Imagine if B and Light were a couple, and B takes him to a scary date spot or a haunted house or a really scary horror movie. Light is trying to act unbothered. B is waiting the whole time for him to show fear because it's hot and that's what he wanted the whole time. The whole point from B's perspective is to scare Light because that would be romantic to him.

B knows that Light is an insane little freak, and he wants to see what that insane little freak would look like scared and clinging to him. B's dream would be to make Light bury his face in his (B's) shoulder and hide, and B would have to take care of him. But it would be B manipulating him all along.

Unfortunately for B, he's going to have to try a lot harder than that to make Light visibly shaken enough to be comforted by him. They're both so competitive.

Later, I think B would still be really turned on when they go home, despite being disappointed that Light didn't show more fear. Horror just gets B excited, and he knows other ways to make Light scream and cry anyway.
