On today’s episode of: Will Emma write today?
I stare at Skarsgards pretty face.
I N D I G O // chromatiica:
INDIGO MANAGES TO REMAIN COMPLETELY MOTIONLESS. she’s heard quite a bit of information regarding the sheriff in this area ( more so than she cares to admit ) and yet she’s one-hundred percent at peace in his presence. those closest to the woman didn’t think spending most of her free time hanging around vamps in the evenings was the smartest of ideas, but perhaps that was part of the reason why indigo was so DRAWN to fangtasia —— when someone spends as much time welcoming the idea of death as much as she does, she couldn’t find the time to be afraid. forehead crinkles in confusion as she leans back in her chair, emerald eyes staring at eric as if he suddenly grew multiple heads. “advice… who said anything about advice?” nothing like a misunderstanding to get a laugh, albeit hollow, out of the woman. she was in no position to be giving advice. “i wasn’t looking to give you advice but more so a general statement —— as someone who ALSO doesn’t give a shit, feeling nothing? it’s both TERRIFYING and exhilarating at the same time.”
“Suppose that’s why you’ve found yourself in my lovely establishment after all, hm?” Fangtasia, after quite the re-vamp (pun quite literally intended) was a testament. A testament to the darkest depths of human and vampire nature. Where people fucked and sucked without so much as a consequence as long as it never left the walls that contained them. As long as hundreds of thousands of dollars were funneled through the underground market of the Hep-V cure blood bank of one Sarah Newlin. Not giving a fuck? Was protifable. Was in Eric’s best interest. “Enjoy yourself. consider your first round of drinks... Ah, on the house.” In true, pure, unashamed fashion, a wink followed by dead lips curling to smirk -- it wouldn’t be a Fangtasia welcome without it.
Oh, he will.

IT’S ALL IN his touch. She’s struck by thunder && the palpitations of the heart return to some normalcy if even for a moment. When he grabs hold of her arms, he snatches hold of her senses. Storm-born woman—her soul erupts in this echoing of thunderous prowess. Powers retained, abilities of the divine dusting her bones && stirring the ache within her flesh. She goes to speak but the words don’t come. They neglect her wishes && hiss back at her will; she’s frozen in this moment, taken by the perpetual intensity of his gaze. Glacial depths, telling of his culture that she’d sought out knowledge of on her own accord so long ago—if only to be closer.
The memories are worth it. The want so strong a thing.
Her skin is scorched no matter the chill in his touch. Set ablaze, some of that life beginning to writhe in agony that she holds it all at bay. Moral compass begs of her to be free of the prison within her mind. Wherefore the locking of gazes is so powerful, so profound, that any other individual could very well be brought to their knees. && it’s in these emotions that their mortality shows—their mortality. All that had once made her human has been restructured && delivered to this divine construct. A cruel reality, in truth. Some would see it as a blessing; she saw it as a curse unshakable.
But she’d try. For her hands befall his forearms, her grasp tight && solemness evident throughout mien. But the rose begins to stand from its wilting. Resolve finds reason. With time, with time…
“Eric..” His name is released on a breath; words don’t come to her. But the willingness to try is in her eyes.
Suddenly, the world comes to a stop. His face, the muscles that constrict around her suddenly freeze. His name on her lips alone sounds akin to the taste of sunshine. A fool to think that any other woman could compare. It’s mercy that comes in the form of his name, and it’s granter... The coldness fades, the world around them seemingly calms as the rustling winds against the trees even silence themselves for the two.
A moment passes, lingering stare still worried that his effort is useless and though she’s so close, literally within his grasp. A shameless gulp as Eric debates his next move as if everything was on the line. But wasn’t it? This small, small, SMALL window that he’s been graced with. The simple choices to make that effect on a catastrophic level.
