He smiled “Yeah exactly like that!” He said perhaps a bit too loud. “Like, I can absorb kinetic energy and then send it right back! Although it can be a bit scary sometimes. Like the time I was shot and accidentally put a hole in my bedroom door with my finger! Pops wasn’t happy about that one!” He says laughing happily.

Lily grinned over at him as he smiled, laughing softly as she silently cheered to herself at being right. Studying all the time wasn’t always a bad thing. “You shot a hole through your door? Oh, wow.”

He laughed at the curiosity, it was refreshing to see someone with a curiosity fueled as much as his own. “Wow, so excited! I like that! But its all kind of technical but the best way I can describe it is Kinetic Energy Manipulation. Hopefully that makes sense?” He said tilting his hands waiting for a response.

Lily’s eyes lit up bright, laughing softly. “Kinetic Energy Manipulation? Like you use the energy of a moving object? Something like that?”

Harley hadn’t been on too many dates himself and he never went through this kind of trouble for one date. But this was a date with Lily Rogers, nothing less than spectacular was expected. His fingers were interlocked with hers as he looked around for something they could do. “Well… there’s a mini golf course over there, there are a bunch of rides, then there’s the games if you feel like winning a teddy bear.” He smiled. “Up to you.”

Lily smiled, looking around the pier. “The roller coaster?” She asked, smiling over at him with a raised eyebrow. She looked down at their hands intertwined and smiled at the sensation of their fingers locked together.

The words stung like anything but the moment he felt her in his arms the pain all but disappeared. “I would’ve hated me too.” He said wrapping his arms around her in a hug that was far to overdue.

Lily took in a deep breath, taking the smell of her brother in. “I can’t believe... I can’t believe...”

Teddy laughed a slightly embarrassed laugh “Yeaaaah, I am, haha. And I’m not exactly what you’d call ‘used’ to being around others like me, y’know. Hell I’m not even used to the whole super power thing!” Laughed out.

“What is it?” She asked, her eyes lighting up. “Your power? What is it?” She asked with a smile, laughing softly.

Of course I did.

..I missed you, too.

“I am sorry, Lily. Truly I am, it was never my intention to hurt any of you.” He said truthfully, his siblings meant the world to him. It had been them that had gotten him through the darkness of the last year.

Lily stood up from the couch, looking over at him, taking a deep breath. “I..” She said slowly, “I hated you.” She said, running over, throwing her arms around him in a hug.

Nate nodded. “I did.” He replied pausing for a moment. “Dad and Mum sent me away though and I didn’t have time to say goodbye given the severity of the situation.”

Lily took in a deep breath as she shook her head. “You left.” She repeated, swallowing hard.

Harley couldn’t get rid of the grin that stuck as he watched her reaction, finally relieved that all of it worked out. Quickly hugging her back, he could feel the excitment and he couldn’t wait for the night to really start. “You don’t have to worry about that, Lils. Let’s just go.” He told before taking her hand and walking. “What do you wanna do first?”

Lily laughed as she squeezed his hand. The hug was brief but it was nice. Somewhat different from any other hug she had had with him before. Her heart was pounding and his heart was pounding, it was a good date so far. A great one... a first for her. “Um... anything!” She said with a laugh, looking up at him.

You were asleep for two weeks and I missed you.

“Yeah, thanks!” He had a big old smile on his face at the welcome. She was the first person to technically welcome him, he and Nate just kind of hung out before hand. “So, out of sheer curiosity, how many supers are here?” He’d never really been around people with powers like him before and he was excited to start.

Lily smiled, nodding her head as she laughed softly. “Supers? That’s a good question, it’s sad, I really don’t seem to ask people of exactly why they’re here. Just kind of talk. I’m assuming you’re a super?”

[nate-rogers]

Nate knew that he had to be careful which he was currently standing on the other side of the living room gripping onto the wall. “Its me…” He replied softly not taking his eyes off her, trying to take his sister all in because it had been so long since he had seen her.

Lily ran a hand through her blonde hair, her eyes wide as she stared over at him. He looked different, and yet he looked exactly the same. “You.” She said again, taking in a deep breath. “You left.”

“Well that’s stupid. Avoiding something does everything but make it go away.” He says with a soft chuckle. He looks around “Once again, sorry if intrusive!” He says with a kaugh.

Lily nodded, shrugging her shoulders. “Oh, well... nothing you can really do about it now, huh?” She asked, with a soft laugh. “Seriously, it’s totally fine. Um... welcome to the Academy, though!”
