Not sure I entirely follow this but I think it's neat.

(When Shaggy and Scooby are separated:

ver.1 when splitting up for mysteries they have more comedy

ver.2 1980-1983 shorts + DTV movies the supernatural and magic are real (ghosts, genies, witches, vampires; both Scooby and Shaggy turn into werewolves; time travel; weirdness))

(when Daphne is with them:

ver.1 when looking for clues...I can't think of any time the three of them distinctly looked for clues in a setting that wasn't

ver.2.i the Scooby-Doo Detective agency does include supernatural elements but also spy elements, along with real monsters and real aliens (which Velma and Fred both are involved in)

ver.2.ii 13 Ghosts where the supernatural element is very real and actively dangerous but the show's tone is a little bit silly sometimes)

Following up on my post about my Scooby Doo Interp, here's how I envision the rest of the gang

Fred and Daphne basically swap roles in my Interp. Daphne's the leader for the most part. A mix between her What's New and Curse Of The 13th Ghost Incarnations. She takes a lot of the charge here and has an array of different talents she's picked up from lessons her parents put her in alongside her own interests. That said, she's still the people person. A very social gal and the glue that holds her friends together

Meanwhile, Fred is moreso the group's golden retriever. A loyal friend who always knows exactly how to cheer anyone up. Basically a mix of Brett Hand from Inside Job and Tony Toretto from Fast And Furious: Spy Racers. He's still the traps guy, of course. And continues to plot out the best course of action for stopping their catch of the week

Velma is simply how she is in the first Direct-To-Video series. A happy and genuinely adorable nerdy girl who's super happy to solve mysteries with her friends. And their research specialist. Helping Daphne piece together who the criminal is with her book knowledge alongside the knowledge everyone else has picked up

Flim-Flam basically takes Scrappy's role with a few differences. That isn't to say I dislike Scrappy or wish to erase him in this continuity, I just think the character works better in smaller cameos and doses. He's an excited rascal who's super eager to solve mysteries with the gang. When the gang splits up, he usually goes with Daphne or Velma while the other goes with Fred. And he'll help them look for clues and make hypothesizes of his own

Shaggy and Scooby-Doo are the same as usual. I want to portray them with a bit more confidence in their work since S&SCGAD took place not long before this series. But ultimately, they're still pretty consistent.

Okay, so my idea for a new Scooby Doo show is actually based on a lot of older media. Just not the ones you’re expecting (i.e, Not Mystery Incorporated)

The gang have been solving Mysteries since they were kids. (Ex: A Pup Named Scooby Doo) At first, they were going out to stop supernatural monsters themselves in an attempt to figure out why Scooby Doo can talk, among other things. But over time, they’ve kind of grown comfortable in just stopping greedy rich guys from trying to keep land. Why does Scooby Doo talk? Because he can

They continued just that for several years (Ex: Pre-Scrappy Doo Era) until after their final year of High School when the gang took a bit of a break

Shaggy and Scooby-Doo were the first to leave. Albeit due to family reasons. As they had to find their Uncle Albert while saving the world from a mad scientist hellbent on becoming “IMOOOOOORTAAAAAAAL” (Ex: Shaggy And Scooby-Doo Get A Clue)

Daphne and Velma followed. Daphne wound up winning a contest for a summer trip to Honolulu and took Velma with her. The trip quickly went awry, however. As their plane wound up off course and had to land in the Himalayas. They were thankfully given a place to stay by a man named Vincent Van Ghoul. Unbeknownst to all of them, a young con artist named Flim Flam snuck in to find something to sell. Accidentally opening a chest that contained 13 powerful ghosts of dark intention. As technical ghost catchers themselves, Daphne and Velma volunteered to help. Alongside Flim Flam (who didn’t have a choice in the matter) and a dog owned by Vincent’s Butler (Ex: The 13 Ghosts Of Scooby-Doo. With some major differences)

With the rest of the gang on their own separate ways, Fred just kind of drove around America to see the sights. Before he wound up working at a small but beloved diner. Unaware of the mysteries he’d be helping solve in a little town called Riverdale. (Ex: Archie’s Weird Mysteries but with more Fred. I know that’s not a Scooby-Doo Show but I can dream)

After their summer ended, the gang got back together to start their mystery business full time. Only this time with a new addition: Flim Flam. With no parents of his own, Daphne and Velma took him in.

Now even more determined than ever after finding out the Supernatural is real, (Except Shaggy and Scooby. Who ironically faced up against the most extreme you can take “Greedy Man”) Their first call brought them to a small island mansion somewhere in Louisiana. But things quickly took a turn when they discovered it was just a trap for them to get sacrificed. (Ex: Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island) Made even worse is that they were introduced to someone else they hadn’t seen on the island yet. A man who called himself Dr. Phineas Phibes. The same mad scientist who Shaggy and Scooby chased down. The man with one goal: To destroy them

This sets up the stage for our show. There are three kinds of plots here.

Stop the guy in the mask. (Think Be Cool, Scooby-Doo with how it formats it’s mysteries

Oh god, It’s a real ghost, Gang! (A soft reboot of the 90’s Direct-To-Video series)

Dr. Phibes Strikes Back. (The same plot as Shaggy And Scooby-Doo Get A Clue but with the rest of the gang. Uncle Albert also assists from his mansion)

Okay, I was not prepared for my random self projecting post about Shaggy having anxiety to get as many notes as it has, heck, currently is. But honestly, I’m incredibly thankful that people liked it

I actually have a few Scooby Doo ideas that I would love to share sometime and probably will if anyone’s interested. But for now, I’ll just say this

Scrappy Doo is okay. He was living with Shaggy and Scooby for a good amount of time while his mom was dealing with an illness. But the two realized Scrappy would probably be better off in someone else’s hands/paws. He’s currently living with his Uncle Yabba Doo and his owner Deputy Dusty. Shaggy and Scooby still visit him often, of course

Honestly, a friend of mine got me to rewatch a few episodes of Teen Titans Go a while back and it's really not as bad as people say it is. When you look past the show that came before it and accept that it's truly it's own thing, it can actually be quite entertaining at times. It's not perfect but it really doesn't deserve the hate it gets. That said

Be Cool, Scooby Doo! is to Scooby Doo what Teen Titans Go! is to Teen Titans

And on that note, you should really watch Be Cool, Scooby Doo!. I see so many people recommend Mystery Incorporated but dear god, this show is so funny and cares way more about characters jokes than series tropes and I love it

Shaggy doesn’t always have the munchies. He’s stress eating. He’s just grown an appreciation for food since

Shaggy isn't leaning forward because he’s slouching. That and his wide eyed expression comes from being on constant alert

Shaggy likes mysteries. But his main driving force is his friends. He does have a passion here. But in truth, he doesn’t want to let his friends down. He feels like them and Scooby are the only family he truly has