“Let me bring you home,” Comes softly, as his tight hold slowly eases. As his hand reaches, no dares, to press the back of cool digits to smooth over her cheek. His fingers falter, showing vulnerability in clear form as they tremble. She’s real. So real and terrifyingly present. A selfish request. One that Eric doesn’t hesitate in offering. But his eyes are wishing on her succumbing to selfish desires, selfish requests.
They rest in the eye of the storm. Two souls. Kindred ones. Bound to always return to one another.
Do they brave hell? Or wait for the tempest to calm?
L I G H T N I N G // thyellae:
BEASTLY, HE LEAVES her line of sight only to return in blink’s passing. It’s all been seen before. The speed of his kind, the capability within those hands. Let his chest swell because she’d protect herself from falsehood even if it may take the form of long lost love. She is not above damnation befalling apparitions; she still yet questions this reality && would for some time. Fists ball, tension taut within her shoulders as ultramarine burrows into the confines of frigid blues. Sculpted brows furrow—she’d not stand down.
Clench your jaw, compress the will in your anger. She is war-wrought.
But suddenly, it all wavers. Whatever warmth once yet lingered in his bones before life had been stolen from him oh, so barely pricks at the surface. Everything within a storm-born woman wronged by the divine wavers because she wants only to believe her fight is over. He claims belief, she doesn’t share it. There’s an unyielding pain && it heralds the palm of her hand conforming to abdominal musculature. Pressure applied, to nudge wayward in feeble attempt. “Stop.. just– stop.”
The heart yet aches; her words are not a reflection of her desire.
Is any of this even real?
She used -- used to be so... stoic. The woman he remembered. The snark, the life.. Now seemingly snuffed out by a fate endured that Eric would only wish upon greatest enemies. A punishment poorly disguised as some gift. Whatever it was, Eric wouldn’t bother making sense of it, only for that it effects Lightning in such manner that...
She’s so close and miles apart all the same.
A forceful touch, hands gripping at her arms, a near snarl of a breath that Eric takes. LOOK AT ME. LOOK AT ME. “You’re home, Lightning.” Loud and booming is his voice, thunderous with echoes into the trees. The thought of letting her slip so easily from his grasp comes with yet his lips curling and an unwavering gaze. “I spent enough time and money looking for you. I’m not letting you go now just because you’re being irrational.” Don’t push -- don’t push, DON’T PUSH HIM AWAY. The words can’t come from his lips - it wouldn’t be Eric if they did but eyes shift, they turn to plead to believe him the way he must do so for her. His skin may be cool, his heart still but his soul remains on fire within her proximity and let that warmth be enough to bring her home. “Don’t leave again, please.”

HE DOESN’T BELIEVE HER. But he didn’t see the blood on her hands. He didn’t see it, black as night && all condemning. He didn’t see the souls that wanted only to be free, to move on to a brighter tomorrow. He didn’t feel the pain of realizing she needed all that she’d torn asunder those years ago. The bitterness of her youth && the pain she’d felt converging on the woman she thought she was meant to be. Anguish incarnate, the willingness to do whatever it took to be free of strings && cut through lies. It’s enough to bid a pang of pain within the heart, the swell of anger midst her breast; it’s suffocating.
She’s drowning in her own misery. She’s dying from the inside out; the rose decays.
At her fingertips comes a crackling. It’s an ambient discharge, electricity showing itself on the foundation of raw emotion overwhelming her. A glance toward it gives way only to a shake of her wrist to do away, but it’s been seen no doubt. Oh, but even so she is reduced to silence. Still taken with the anger of perhaps the only individual she’d wanted to find refuge in displacing her words. For all she’s done, for all she’s seen.. she’d let her silence claim her before another would have her back. So her stride carries her wayward on the path she’d taken, throat tightened with impending not.
“No.” She swallows back her frustration. “Not a chance.”
No. He’s not used to the word. No. There’s a twinge of pain that surges -- of offense that Eric’s taken so -- so true to his cold, dead, near rotting heart. It strikes such a cord that without warning, within a near instant, he’s closed the gap. A hardened stare, strained with words that can’t possibly formulate. Like a spoiled child that’s been fed from a silver spoon -- a BRAT. And with that, a breath, his chest puffing with a sudden bolt of anger coursing through him. HOW DARE SHE?!
