hope I didn’t sign up for a hit piece.”

What got him so upset? In April 2015, just after he concluded a stint in rehab for alcohol addiction and just before Mad Men ended, a 1991 lawsuit was surfaced in which a Sigma Nu pledge named Mark Allen Sanders claimed he was severely beaten, led around “with the claw of a hammer beneath his genitals,” and had his pants lit on fire by a group of seven fraternity brothers including Hamm in November 1990.

Hamm specifically was called out in the lawsuit, which was widely covered at the time (see this article in the San Antonio Light), but it was long before the star was famous. Sanders alleged that Hamm became “mad, I mean really mad,” when he was unable to recite things he was supposed to memorize about the frat members. For instance, Hamm’s list included “Young Bobby,” ”MC Hammer,” and “UT Football Punching Bag.” Sanders also alleged that Hamm hit him with a paddle and shoved his face in the dirt. “He rears back and hits me left-handed, and he hit me right over my right kidney, I mean square over it,” he said in the lawsuit. “Good solid hit and that, that stood me right up.” Sanders, who suffered a fractured spine and nearly lost a kidney, noted that Hamm participated “till the very end.” Hamm was one of “the most serious offenders,” Travis County Attorney Ken Oden said at the time, according to the Washington Post.

People reported that an arrest warrant was served for Hamm and the others in 1993. According to the AP, the future actor received deferred adjudication for his hazing charge, which under Texas law allows a case to be dismissed if the defendant successfully completes probation. A separate assault charge was dropped. However, Hamm was long gone from Texas by then. University records show that he left school the same semester when the alleged hazing occurred, the AP reported. (He returned to St. Louis, where he became a daycare teacher at the University of Missouri.) Sanders’s lawsuit was ultimately dismissed in 1993, but not before UT’s Sigma Nu chapter was permanently disbanded.

A rep for Hamm didn’t comment on the incident when it was brought to light in 2015 — and the star himself didn’t give much a comment to Esquire in the new interview. In addition to his “hit piece” comment, the interviewer noted that he bristled at the topic. When he finally addressed it, he downplayed it as “sensationalized” and called someone being led around “with the claw of a hammer beneath his genitals” a “bummer,” a word he used twice. 

“I wouldn’t say it’s accurate,” he told the magazine. “Everything about that is sensationalized. I was accused of these things I don’t… It’s so hard to get into it. I don’t want to give it any more breath. It was a bummer of a thing that happened. I was essentially acquitted. I wasn’t convicted of anything. I was caught up in a big situation, a stupid kid in a stupid situation, and it’s a f**king bummer. I moved on from it.”

Needless to say, the internet has opinions on his bizarre response.

Hamm’s Esquire interview touched on other things, including how he worked as a set-dresser for soft-core porn movies when he first moved to Los Angeles and his 2015 breakup with Jennifer Westfeldt after 18 years together.

Ah — there’s Carrie Underwood’s pretty face.

The “Jesus, Take the wheel” songstress shared a photo from the studio on Wednesday, signifying that she’s hard at work on some new tunes. However, it also shows that she’s healing nicely following her November facial injury, which required 40 to 50 stitches and she described as “gruesome.”

The 35-year-old country singer, a seven-time Grammy winner, has her hair in a topknot in the revealing photo. She’s wearing a gray sweatshirt with cut-outs, a casual look for a studio day, and a serious expression.

This is the first photo she’s shared on social media in which she wasn’t masking her face in some way or another, which leads us to think that she’s feeling better about the recovery process. (A photo that a fan took with the star made headlines in January.)

Carrie’s previous Instagrams, including this one with husband Mike Fisher, have largely covered her face:

In November, she shared that she broke her wrist after falling on stairs at her Tennessee home, but the following month she shared the true extend of her injuries.

“There is also another part of the story that I haven’t been ready to talk about since I have still been living it and there has been much uncertainty as to how things will end up,” she wrote in a post to fans. “It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life. In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in. Now… seven weeks later and, even though I’ve had the best people helping me, I’m still healing and not quite looking the same… When I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different.”

Needless to say, her fans are thrilled to see her again — and are even more excited for new music.

As if healing from her devastating injury wasn’t enough, while Underwood has been recovering she’s also been target of tabloid claims that her marriage is in trouble. Her husband, unretired hockey star Mike Fisher, made it clear that things are great for the parents of Isaiah, 3.

Heath Ledger died a decade ago, but he’s still being celebrated on his birthday.

The Brokeback Mountain and The Dark Knight actor, who died of an accidental overdose in January 2008, was remembered by ex-girlfriend Naomi Watts on Wednesday, which would have been his 39th birthday. The Gypsy actress, 49, took to Instagram to recall the “darling heart” who once stole hers.

