If the magical hoot of the pawn shop door opening wasn’t enough to catch Eda’s attention the voice that spoke sure would have been. “Lily,” she returns, using her sister’s nickname purposefully as she looks over at the older woman. “Treasures is the word you should be looking for. I’m surrounded by piles of endless treasures.” And money - or at least in her mind every item was the same as a sitting pile of potential cash. “You mean the poofing? I’m fine.” Not only had she not disappeared herself, none of those close to her had been taken either. So as far as she was concerned all was fine.
“ Poofing? ” Lilith’s eyebrows rose, and she had to fight off a laugh at the name. “ Sure, that -- what you said, ” she replies, less than amused. She steals a glance at a paperweight that might have been broken, but might have been just made ugly. “ I don’t know why you keep these tchotchkes, Edalyn, but if they make you happy... ” She trails off, but realizes she’s coming to be sentimental. “ In any case, I’m here for my customary ‘ you should join the coven ’ chat,” though she says it as if she isn’t interested.
