I’ve been tempted to think of the Anne of Green Gables books as nothing but happy fluffy stories. And it’s definitely full of happy endings and great if you want a break from grim-dark stories.
But I realized I would have been like Katherine Brooke in Anne of Windy Poplars who at first mistakenly thinks Anne has it so easy and is so easily loved by everyone and just naturally has a hopeful joyful outlook on life.