Watts, who dated the Australian actor for two years, from 2002 to 2004 (pre-Michelle Williams and Liev Schreiber), also posted a story with a throwback of them and labeled it “Beautiful Heath.”

On the 10th anniversary of his passing in January, an event that rocked Hollywood, she also paid tribute. Watts, who also grew up in Australia, called him a “beautiful soul” and a “true original,” adding that he always had his heart on his sleeve. “I will never forget his gentle spirit,” she shared.

Watts, who is now linked to actor Billy Crudup, also participated in the I Am Heath Ledger documentary last year.

Naomi’s brother, photographer Ben Watts, who snapped the cover of the recent Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, took photos of Heath circa the Lords of Dogtown. He recently shared he’ll be doing exhibit of “found Polaroids & film” of Ledger in Montauk, N.Y., this summer.

In a peculiar but definitive statement, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced that they’re “lovingly” ending their marriage of nearly nine years. While they reportedly split months ago, if you followed them on social media, you probably wouldn’t have suspected it because they were both still present in each other’s lives — well, feeds.

Although Channing, 37, had likely moved out of their home by then, on Jan. 31, Jenna, also 37, was happy to reminisce about the first time the met, which was at the audition for 2006’s Step Up, the dance franchise that helped launch their careers and relationship. “It’s really cute — and also embarrassing and crazy,” she said of the audition video from their very early days of fame. “Please watch how many times I giggle and laugh.” She added, “It’s very sentimental and amazing for me to watch.”

Yes, their first ever interaction — in 2005 — is documented forever. They were awkward, but cute, and dancing around the room to show off their chemistry — and footwork — to producers. At one point, Jenna, who has said she sounded like Minnie Mouse in that tape, joked that their pose made them look like they were going to the prom. But that was the right vibe to play bad boy Tyler who wins the heart of ballerina Nora in Baltimore-based dance flick.

While Step Up producer Adam Shankman later said, “I knew that they were going to be together forever. There was never a question,” Jenna, who grew up a dance kid in real life, has said that she wasn’t at her best the day of the audition.

“I went in to read for the part with Channing, but showed up late with the wrong scenes,” she recalled told Cosmopolitan. “Then I opened the door on the poor girl who was auditioning before me right as they were leaning in for a kiss. I was horrified. But he was so sweet. He came out and worked the scenes with me.” She said that right away she thought he was “super hot.”

They had their first kiss in the film. “It’s interesting now, because we can watch it and see; we can go, ‘Oh, wow, that was actually our first real kiss,’” she told Redbook in 2014.

But, as relationships are, it was complicated at first. He told Elle in 2013 that he had just “gotten out of a pretty long relationship, so I was in no way ready for another.” That didn’t stop him from flirting with his co-star while they made the movie. “We went out one night and danced at a club, and there was that feeling,” she told Cosmo. “Then we started hanging out.”

Their hangouts were initially PG — no kissing — watching movies and stuff. She described it as “two nights of being weird,” and she had enough of it. So she gave him an ultimatum, which was basically to, um, step up.

“I said, ‘You know what? You are probably not ready to jump into another [relationship],” she recalled to Cosmo. “‘Why don’t you take time and figure out what you want?’ I told him, ‘I always know what I want. I’m more of a monogamous relationship person. So that’s where I would go with this, but I totally understand.’ I was smart enough not to get my feelings wrapped up in it. I figured we might just be into each other because we’re shooting a movie. I said, ‘While you’re figuring that out, I’m not just going to hang out and watch movies and flirt. I’ll see you on set.”

Three days later, after a boozy night out with some of the the film’s dancers, Channing came knocking on the door of Jenna’s hotel room. “He said he had the chance to be free and he couldn’t stop thinking about me,” she said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2017. “He’s in a sombrero, underwear and Ugg boots and said, ‘Let’s do this.’”

A sombrero? Yep, he explained its origins to Elle, saying that the night he showed up at her hotel room, he was drinking at a Mexican restaurant. “One one of my buddies was like, ‘What are you doing, man? She’s dope.’ So “stole” the hat “off the wall” and he went to go see about a girl.

As with many set romances, it wasn’t a secret to the crew. “The next morning he was in my room and I go to set because I had an earlier call time,” she said on Ellen. “I’m getting hair and makeup done and an hour goes by and the production assistants go, ‘We can’t find Channing. We don’t know where he is. He’s not in his room. We’ve banged on his door and called his room.’ And I called a PA over and said, ‘He’s in my room.’” When Channing arrived to set, he was greeted by applause.

Channing has said that he opened up to Jenna about his stripper past during one of their “very first dinners we ever had together. “I don’t know. I’m not shy about it. She was just like, ‘What?’ She needed to know just like everybody,” he told Entertainment Tonight last year. How did she react? “Weirdly enough, girls ask less questions then guys do. Guys want to know everything about it like, what how much? When? Were you naked?”

