17th century dress. A pain to draw, and I’m sure it was to make. It looks lovely though! (Not my dress design)

Based on a dress from the Met, but with a lot of invention for the colors <3
more witches ...very late inktober update. Which I didn’t fail exactly but definitely didn’t fully succeed with. Life is an uphill battle of me trying not to only watch k-dramas. Oh k-dramas. I wish I could quit you. <3 Happy Tuesday

Colored pencils don't suck, guys. Who knew?

Warm up drawings
Yes ma'am. Matt's predecessor.
Dude, look at this. SO LONG AGO
I love gnomes. @mojgon.
This started out as a drawing of Mila Kunis. And then I gave her different make-up and pink hair and now it looks a bit like a sad princess. Which appeals to me. Pink hair is too fun to draw. :D
This is now November and I no longer have a reason to post on tumblr anymore. Except that I really should have been posting drawings on here all along. But enough about the boring day to day stuff of the internet. This is a drawing/ sketch / marker illustration? I made a few months ago. I fell totally in love with the hair and the light on her skin. It's a pintrest reference photo. I have been working on using color to show light and volume and I guess this photo works pretty well for that. This is one of the things that I drew, set aside, picked it back up and found that I did not hate it. I like to think this is artistic progress.
Hey! One more week of October and so these drawings this week will now be in full screen technicolor. I really like unfinished drawings- Where you can see all the layers of the drawing process - pencil, ink, color. I am not sure why - but it feels similar to enjoying building with exposed brick and cement. This kind of drawing is my embodiment of an idealized New York warehouse apartment. Also this girl's head puffs were so cute I had to draw them.
I really liked drawing the repeated guys and their swinging skirts. And I inked it and thought - sweet. And then I thought - nah. And then I thought - maybe? Ah well, I'll share it just in case it is something good. Who can ever know?
It's tuesday and another day into this #inktober fun. I found this picture of Paul McCartney drinking a cup of tea really saucily somewhere in England, rocking a full hipster beard and wearing a sweater - and I was sold. Tea cups and beards should always go together.
First I drew this a bit ago and looked at it and thought 'Hey! Not too bad.' And then I set it aside so I could wait for the hate to simmer and grow and bubble over so that the drawing would become a loathesome representation of all that I lack as an artist. And I sat, and I waited, and I kept waiting, and nothing happened. I still think this drawing is pretty good. I am sure I am missing something, but I am just going to ignore that tiny voice in my head and go on with my life. Be free, little drawing. Enjoy random glances from the internet!