But in brief, ever so brief -- he’s learned to compartmentalize thoughts, actions in fractions of seconds. A gift for a lengthy life. And -- By Odin fucking loves it.
“Come home.” The words press through a clenched jaw. He’s not asking -- the world is not whole ; his is not whole without her. The gap that Pam’s been trying to fill for however long Lightning’s absence was can take no substitute. And then, softer. “I believe you. Come home...” To me. A ghost of words that he’s too damn stubborn to say.
If I meet the true death without having at least kissed you, Sookie Stackhouse, that would be my biggest regret.
M I A // @celestialmistakes:
It takes just a flash for him to be standing in front of her, just inches from her frame. She takes a deep breath as he towers over her, but her gaze narrows up in his direction. “ – it would have MATTERED! I thought me showing up here would show you just how much I do care and have cared. How much I did care even when I left.” Her cheeks are flushed, chalks it up to her being so incredibly frustrated. “I needed…I just needed to know you were okay,” she breathes out.
“Are you done?” The patience that he grants, can easily be taken away. And Eric’s hardened stare does just that. As sweet as the passion in her voice is -- he doesn’t want to have to be the one to remind her of what happens when those forget for too long who he is. What he’s capable of. “Would you like to slap me before we proceed to have primal, passionate sex? Or would you like to skip to the pleasantries all together? Either way, sweetheart, I’m game.”
L I G H T N I N G // thyellae:
“I KILLED A GOD.” Said so matter-of-fact. Said with a staleness that could only reverberate to heaven on that it was truth && she’d give no regard to not being believed. She knows what she saw, remembers the blood in her mouth && the emotions stolen from her at the hands of a god that would’ve seen her as a mere puppet. Strings cut, ties broken; she’d be controlled by no force of nature. No human, no god—-no vampire. && it’s this very foundation of mindset that is rooted deep in reflective eyes of blue catching the nearest street light.
It goes without saying that she’s since hardened from last they spoke. Re-acclimated to the realm, yet her heart is still so uneasy. At oft times, she questioned the fabrication of reality && wondered if it was only cruel humor of the spiteful god she’d allegedly slain. She, at various times of the night, will lie awake, staring at the ceiling waiting for it to all crumble around her. As though she’d lost, the vision of that god’s death a sweet trick to keep her in the marionette’s hands.
Is it but a dream? Don’t wake her—
Lean form takes to finally turning in lieu, allowing for full attentiveness to be shown. A low sigh cycles through her lungs, rolling from lips in a manner of reeling in harshness of tempestuous mannerism. Arms overlay beneath bust, her hands cusp elbows, && she shifts her weight in hip’s cock to right. “It probably only seemed like a few years to you, but to me? Try a few hundred lifetimes over and over again. Guiding lost souls so they might move on while I was stuck.”
She scoffs && it is a distant thing. “Still in the adjustment period of being.. home.”
I killed a god. Oh, Odin. That itself brings laughter to surface, one that Eric does little to stifle. No, it burst like a well-placed joke into the void. Of course -- of fucking course she did. “Of course you did.” Words fall from cool lips as the laughter settles near immediate. He was a god. All things considered. Lilith’s blood granting him the gifts they did -- not of Bilith’s level but Gods, was it such a feeling to have the sun pressing against skin again.
Her words, her words, her words -- she was gone. And while time before felt almost insignificant after a thousand year life, the days dragged on like weeks, and the months felt like years with the blonde’s disappearance. A piss-poor attitude fulfilled his days, and Pam’s undesirable calling out his behavior depleted at his nights. “But I see you’re back now.” Is it -- for good? Perhaps the will of the Gods will take her away again. Hope... Doesn’t smart -- but Eric Northman is a dumb man.
“Are you coming home?”