After Step Up wrapped, “We went back to L.A. and were together, and together ever since — never broken up,” Jenna told Redbook. And while Channing went on to make bank in Magic Mike and 21 Jump Street, he told Elle, “I was broke and I couldn’t pay my half of the rent when we were first together. She was basically my sugar mama for six months.

By the time the press tour began in 2006, Channing and his sugar mama Jenna were a full-on couple. In this interview, she gushes about their “instant bond.”

He was all in, too. Listen to him talk about her dancing skills — and his amazing new life. “I’ve just been so lucky that the right things have come along and the right people have come into my life at the right time,” says young Chan. “I feel like I won the lottery, man.”

At the premiere, which took place in August 2016, they were inseparable. Director Anne Fletcher said they were “very professional” about it though. “They were there to get a job done. I never said anything to them, they just chose on their own to get the movie done first. They took it very seriously.” However, “Once the movie was over,” it was, “Go for it!”

By December 2006, they were full-blown in love and didn’t care who knew it. Channing long ago posted this video of them at a press conference in Italy to promote the flick. In it, she describes him as “a very sweet, loving, funny, giving, caring, compassionate … hard worker. He’s very goal-oriented.” As if she’s a walking, talking version of his résumé.

Yes, she was in love, but  was he. “Jenna’s very, she’s obviously beautiful, but she really, really is as beautiful inside as she is out,” he said. “She’s really real, too. She loves to teach people how to not come from a place of insecurity, just, you know, come from a place of love, I guess. She’s a big fairy, flower child. [She’s] a beautiful soul, a beautiful soul.”

Jenna and Channing got engaged in 2008 and married in 2009. Their only daughter, Everly, was born in May 2013. Jenna had said she looked forward to showing Everly the audition tape from Step Up so that she could see her parents falling in love. However, Channing talked about showing Evie some of the actual movie and she wasn’t a huge fan.

Needless to stay, Step Up was a hit. Their film kicked off what was to become a mega-million-dollar franchise, which also included more films and games. Earlier this year, the new YouTube Red show Step Up: High Water debuted — and the now seasoned pros in Hollywood are executive producers on the series.

What happens with their company, 33andOut Productions, is probably being sorted out right now amid their split news. (It has four films in development, including a film about Peter Pan and Captain Hook called Neverland.) There is a lot at stake, mostly from Channing’s side, but she’s doing well herself with her TV work. Needless to say, a lot has changed since this bright-eyed and beautiful pair first met a decade ago.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan announced on Monday that they’ve “chosen to separate” after nearly nine years of marriage, but vowed to “always be loving dedicated parents to Everly,” their only daughter.

In addition to being “loving” and “dedicated” parents, they’ve always been protective ones, limiting the nearly 5-year-old’s exposure to the limelight. Last month, however, Jenna brought Everly to the Kids’ Choice Awards, at which Channing was a presenter. The trio didn’t walk the red carpet or pose for photos — Channing and Jenna had reportedly split months earlier and he quietly moved out of their family home — but it marked the girl’s first public appearance — and it made headlines. The child walked around inside holding the World of Dance host’s hand, giving us an unfiltered glimpse of the adorable little one.

At the time, we noted it was a big deal for the Tatum family because they had worked really, really hard to keep little Evie’s image out of the spotlight. Yes, they released a photo of her when she was a few weeks old, a move Channing said was made “so paparazzi would stop trying to hound us… You know: Here it is, that’s it. Now, let us be.” She was just weeks old at the time.

I took this just days after jenna and I (mostly jenna) brought our little girl into the world. I've taken many like it over the past 3 years but this is one of my favorites. She was so tired. Haha. But she has such deep strength and other worldly grace. Watching her in those first days transform into a mother was life changing. She was every bit the beautiful, sexy, funny, flawed creature I fell in love with. But the prism turned and showed a whole new light that I had no idea existed, the light of a mothers love. Thank you for that baby. Saw this quote today –" The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother. Theodore Hesburgh" there are a lot of important things in being a father. Who knows what the most important thing is? All I know is that in my case this is pretty high on my list. Love you cake!

Channing and Tatum met when they auditioned for the 2006 movie Step Up and married in 2009. They announced on Monday night that after nearly nine years of marriage, they were calling it quits. Their breakup statement is … positive.

People magazine reports that they actually parted ways months ago, with Channing moving out. “This has been a long time coming,” one insider said. “They really started to grow apart within the last year.” However, they’ve continued to spend family time together — from that outing to the Kids’ Choice Awards to face-painting sessions with their “little tyrant fairy artist.”
