Some more work from the past few months that I never got around to posting. All of the originals of these work have been sold EXCEPT for the second slide but I have some variations on each of these that I'm getting ready for future shows so reach out if something catches your eye :)

Behind the scenes I'm working on a little bit more mature work and looking to expand further into some gallery work. Kind of struggling to arrange a portfolio that I feel comfortable approaching galleries with and honestly don't really know where to begin with approaching galleries without open calls. If there's any galleries in the south east, open to emerging artists, that anyone recommends I would love to check them out 😖

Ought to Be Left Alone, by me

Recently been a little inactive. Recently been a little busy. Still been making paintings on my twitch (at twitch.tv/lilnosoul) from time to time though. Maybe check it out. I'll be live around 6pm tonight.

Maybe it's poor time management but, I recognize this happens every semester. My university charges me far too much with little notice for an education that we might consider inequitable. So, then I spend far more time working at another job where I can garuntee consistent paychecks; and spend far less time creating. Things are slowing down now thought. Seeing as this is my final semester maybe I'll keep a more consistent schedule.

Working on putting together some new business cards with a die-cut of my own head. Plan on pasting these on the backs of paintings and including them with resumes and portfolios. Becoming evermore tired by the day but, hopeful for the future.

Focusing on some smaller paintings right now. I feel like constant little studies like these really help me to keep up with everything that goes into my work.

When I'm not painting its really easy to forget real anatomy, to forget how colors work together, and to forget good composition.

Plus, little paintings like these are easy to put together in one sitting while I'm live on twitch. You should check those live streams out. The link is in my bio. I'll probably start putting together process videos and highlights on YouTube sometime next week.

Also, most of the tiny recent paintings, like this one, will be donated to @freeartbham for their scavenger hunts starting next month. Take some of my free art from them.

Look, I love the way my oils blend but waiting weeks for some of my thicker strokes to dry sucks. Anyone know any significant drawbacks to putting acrylic on top of dry oil paint?
